I won't last a day without you // Carpenters
--

Jisoo Kim have worked her ass of since day 1 - growing up in foster care and never being adopted out of the system hardened her to the core

She worked for money and she doesn't need to - her wife is the biggest and best music producer the world has seen but as they say old habits die hard

Don't get her wrong, she's successful and have more money than she needs but she loves her work although sometimes managing a multinational conglomerate is proving to be a headache. There are days she'd come home and pass out asleep on the couch and just magically be on the bed in her pajamas

Though the thought of Chaeyoung carrying her to bed and changing her clothes is hot - the headache wasn't a joke.

First it was just tiredness, shoulder and back pains, she would go home complaining about work to her wife and Chaeyoung would give her a shoulder massage as they talk about their day

Then headaches were thrown in the mix, Jisoo was warned not to take too many ibuprofen

Now its migraines and it's killing her. The first day it happens she couldn't just shrugged it off  like she does with her headaches. The pain was too much that she doesn't trust herself to drive or even close the blinds of her office

"Yeji!" She calls out, she heard a door open but she wasn't sure since her eyes are screwed shut

"Yes?"

"Can you please close the blinds and clear my whole schedule"

Foot steps echo around her office and it adds to the pain on her head that she couldn't help but grimace

"Do you need me to call anyone?" Yeji asks softly, probably sensing she's having a migraine

Jisoo could've asked for Chaeyoung but she remembers her wife has a meeting with a new artist so she shakes her head no

"Nope, just don't bother me for a while" she grits out and laid back on her reclining chair

The door closes and pain doesn't go away for a while

...

The door opens again and her headache is still there so without opening her eyes she said, "Yeji, shut the damn door and tell whoever it is that I'll talk to them later"

There was no response but the pain won't let her open her eyes - that is until she feels hands massaging her head

She bolts up right and groans when the migraine and dizziness hits again

"Ugh" Jisoo cracks an eye open and Chaeyoung is smiling softly at her, brown eyes that screamed concern

"Let's go home? Hmm"

"Sounds good, help me walk"

Her wife's arm is around her waist and the other holding her bag, "I'll lecture you once the migraine is gone, capiche?"

Jisoo doesn't respond instead she opens her eyes and the bright lights stabbed her head but she needed her sight so she can kiss her wife

"I love you too"

"I'm not kidding, Jisoo Kim"

"Take me home"

...

Jisoo falls asleep in her work clothes with Chaeyoung cuddling her and she wakes up - the pain in her head is gone but her wife's arms are still wrapped around her

"Hmm, this feels nice" she mumbles, still sleepy

"Feeling better?"

"Very - I'm sensing the lecture coming up"

"Jisoo, you can't overwork yourself all the time"

"Why? Tired of taking care of me?" She jokes and Chaeyoung chuckles

"Never, I swore to never get tired remember?"

"Vividly"

"So...?"

Jisoo sighs, Chaeyoung didn't have to voice it out and she knows her wife is probably right

"I promise I won't overwork myself anymore"

"You are an amazing person, you don't need to prove yourself to anyone else" Chaeyoung reminds her

"I know" Jisoo sighs, "I don't know what I'd do without you"

The truth is as much as Chaeyoung thinks Jisoo can survive very well without her - she's wrong. All her life she's this independent orphan who became a successful and then her wife comes barging in her life and Jisoo forgets how to breath without her

"I love you" Chaeyoung says, her arms tightening around Jisoo's waist

"I love you too" she replies, "Wouldn't last a day without you, chipmunk"

...

"Before I forget, how did your meeting go? Did Yeji call you in the middle of it?"

"She did, it went well - I guess. I don't like the new artist so I'm not gonna take it"

"So...you're basically on vacation?"

"Yeah - sure"

"Great! I'll take a sick leave and we'll fly off somewhere"

"Wouldn't love nothing more, Love"
