You both walk in and he walks over to Ritter and you go to Stella and Brett " are you ok " Stella smiles and Hermann hands you a beer " yeah, I'm fine. I'll just go to the funeral and see his family and that's it " You say taking a sip from your beer
You walk over to capp, cruz and tony how were laughing about something " what's so funny " you ask and they all just look at you " what ??" you ask again confused " nothing " cruz says and you roll your eyes " you guys are so weird " you smile and you catch gallo looking at you but you just look away with a small smile
You and the squad had a great time not really seeing much of severide but you had a good time with the rest.
That night you go home and go to sleep soon after
You wake up the next morning early and go and get ready putting on plan clothes

You look at yourself in the mirror and see the light circles around your eyes from not sleeping, you sigh before looking for a bit of makeup then realising that you left it in your locker at work
You sigh again before going down stairs then driving to work
You get there not long after and walk straight to the lockers then change
You sit on the bench next to your locker and start putting on a small bit of makeup " hey, Ava " Ritter says as he walks in and you smile at him " hey" You say back and he starts puts things in his locker " why you putting makeup on " He asks " because I look like shit " you say putting on a bit of lip gloss on then putting it all back in your locker " no you don't " He says closing his looker and walking over to you " yeah because I have makeup on" You smile and close your locker then turn to him
" you look beautiful, now tell me what's wrong " He says sitting down and you sit next to him " no, I just didn't sleep that well last night, you know like with the news yesterday and everything " You smile lightly and he nods " just take care of yourself, Halstead " He smiles then gets up and walks out
You walk out and go to the kitchen to see everyone eating so you go, get a small plate and fill it with 2 slices of toast and an egg gallo had made that was a bit cold but you didn't care
You sit next to capp and tony as they talk about something, you go on you phone
After breakfast You go out and sit at the squad table on your own and end up falling asleep resting on your hands
You wake up to someone calling for you " Halstead " He says and you look up to see Casey
" Oh sorry, I just fell asleep. Oh god did we get a call " you say kinda panicked " oh no sorry, I didn't know you were asleep. Someone just wanted to see you " He says and you look down to see what time it is and see you slept for an hour and a after
You get up and fallow him in to the kitchen to see everyone in a circle
You walk in to the middle and see the boy you saved at the rope rescue a while back " Ava " He says and you go down and hug him " hey batman " you say and he laughs
You look up to see a woman and you put your hand out and she shacks it " Ava Halstead " you smile lightly " Claire Miller " she smiles " Noahs mom " she says nodding to the boy and you smile " well anyways I just wanted to meet all of you because of how much Noah talks about you guys" she pauses " Oh and thank you all and I would've come sooner but I've just been really busy " she smiles " Oh and thank you all again but we should really get going " she says and walks out and you all wave at then
You slitly smile before going over and making your self a coffee " are you ok" Casey walks over and you turn to him " yeah, I'm fine " You smile slightly and take a sip of your coffee " ok just I don't usually find you asleep sat at a table " He slightly smiles as he makes himself a coffee " yeah I'm sure just didn't sleep that well last night" you smile and he nods
Just as you were about to sit down You guys get a call
Truck 81, Engine 51, ambulance 61, squad 3 House fire

ou sigh then run out after Casey and go straight in to squad then Tony drives off as you look out the window
You guys get to the house and all jump out quickly to see a small 2 story house and a few cars out side with a neighbour looking panicked
Casey and severide walk over to her and you can hear her say something about a party so you walk over
" so what we doing " you ask and the two of them look at you
" we're looking through the first floor and truck will do the 2nd " severide says and you nod before running over and putting your mask on and going in the house first
You get in and look around, making sure to look under thing not to miss anything
As the others start coming in, you go to the kitchen and see a small darker mark on the wall then look around again to see a few of them that's when you realise someone started this fire on purpose
You sigh before looking around again " need a little help out here " severide says through his walkie-talkie and you start walk to him and see him with a man and a woman both maybe in they're 50s
" get her " He says and you slightly nod before taking her out then you take her to the paramedics
After you walk over to chief
" this fire was done on purpose" You pause " this was arson " you say lowly then you walk back to Brett and violet to get water
