EXT. ORCHARD – DAY
HR and Gwi walk through an orchard with mixed fruit trees. The sun shines brightly around the trees. Gwi takes some fruit from a tree and shares it with HR. They find a nearby spring and drink the water, splashing each other and laughing. HR goes to climb a tree, but as she does Tae who sits hiding in another tree throws a piece of fruit near her, laughing, surprising her.
TAE
(calls out to Gwi)
When will you two be married?
INT. HR'S ROOM – NIGHT
HR awakes and heartache overtakes her. She curls into a ball on her mattress and cries.
HYE-RYUNG
You keep coming and disappearing again. I miss you so much. Why don't you come every night?
(struggles to breathe around crying)
