Jisoo doesn't know where her life begin to drift off the tracks but it did and now she's picking up the pieces of her broken train.
"You're here again? aren't you gonna go broke?" The bartender from the bar she frequents says as she pours Jisoo a glass of top shelf whiskey
Jisoo knew it was a joke, everyone knew who she was - is and what she represents or where she came from.
The fact is that Jisoo came from one of the most prominent family in Korea and that she means power and money and intelligence but that was beside the point why the next chairman of the biggest conglomerate Asia is downing a whole bottle of whiskey for the 3rd time this week
Jisoo kept drinking anyways, it's not like she can please her parents anymore than she does besides she deserved this in the least and she needed it
"So...what? Are you trying to drown yourself in alcohol" Lisa says, Jisoo looks at her and falters
"Since when did you wear anything formal?" Jisoo asks, referring to the three piece suit her best friend is wearing
"I was in a meeting" Lisa explains as she pours herself a glass, "It doesn't mean that I'm caught in a crossfire I can't fulfill my maid of honor duties"
Jisoo heaved a deep breath, she knew where this is going and she doesn't like it one bit. "What's the meeting about?" But it doesn't make her any less curious
"Wedding's in two months and I saw your invitation"
"Well you can tell Chaeyoung she can rip that apart"
"Jisoo..."
"Lisa? shut up" Jisoo paused to see if her bestfriend will interrupt, "you can tell everyone they can come and I won't even be angry in the slightest - what Chaeyoung and I have that was long gone but it doesn't change the fact that I was blindsided" Jisoo says downing her drink in one go
"I'm tired, for fighting and doing everything when the person I'm fighting for left at the first sight of the problem and if you think for one second I'm ready to bury that you're gonna need more than two months to prepare" she stands up and pats Lisa on the shoulder
"I know Jennie is giving you such a hard time but tell my cousin to stop being so overprotective towards me - I can handle myself"
"Jisoo..."
"No, Lisa"

Jisoo practically buried herself in work and she's not even gonna deny that Chaeyoung's wedding is affecting her - because clearly it is. Days and weeks passed and as much as she doesn't want to think about it her brain is automatically (irritatingly) counts the days till Chaeyoung's wedding
"Ms. Kim you have a meeting with the board" her secretary knocks her off her reverie and she's thankful
"Yeah, I'll be there" She closes her laptop and fixed her suit, "And oh, have the Park and Park draft the merger with Crimson Tech"
"Attorney Chaeyoung is on leave so I'll just have her brother do it"
Jisoo falters for a while after hearing Chaeyoung's name for the first time in a while from outside her head, "Yeah, sure. Whatever works"
Once she entered the conference room she knew something was wrong, her grandmother is set to retire and instead of leaving her conglomerate to her daughter she opted to leaving it to Jisoo.
"What's the agenda for today's meeting?" she asks as she sits down and 15 people who are twice her age looked at her in worry
"Jisoo, you're here 7 days a week and you don't even take breaks when you're working" one of the 15 says
