Doctor Chaeyoung Park had slammed the break room door with more force neccessary, she just got out of a 4 hour emergency surgery that she was not supposed to handle
"Whoa - what's up?" Lisa Manoban, another doctor in the same hospital
"Stupid Lee Soo Man, thinking he can just order me around!" Chaeyoung almost growls, "I was supposed to be home 4 hours ago"
Lisa who doesn't seemed fazed with the blonde's anger, laughed "why the rush? It's not like you have a boyfriend waiting at home"
The glare Chaeyoung throws her way is fatal, "I'm gay" she stated as a matter of fact, "And I don't need to have someone to go home to"
"Whatever dude, book an uber you looked like you're gonna pass out in exhaustion after you come down from your rage" Lisa says before grabbing an apple and leaving
The uber app says her car is a black BMW outside of her hospital so she changes out of her scrubs and went outside the hospital avoiding anyone that might delay her plans o going home

Outside the huge hospital is the daughter of the director who just dropped her mom off and was about to head home herself but before she could speed off, A beautiful stranger with blonde hair and tired eyes climbed inside her backseat and sighed loudly
"Please take the swiftest road to my address" the stranger said without much of a glance to Jisoo, who looked at her strangely
It dawned on her that the blonde might have mistaken her as an uber given that her car is quite common
"Excuse me, miss? I think you got in the wrong-" before Jisoo could finish her sentence someone was tapping on her passenger window rapidly
Chaeyoung who realized that the car wasn't moving opened her eyes, ready to lash out but her eyes met gorgeous brown ones that stared at her in a mixture of confusion, irritation and pleasant surprise.
The doctor might be lacking a day worth of sleep but her senses are very much awake and she knows she is staring at the hospital director's daughter
"Uh..." she was unable to form words when she's been overworked and tired and someone as gorgeous at the person in front of her is staring at her like that
Another succession of rapid taps on the window and Jisoo rolls down the window, a doctor wearing a mask and goggles stood there
"Doctor Park, the patient you operated on is positive for diphtheria - you need to be in quarantine as well as you Ms. Kim"
"What?" Jisoo exclaims
"Why? When I entered the OR the guy is dead asleep" Chaeyoung counters
"Yes but one of the doctors was exposed as well as the rest of the operating team and the people they passed by - including Ms. Kim"
The color on Jisoo's face drained and Chaeyoung noticed it, "Don't worry about, it's not confirmed yet that you have this is just for precaution and in the case that you do have it a couple of penicillin will do the trick" she explains
"Mask?" She asks the other doctor
Jisoo still looking shocked, this is turning out to be the worse night
...
After taking a series of tests Jisoo and Chaeyoung are sent to a room where they are quarantined with the rest of the operating team
Unlike Jisoo the rest of the team is used to protocols like this - and Chaeyoung feels a little bad about involving the director's daughter in this, but only a little bit - the big bit is still revolving around how she's overworked and lacked sleep
2 hours later and Chaeyoung have effectively fallen asleep sitting down on a chair and Jisoo is unabashedly staring at her
The room was quiet, everyone felt awkward and intimidated being in the same room as their boss' daughter and Jisoo doesn't exactly possess an approachable look
"Who is she?" She asked one of the doctors,
"W-what?"
"Her" Jisoo points at the blonde doctor who barged into her life
"Oh, that's Doctor Park. She's a general surgeon, a great one"
"Hmm" Jisoo just hums, she didn't exactly understand how doctors run their lives, she's a businesswoman - saving lives is not her thing but this particular doctor had piqued her curiosity so bad that she didn't even mind the quarantine

.
"Good news, you all tested negative for the virus but please drink vitamins and eat healthy" A doctor says to the group
Chaeyoung was long awake and boy she was pissed. Her shift starts in a few hours and she's not even home yet nor has she eaten anything
"Eating healthy and drinking vitamins would've trumped the whole idea of being healthy if you overwork us to death" Chaeyoung snaps and the operating team looks at her with wide eyes
Lee Soo Man, the chief of surgery looks taken aback, "I beg to differ"
"Then beg" Chaeyoung says and gathered her things, "and also don't bother with waiting to torture for my next shift - I quit" she shoves the man out of the way and walks out of the room
The other doctor's are all too stunned to speak and the chief of surgery is embarrassed to the director's daughter
"I'm sorry for that Ms. Kim-"
"-save it" Jisoo cuts him off, her eyes trailing the blonde doctor that just left. "I don't have the power to fire but if I were you I'd more efficient in doing my job" she says and jogs to follow the blonde doctor
Chaeyoung is tapping her foot in anxiety and irritation, her uber is taking too long and it just dawned on her that she has no job
She was about to cancel her uber and flag down a taxi when a black BMW appeared in front of her, passenger window rolling down and Jisoo Kim is grinning at her
"Need a ride? I'll take the swiftest way to your address" Jisoo says and Chaeyoung did end up canceling her uber
In fact, she deletes the app.

"I don't know if I can say this but I'm glad you quit - I don't think my mom would've appreciate it if I asked out one of her employees"
Chaeyoung laughs wholeheartedly, her tiredness still there but the irritation long gone, "your mom had just lost her best surgeon"
In the end Chaeyoung did end up back at the hospital - she's the chief of surgery and she doesn't get picked up by a BMW anymore - well, not all the time.
Sometimes she gets picked up by a minivan, although same driver there's an extra passenger in the back.

A/N: writing this because I need some stress relief, I badly want to curse at school rn but we're not gonna do that.
