Ava Halstead just came back from 2 years as a Marine and is going to firehouse 51 on squad 3 but isn't on the best terms with her brothers because of them not wanting her to be a Marine but she didn't care, she's a lot more like her twin brother Jay...
You go to shift early Because you and squad we're going back to the school to talk to some students
Severide and Cruz go in and you , Capp and Tony stay in squad listening out for any calls
After may 15 minutes they come back saying that none of the students said anything about the missing part then you guys drive back to the firehouse
You go in to the kitchen and have some breakfast then you sit out at the squad table on your phone
The rest of the day you guys don't get any calls and you barely see severide or anyone else because they were all doing something
Severide was working on the plane engine all day with chief and Stella so you basically do some reading and you check all the tools in squad
At the end of the day severide finds a student that stole the piece of the plane but he tells the fire officer that he mixed it up with one of our tools, not wanting the boy to get in trouble
You go home after shift and you just go to bed
You walk in next shift and go to the locker room and just about get your things in there before you guys get a call and leave quickly
You guys get there to see it's a builders site with a crane up in the air with a man stuck up there
You normally go up and do the rope rescue but severide comes over to you
" I know you normally do these but I think im going to give gallo a try at it" he says and you were a bit confused but of course nod
Both severide and gallo go up after you and squad help them gear up
You just stand there because severide never told you to do anything then the next thing gallo goes off the crane to go get the man then you hear Emma make a comment about it but you weren't really listening
You let out a breath of relief as you see him coming down
When he was done talking to severide and the medics, you go over to him
"Hey good job" you say and hug him " yeah thanks, that was crazy" he says and you smile then both squad and truck leave
You get back and gallo makes everyone lunch
You were going to sit with violet and Stella but you see Emma so you just wait then eat with gallo when he was done
After you go out to the squad table and decide you're going to book a date for you and gallo
You book a dinner and a surprise place to go after then go in to the firehouse again and to the kitchen where he was cleaning up some dishes
" hey" you say with a smile " I'm taking you out tonight, dress worm I'll pick u up at 6" you say and kiss his cheek before disappearing to the locker room because it was the end of shift
You get home home and shower then get dressed and dry your hair

You pick up gallo and drive to the small restaurant
" I can't remember the last time we have been on a proper date" he says as you guys walk in and you slightly nod " I know, we're also doing something else after this" you say with a small smile and he nods " can't wait" he says
You guys have a really nice time at dinner, you have fish and he gets chicken which was both really nice
You guys get out to the car and you start driving
" can I have a clue" he asks " ok, it's cold and icy" you say with a small smile keeping your eyes on the road "how late will we be out for" he say's seeing it was getting dark
" well we should be there any second, so it will probably be late when we get home" you say as you slowly start seeing some of the lights
You pull up to the ice rink which was all lit up in all colour lights
Gallos eyes light up as he sees it " I haven't been ice skating in years" he says as you park the car " yeah, I haven't been in years too" you say with a small smile turning to him and he gives you a kiss before looking out the window again " so we going to go ice skating" he says with an excited smile and you just nod as the both of you get out of the car and walk to get your skates
As you stand up you almost fall but catch yourself and Blake laughing " this was a bad idea" you say laughing then the both of you go on the ice
Gallo was of course really good right away and you had fallen maybe 3 times already
" you ok" he comes over and helps you up and you smile " yeah I'm fine" you give him a small kiss before skating away and you surprisingly didn't fall
He skated up and you look at him " did you see that" you say so proud of yourself and Blake slightly laughing " yeah yeah you're great now come on" he say's grabbing you hand and you both skate around
You both walk out to your car laughing about something random
" hey,you know I love you right" he says grading your hand gently and twirling you around " I love you too" you smile and kiss him " ok, come on" you say and grad his hand walking to the car
It was almost completely dark but you guys still find an ice cream place and end up getting some and eating it in the back of your truck
" today was fun but I'm so tired" you say, eating your ice cream while you rest your head on his shoulder
" can we just go back to my place and to sleep" you say after maybe 10 minutes " yeah sure, went me to drive" he says and you nod " thank you" you say and kiss his cheek happily " come on at least give me a proper kiss" he says and you smile before kissing him
You both go to your place and go straight to sleep after the long day
