|I vowed I will always be yours - if we survive this great war|

...

Wendy was nursing a very bad hungover inside her coffee shop when the door busts open and it was Jennie

"Remind me to never--" She didn't get to finish what she wanted to say

"Jisoo didn't come to work" Jennie says

"I guess her date turned out well" Wendy shrugs

"And their neighbor called - she heard ruckus inside the house and Jisoo came out a few minutes later looking distraught"

That made Wendy sit up, "Their neighbors?"

"Yeah, Jisoo went there"

"Where are we on the scale panic?"

"Definitely 10, I've been calling all day but she's not picking up"

"Call Lisa - tell her to contact Joy"

.

Chaeyoung threw her sister out of her apartment the moment she finished watching the contents of the CD she left herself. She spent all night crying and staring at the ceiling.

And she's spending all morning looking at the pictures inside the black box - pictures of the person she only knew as the cute girl that caught her attention, pictures of her kissing that stranger.

Her phone lights up with another message from her sister, "I'll tell you everything, please call me"

When her thoughts became unbearable she decided to take a walk - she walks until she doesn't realize she reached the coffee house when she first met Jisoo - well, technically it's not the first time she met her. Ugh this whole thing is driving her crazy.

She enters the cafe and she was greeted with the view of Jisoo being ambushed with questions from 4 people, one she recognized as the owner and the other as...

"Lisa?"

They all looked at her with wide eyes except Jisoo - Chaeyoung couldn't read the expression in her face.

"Chae" Lisa says being the first one to move and hug her

She wanted to ask how she knew them but it was clear to Chaeyoung how

"Ah you proably know them from before" She says to Lisa

"To be fair you knew them as well"

Jisoo stood up grabbing the paper bag on the table and faced her

"Can we talk?"

"Sure"

They left together and agreed to stop in a nearby park to talk.

...

"What  just happened?" Jennie asks her eyes still fixed on the spot where Chaeyoung was standing

"Are we supposed to allow that to happen?" Sehun asks pointing at the door

"Well they already left what else can we do"

.

.

.

"Who's fault was it?" Chaeyoung asks

"Hmm?"

"Why we broke up - who did something stupid"

"Pretty sure we both did"

Chaeyoung nods in understanding then silence

"And we both went straigh to removing our memories"

"Yep, we were very stupid" Jisoo says

"Right?" Chaeyoung agrees, "Its like - does therapy not exist before?" She exasperated

They both share a chuckle

"It's weird right?" Chaeyoung asks

"Yeah, it is weird"

"Did you ever wanna get your memories back?"

"Memories of you - you mean?" Jisoo looks at the small kids playing on the park, "Not really, I knew there was a reason I had them removed although I felt like something was missing"

"Yeah, a feeling on the back of your brain that you want to scratch but can't"

"Exactly" Jisoo chuckles again, it was ironic that the person she erased from her life was the only person in the world that can understand her feelings

"Do you want your memories back?" Jisoo asks

"No - I mean at first, yes because I thought I was in a car accident and the accident part was the only reason I wanted it back but when I found out that it was all my decision I didn't want them back"

"It's still definitely weird seeing the photos and the smiles and not remembering a single thing about it" Chaeyoung adds quickly

"Imagine if we didn't find out about our history and continued our date" Jisoo sips her coffee

"Would've been a better ending, right?"

"Yeah, definitely"

There was another beat of silence before Jisoo turns to Chaeyoung and held out her hand

"Hi, I'm Jisoo Kim"

Chaeyoung looks at her for a moment before grabbing her hand and shaking it

"Chaeyoung Park"

They don't let go for a while but then they do

.

.

.

"Do you wanna have dinner with me later?" Jisoo asks

"I would love to"

...

Jisoo takes Chaeyoung to a high end restaurant where she definitely felt like an idol.

It takes a while to get used to their history - they weren't denying it - oh no, they're not.

They just moved on and accepted that part of the story was done, it was already bound and shipped off. It was the past and this was the present and they choose to live in it.

They choose each other, to work on the present - to breath and love in the present.

There's forgiveness and a promise of a better tomorrow.
There was no certainty that this would last or that it wouldn't end like it did the first time but it was a chance not to be wasted.

Years later though, Chaeyoung would receive a ring and it gave her the same feeling of familiarity.
