- We can't and Jisoo Kim learned that the hard way.
All her life she was sure that her place was the spot next to Chaeyoung, her bestfriend - her everything.
The love of her life.
For the longest time in her life she had one constant and it's Chaeyoung. Every crack in her life was filled with her chipmunk face and her blonde her and her constant need of hugs.
It wasn't that they weren't made for each other - they just didn't have the time to figure it out.

"So, I'll see you later?" Jisoo asks as Chaeyoung preps for work. The lightness in their steps and the easy happiness in their face was the result of their newly found romance
"Yes, You will definitely see me later" Chaeyoung smiles at her before bending down to kiss her in the forehead and in the lips before walking out
"I love you" Jisoo calls out after Chaeyoung disappears but the blonde's head popped back inside the room, "I love you too" she replies and leaves with a smile
The love she felt for Chaeyoung was intense, she was in a state of total euphoria everytime the girl was in her mind (which was always), but then again she have always loved Chaeyoung - they were the best of friends before they decided they should stop denying the obvious and just date.
The transition from being best friends to lovers weren't as hard as they thought it would - the easy comfort was already there, there was an easy silence between them and it was always there. It's been 6 months but it felt like years
Jisoo wonders why did they wait so long for this to happen - she was the happiest she's been her entire life.
At this point in their relationship she had no doubt that Chaeyoung would not be part of her life, even if their relationship doesn't work out - she knows - oh how she knows that it will.
Shaking of the megawatt smile in her face, She starts prepping for work.

"God, I hate this" Jisoo groaned in her office cubicle
"Lighten up, Kim" Lisa Manoban says, "Just think of your girlfriend and how she'll be home later waiting for you - that's how I get by" The thai says without even looking at her
"You're right" she agrees, "I'll just think of Beer, Chicken and Chaeyoung - ah the perfect night"
...
"Don't you get tired of hanging out with the same person everyday?" Yeri, one of her coworkers asks - referring to hers and Chaeyoung's relationship. "You guys have known each other since you were kids - like don't you get tired of the same old thing?"
Jisoo just laughs, "No, and I won't ever be tired of doing the the same old thing every single day"
Lisa nods to agree, "It's really just the person - I could be doing work with Jennie and I wouldn't mind if Chaerin drops a 50 page report in my desk"
...
"Ugh! fucking finally" Jisoo groans - it was time to go home and she wanted to go to Chaeyoung's arms as soon as possible
"Kim! let's go" Lisa calls her
"I'm coming!" She shouts back
Before the two could board their own cars Jisoo's phone rang -
"It's Chaeyoung - give me a minute" she says to Lisa before swiping to answer the call
"Hello? I'm on my way home" Jisoo says
"Hello, Miss Kim?" - that wasn't Chaeyoung
"Who am I speaking to?"
"This is St. Augustine Hospital - you've been listed as Miss Park's emergency contact. She's been in an accident, please come as soon as possible or contact immediate family"

It's been a year now,
I think I figured out how - to think about you

Jisoo Kim stood in front of a certain grave - in her hand are pink roses, her favorite.
"I know I said I'd be moving forward" Jisoo exhales as she tries to fight the tears springing in her eyes, "but everytime I think of you I feel like my heart's been ripped out my chest"
One tear drops and a lot followed
"I miss you so much it hurts to even think about it"
Once the tears start to subside Jisoo sits next to the grave and she lays down the flowers gently on top of it.
"I'll see you later" she smiles sadly at the grave
A/N: I was torn between killing Chaeyoung or make her end up with another person HAHAHHAHAH sorry for sudden sad one shots - my heart hurts and I want to release the pain so here you go.
