CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

Jay's POV

I was finally out of there. And I didn't want to go back. Unfortunately, I would have to. I needed answers. Badly. There was only one person who would answer my questions. Right now, he was being held hostage in the place I had just escaped from. Which means, I'll be going back.

We entered Rob's hotel room. I assumed this was where I'd be staying as well. There were two beds, after all. Chloe's room had two beds as well, but I wasn't really to the room-sharing point with her. No, that would just be awkward.

Rob turned on his laptop, and started tapping away. He turned the screen to me. It was an email someone had sent to someone. I didn't get it. They, him, you. Who the heck were they talking about? I gave Rob a confused look.

He showed me a piece of paper. It had translations to who it was talking about. My name was on it several times. So were the guys in black. It was signed, Michael.

"Wait, Michael? Wasn't that your father's name?" I asked.

This was making no sense whatsoever. Now I had even more questions.

"Yeah. We figured out he was protecting you. Obviously, you're important here. Why, we don't know. Also, it seems as if the guy he sent the letter to cared a lot for you as well."

"Huh?"

Rob rolled his eyes. He pulled up something new on his computer.

I read everything he pulled up. More and more information came. The FFO and WIO came at my face. It seemed so unrealistic. A secret organization that wanted to take over the world? Definitely fiction stuff. No way this was real.

"Okay, so when are y'all going to burst out laughing?"

This had to be a joke. Chloe looked at me with a concerned expression.

"Jay, this is real. I know, it sounds like a bunch of bullcrap, but its not. It is true," she said.

I nodded, accepting the fact.

"So, basically, what you're telling me is that Rob's dad was part of the FFO. He promised to protect me, for reason unknown. The guy he wrote the letter to was the leader. The WIO wanted both of us. We don't know what happened after that."

Rob nodded, impressed.

"Pretty much."

"And we need answers to be able to figure everything out?"

"Right," he said slowly, not catching on.

"I think I know someone who can tell us some information."

Chloe's POV

His dad had answers. Why hadn't I thought of that before? It was a simple solution.

We just needed to figure out how we were going to get to him. Walking right in would be fine, except for the fact that jay was with us. He would catch attention immediately.

The good thing was, we had time. It wasn't like there was a deadline to have all the information. We did want it as soon as possible, however.  But, there wasn't a rush.

It looked like Jay needed a rest, anyways. Just some time to act like nothing was out of the ordinary. To be normal for a little while. Maybe we could do some stuff together. If only Rob weren't here.

"Do you guys want to go to lunch?" I asked.

"Sure," Jay said.

"Yeah!" Rob put in.

We went to a restaurant and sat down. We had finished ordering, and were waiting for our food.

"There's something about that guy Rob's dad was writing to," Jay began. "He's the leader, right? So then, why does he care so much about me?"

I should've known Jay wouldn't stop thinking about this stuff. It's just one of his things. He couldn't just rest with what he knew. No, he wanted to solve all the problems.

"I don't know. Your dad probably does, though," I said.

I noticed a man from one of the tables staring at us. I shook it off, maybe he didn't realize what he was doing. I looked back a few seconds later, just to make sure. He was gone. I looked around to see if he was still in the room.

I almost jumped out of my seat when I saw him standing by our table. He pointed at Jay.

"I know you."
