6. Welcome Back

ZOE

Walking into the large ballroom I was instantly taken back to the night that I had met Louise, Alfie and Marcus. Not realizing but this was the same party, thrown by Youtube for the partners in London. Pulling out my phone I couldn't help but smile as a text from Jack lit up my phone.
"You look beautiful, xx"
Looking around I tried to find his familiar face in the large crowd. Glancing around the room I finally breathed a sigh of relief as I noticed him near the back of the room.
"What are you up to?" I asked as he gave me a small kiss.
"Nothing..." he grinned as he wrapped his arm around my waist.
"Is this the..."
"The Youtube Partnership, party?" he laughed as the songs quickly changed from a loud dance song to another, "yes."
"And why are we here?" I asked a bit confused, "I'm not a partner anymore."
"You can be" he whispered into my ear, "there is a new collaboration channel starting, just for moms."
"Jack.." I sighed as I could feel my face turn red.
Not only was I embarrassed to be at the party, but I was furious that Jack would just assume I wanted to start my whole Youtube career back up. I had left it for a reason, but it didn't seem like he could understand that raising Tallulah, and going to college was my life now. I wasn't some teenager looking for fame.
"Want something to drink?' he asked as I groaned wanting to be out of London right that second, "sure."
"Be right back" he smiled as he disappeared into the crowd, leaving me alone.

Standing with my arms I couldn't help but be angry, not only was I away from Tallulah but I was in a room full of people that were best left in my past.
"Zoe?" I heard a voice yelp as I turned to face the voice.
"Oh my god, Zoe? Zoella?" giggled a girl.
"Yes?" I smiled shyly, "do I know you?"
"No, but I was your biggest fan!" giggled the girl as she wrapped her arms around my neck, "I watched your videos everyday when I would return home from school! Oh my gosh, I can't believe its you!"
"Its me" I sighed sarcastically.
"Oh my gosh! Can I get a picture with you?"
"I'm..." I groaned as she pulled out her phone, "just one" I sighed.
"Yes!" she yelped as she threw her arms around my shoulders. Giving off a small smirk I couldn't believe after being off of Youtube for nearly four years, there was still someone that knew who I was.
"Thank you so much!" she grinned as she gave me another hug before jumping into the dancing crowd.
"A fan?" laughed Jack as he handed me a drink.
"Hardly" I scoffed as I took a sip of the red drink.
"About the channel" sighed Jack, "I think you would really enjoy it, I mean people obviously know you, plus Louise and Tanya are going to be a part of it! They've already signed on to do at least fifty videos. They need two other girls."
"Jack" I sighed as I instantly felt my throat close up. Listening to the music change I could tell the slow song that was put on my the first note, it was mine and Alfie's wedding song.
"I need some air" I yelped as I shoved the glass of punch in his hand before sprinting from the room.

Turning the corner to the outside lobby I slowly came to a stop as I sat down on a near by bench. The thought of Jack, Alfie, Youtube and old friends swirled in my mind as the anxiety started to build. Pulling out my phone I didn't know of anyone else to call as I started to dial numbers.
"Hey" I huffed as I pulled at my cardigan as I fled the building, my phone up to my ear.

ALFIE

Shutting Tallulah's door I quietly made my way back to the living room, to start editing the video that we had made today. Tallulah had dressed like a small reporter as we did a small question and answer video with questions sent in by people on Twitter. Settling down at the kitchen table I quickly grabbed my phone as it started to ring.
"Hello?" I answered a bit confused.
"Alfie?" sighed the high pitched voice.
"Oh, hey, Sadie" I groaned as I finally realized who it was.
"What are you doing?" she questioned as I signed into my Youtube account.
"Just some work, yourself?"
"Just thinking about you" she yawned, "how was your day with Tallulah?"
"It was fine" I answered a bit preoccupied by my laptop.
"Did you miss me?"
"Of course" I sighed, "you?"
"Yes, I missed you terribly. What are you plans after dropping Tallulah off tomorrow?"
"Not sure..." I mumbled.
"Want me to come over? We can...you know.."
"Sadie" I sighed as I rested my head in my hands, "I'm not sure that would be..."
"What are you trying to say Alfie? Are you breaking up with me?"
"NO!" I yelped, "I love you and you know that, I just...were me and Zoe are still technically married, I don't want to cheat on her, sex wise."
Hearing the phone go quiet, I knew Sadie was mad at me, "Sadie?" I groaned, "babe, don't be mad at me."
"And why shouldn't I?" she scoffed, "you hate me! You don't want to have sex with me!"
"Sadie, its not like that."
"Yes it is Alfie!" she screeched before hanging up.
