"Okay cuphead..are you ready?" Mugs asked
"Of course I'm ready I've been waiting to get my powers back!"
Mugs nodded and lifted up the potion he split in too.
"Okay on 3...."

We both poured the potion in our heads..nothing happened..
"Mugs?"
"It's supposed to have worked! I don't understand it-"
We both suddenly perked up our straws shooting up straight.. I felt powerful..
"Fuck yeah.."
I pulled back my sleeve and aimed a charge..the yellow glow that replicated that of a sparkler 🎇 grew before I let it fire hitting the wall.
"Well we have our powers back now and since we did it without the devil knowing he won't be able to get an ounce to fix his wings" mugman stated
"I don't give a fuck about the devil..I'm going to go practise my aim in the woods.." i replied
"What are you practising for we already know how to use our powers" mugman replied
"I know but we haven't used them in ages we're rusty and i need to be at my best if I'm going to save my soulmate and kill the assholes that took her from me..I'll catch you later" i replied
"Cuphead you can't kill them no matter how angry you are! You- we don't even know where they are we still need to find out" mugman replied
Following me to the door when I opened it Hilda was there..
"Cuphead mugman how did you go?" Hilda asked
I took a deep inhale..and exhale..
"Why don't you and Hilda interrogate daisy while I destroy some trees" i replied trying to remain calm..
"Cuphead please just-"
"What?"
I moved passed Hilda.
"Cuphead I know how you feel-"
"No you don't! The one person who made me believe in love who made me cuphead a romantic! Is gone! my soulmate is gone! The one person I love more then gambling more then fucking whiskey for God's sake! Is gone! You don't have a soulmate so don't you dare say you know how it feels! I don't know if she's hurt or even dead! And I can't keep waiting! I can't keep doing nothing! I can't! I-i cant-i-"
My eyes welled up as I spoke..
"Cuphead..your right....I don't know how you feel..but I want to help you I really want to help you I'm sorry I didn't help you before when I said I would I am but I'm here now and I'm not going anywhere this time" mugman replied
"Help me by letting me go and let off some steam" i replied
Mugman thought about it but nodded.
"Alright but just..becareful..please.." he replied I nodded.
"I will"
"What am I going to do?" Hilda asked
"Your going to help me try and pry where Y/N and Cagney are from daisy he has to know the way back we just got to get it out of him" mugman replied as I walked off..
I walked out of the apartment complex and into the street..I put my hands in the pockets of my coat and kicked rocks that I found..walking past other creatures and objects and into the woods on the otherside of the isles.. a long walk.. one I needed to clear my thoughts..
When I got to the woods I began to practise with every form of bullets I had.
Peashooter.
Chaser.
Charge.
Spread.
You name it I used it I even used the whetstone to turn my broken straw into an axe and threw it at a tree..
I retrieved it but ended up thinking of my girlfriend..
I was not a romantic person yet she unlocked my heart..she made me one..
I punched the tree as I cried out.
"Ahhhh!!"
I let my tears fall down my face and onto the grass underneath my shoes.
"Ehh heh heh~"
I put a hand to my chest and clutched my clothes my heart ached more and more the longer we were apart..I need something anything now..I need to get rid of this pain..but nothing worked..nothing healed me from this agony caused by seperation from the one I loved..
I turned my back to the tree and slid down it until I sat down..
I leant my head back on the tree as my tears fell more.
I was nearly chocking on my tears....

So I lied to mugs it was nothing new..
I just needed time alone to sulk my heart out..
I didn't know how long it had been an hour? Hours? It must've been a long time because while I was still sulking i heard..
"Cuphead?"
I perked up and wiped my tears away quickly before standing up and turning to mugman..it was just him..
"Mugs-what?"
"Cuphead are you okay?..have you been crying?" Mugman worriedly asked
"What? Pff no-no Wheres Hilda?" I asked
"With daisy..cups..we got him to tell us where they are he's going to lead us to them.." mugman replied
My whole body felt hope..
"Really?"
"Really"
"Then let's go! Let's go rescue her!"
I was quick to move in the direction of home and mugs quickly followed and caught up to by my side.
"Cuphead..you have been crying your eyes are teary what's wrong? Did you hurt yourself?" Mugman worriedly asked
"No no I just-ever since she's been gone..my heart has been hurting..and aching so so much..nothing has been able to get rid of the pain not even whiskey..the longer we've been separated the worse the pains gotten I just-its getting hard to cope with" i honestly replied
"I'm so sorry cuphead" mugman replied he put a hand on my shoulder..tears fell again and I stopped walking..
"Cuphead? Are you?-wow-"
I hugged him..I needed a hug..badly..
He hugged back without hesitation and rubbed my back.
"Cuphead it's going to be okay we're going to find her we're going to save her" he declared as I sulked in his clothes and satchel..
"Your alright cuphead it's going to be alright" he comforted me and I gripped his clothes..
"I want her homee~ m-mugs I want her homee~"
"Aww cups"
Mugman hugged me tighter and we stayed in this embrace for a while before I no longer needed a hug.
I moved away gently.
"Ehm i-uh let's go save Y/N and Cagney!"
Mugman playfully rolled his eyes at my embarrassment.
"You know your aloud to seek comfort from me cups you don't have to be embarrassed" he declared..
"I..I know I'm just worried about her the sooner we save her the sooner she's safe" i replied
Mugman nodded.
"Well luckily for you daisys going to lead us straight to them" mugman replied I nodded.
"Let's find these guys and wallop their asses!"
Mugman grinned and nodded in agreement..
"Yes let's!"
We fist bumped and continued on our way back to the apartment where Hilda had daisy in her arms on the couch.
"Let's find my soulmate"
