{Part 2 Ace's Nightmare}

Title: Nightmare

Anime: Final Fantasy Type-0

A/N: Just in case you're confused, this is like the first once except this is what if Ace had a dream about you dying? (Sorry I know it looks really confusing) This was a really good idea given to me by the requester~ What would happen if Ace had a nightmare about you dying? Here it is!

Ace watched in horror as his girlfriend's blood painted itself all over him. He couldn't believe that he wasn't strong enough. Strong enough to save the one thing that he loved more than anything else. At that moment, everything that he was and everything that he worked for, came crumbling down before him.

Ace woke up in a cold sweat. Panting heavily and darting his eyes around to see if what he had just witnessed had actually happened or not. Ace thought it was extremely weird that he would occur something as childish as a nightmare but something so serious like that caught him completely of guard.

He swung his legs over the side of his bed and put his elbows on his knees, holding his golden locks in his hands. The though of you dying had made him a little less sane, and at that moment he had to make sure you were okay.

Quietly slipping out of his room, he walked down the corridor and finally stood right outside your room. He had a mental battle with himself at that moment. Would you think he was a weak boy who couldn't cope with a little nightmare? Or would you smile and tell him that it was alright and that you would never die on him like that? Even Ace couldn't contradict the future. So, Ace decided that it was all or nothing, and knocked on your door.

With tired eyes, you opened the door quietly but as soon as you seen the culprit your eyes widened. Never in your whole timeline of dating has Ace looked like this before. His hair was out of place, his eyes looked like they were about to have salty tears spewing out of them at any moment, it really was a big shocker. You said in confusion,

"A-ace..what are yo-" Before you could continue, you felt a pair of familiar arms wrap themselves around you. You smiled in content and leaded you two into your room, swiftly closing the door behind you. Ace, still hugging you, mumbled into the crook of your neck,

"Don't laugh at me when I say this..even I can't believe it happened..but..I had a..nightmare." Your eyes widened slightly and you pulled away to look into his. He had a small tint of pink claiming his cheeks. You smiled and got into bed, making him lay right on top of you with his head right about your heart. You pulled the covers over him and whispered,

"Tell me everything. I won't judge." He nodded and put his arms around you once again.

"I had a dream..that well..I wasn't strong enough to save you and you ended up dying right in front of me. (Y/N) it keeps replaying in my mind and I just-" "Look at me."

"What?"

"I said, look at me." He looked up at you, and you gave him a loving kiss on the lips.

"Listen Ace, you and I both know you're one of the strongest people in the world. I know that no matter what you'll protect me. Besides, I wouldn't leave you alone like that. I love you too much to die so soon. You know you can't get rid of me that easily." You giggled and he gave a slight chuckle. He replied,

"Thank you (Y/N). I don't know what I would do without you. I really do love you." You nodded and kissed his forehead, stroking his hair softly. You said,

"I love you too."
