Authors pov:
Kiara was going towards Rafael's room. She was about to open the door , but she heard a loud scream , making her stop.
She turned towards the direction from where the voice came , to see a pregnant woman , lying on the ground .
It looked like she is in her third trimester.
She ran towards her .
"Mam , are you alright?" Kiara asked , helping her getting up.
"My-my baby"
"It will be fine mam." Kiara said and made her lie on the stretcher the nurses brought.
"Is any gynaecologist available ?" Kiara asked.
"She needs immediate care."
"Let me just check" one of the nurse said .
The other nurses and Kiara took the lady to the ward.
"Mam , no doctor is available at the moment." The nurse said.
"What do you mean?"
"Mam, the senior doctors are gone to attend an important seminar and the other doctors are already in the surgeries." The nurse said making
"And I'm afraid to say that , all the four operation theatres are already in use" the nurse added.
"Ahhhhh-
"Mam calm down. I'll see what I can do" Kiara said panicking.
"Please, my baby"
" mam , you and your baby , both of you will be fine. I promise" Kiara said .
And started checking the lady.
"Mam , are you in your 8 month , by any chance.?" Kiara Asked. While checking her up.
"Yes-ahhhh"
The lady replied .
"Nurse prepare for her delivery, I'll perform it , she fell on her stomach. We can't take any risk"Kiara said making every one shock.
"Mam-how can you-"
"I'm a doctor, dr.kiara Malhotra." Kiara said .
And the nurse nodded her head vigorously .
"Thank you -ahhh" the lady said , and Kiara immediately shook her head.
"Check her bp" Kiara said to the nurse and went to wear the gown .
Kiara was nervous as hell , she had a lot in her plate already. She didn't even had a proper sleep.
But this what she signed up for.
It's her duty.
She have seen enough deliveries , she can perform one , she knew she had just seen and studied but never performed one , but every thing has a first time right.
"You can do it Kia" Kiara muttered closing her eyes.
"Ahhhh-" the lady shouted making Kiara quicken .
She went and stood infront of the lady.
"Mam , we are going for a normal delivery. You are contracted enough. So we can go for normal" Kiara said.
"Mam , her bp is normal." The nurse said making Kiara nod
"Mam - on my count of three , push" Kiara said and the lady nodded.
"1,2,3"
"Ahhhhhh"
"One more time"
"1,2,3"
"Ahhkkkkkk, I can't" the lady cried.
"Mam , you have to do it , for your baby." Kiara said.
"Okay 1,2,3"
"Ahhhhhhhhh ,"
"Mam I can see the head. One last time" Kiara said .
"1 , 2 , 3"
