The few days that have gone after Max left was pretty busy. I was back to school and Katy was back to work. We were both busy, I needed to catch up for school and make up the things that I missed on the first term and half of second term since I was a late enrollee. It was sad though because Courtney was already starting to enjoy summer but I'm doing all my best and working twice as hard to pass 7th grade with flying colors. I really wanted to have straight A's on all but it was harder than I expected. My problem was Reading and Science so I pretty much focused on them.

But even though these couple of days were pretty much work, work, work Me and Katy still managed to spend time together.

It was kind of better than I actually expected because I was kind of "home schooled." I was basically told to go to school on certain days and not every day. I get to do my homework at home, they putted their trust on me on not cheating or under any circumstances to unfollow the policy of Benilde. I would actually kind of teach myself the lessons that we tackled but Katy insisted that she'll teach and help me. I let her do her part but I kind of told her that I was okay because she was busy with work but as Katy, she said she needed to do her part as a guardian or parent to help their child with his/her needs. Of course, I let her do it.

"Hally, what's your plans for your summer?" Courtney and I were sitting in my bed, we were facing each other while I was reading "The Merchant of Venice" by Shakespeare.

"Well, Mr. Briers said that my summer will be moved. So when it's September, I get to be on summer break." I closed the book and faced her.

"Wow, that's unusual. So you do advance study for first term?" She asked.

"Yeah, I got a list of the lessons from Mr. Briers. He told me not to pressure myself with too much work and still remember that I can still enjoy my days even though I have plentiful of work." Her gray eyes were glistening because the sunlight was shining inside my room.

"Wow. So um hey, my older sister Kathy wanted me to spend a few weeks in New York with her. She wanted to spend time with me and my 2 brothers. I won't be able to be here with you, I'm really sorry Hally." Her eyes were pleasing and upset.

"It's okay, Courtney. Don't worry, I'll enjoy my sort of "summer". We can still hang out once you get back." I smirked at her so that she won't be too lonely to leave me.

"Make sure you still enjoy though, make time for yourself and hang out with Katy. Don't mind the work too much and take it too seriously. I can see you've been really caught up with it for the past few days." She looked at me straightly. Courtney was right, I did push myself too much and didn't think about what's been happening around, I missed out on some things.

The past few days were pretty much study, revise and work. I came to notice that I became too much of a workaholic and not make time for myself to enjoy the summer that I'm supposed to be having.

"You're right Courtney. I do have to take these easily and not push myself too much. I'll let today pass." I said to her whilst I cleaned up my table and put all my things inside my bag.

"So, what are we going to do now? Katy's not here is she?" She opened the door.

"Hmm... I don't know. I didn't check downstairs, she must be in the studio right now." We both went down the stairs. I followed Courtney as we went straight into the kitchen.

It was quiet, no one was in the living room so Katy must've left. She should've at least told me that she's leaving or left a note. I decided to call her but I was making second thoughts of not calling because I might disturb her.

"Hally, this is for you." Courtney handed me a piece of paper.

"Where did you get this?" I asked her.
