You walk in to med for your last check up before your first day back at work

Gallo walks in with you because you guys we're going to go to shift together and it's was right before

Conner checks you out quickly " you're all good" he says and you look up at him
" so can I go back to work" you say and you nods " yes you can go back to work but you keep an eye on her" he say's pointing to gallo
" always do" he says giving you a small kiss and Conner laughs " alright you two, have a good day" he says as the two of you walk out "thanks Conner" you smile then you guys walk out

You both walk in to shift to see Capp and Tony first sitting at the squad table

" hey love birds" Capp says because gallos hand was wrapped around your shoulder " hey" you say and they both get up giving you a hug
" welcome back" they both say and you smile " thanks guys" you say then walk in to the kitchen

You say hi to everyone then have a little breakfast

Then something comes on the to mouch was watching but it catches severides eye

" is that chiefs car at that store" he say's pointing to it and it was a shop hostage situation " yeah I think so" you say then severide calls violet

" hey is chief there" he asks then violet says something you guys can't hear " ok we're on our way" severide then says and you all get up then leave to go to the store

You guys get there soon then chief starts talking to severide through the radio saying they are people stuck in the back of the store

You guys go back to the back of the store trying to find out how to get them out quietly

Severide goes up on an ladder before calling you up and asking for a rope bag

You go up quickly then the rest go up after with all you guys need

You guys are going in through a window up at the top then severide goes in with ropes slowly and quietly

He gets everyone out and you guys go to the front again soon bring some of them to the ambo

Then the shooter comes out with the gun alone but you all where behind the trucks before chief comes getting him on the floor and you all run up tell them not the shoot then they take him away

You all stay around for awhile and clean up a bit then you guys leave soon after

The rest of shift was really quiet and after shift you go home and watch a movie with Stella who came over after shift then she leaves after and you just go to sleep

You walk in to next shift and walk to the locker room to see Emma Jacobs, the new paramedic while Brett was with Casey

" hey" you say putting some things in your locker " hey, I don't think we officially meet" she says putting her hand out for you to shake
" Emma Jacob" she says and you shake her hand " Ava Halstead" you say with a small smile and she nods " you're dating gallo right" she says and you nod " yeah" you say
" aw he's a pretty boy isn't he" she says and you just look at her confused then you guys get a call and she runs off with you fallow close behind

You get out to squad and hop in and look as anbo drives away and you guys leave

You guys get there to see it's a big school building with a plane engine in one of the small classrooms out side which caused a fire to start

You guys get out and they're where kids running around scared

You, severide, Cruz, Stella, mason and some of Engine go in to the fire trying to find the kids which where in that classroom

You guys can't find away in because of the big plane engine but you and squad manage to go around it and after a few minutes of searching around you guys find maybe a dozen kids in a small classroom in the back

As you guys we're going to go out you noticed that there's no safe way out from where you were

" hey severide no way out" you yell then he says it over the radio chief says something over the radio then call you over

After maybe 2 minutes you guys hear a big crash then see the front wall had come down but it was a good way to get out so you all Guide everyone out the help the ones who couldn't walk out

When everyone's out you throw off you mask and severide hands you a water

" thanks" you mumble before drinking it

You all clean up and look around the fire before leaving back for the firehouse

When you guys get back you remember what Jacobs said to you and you we're going to talk to gallo about it but you see him walking off with mason who got the wall down and you could tell he was amazed by it so you just leave him be and you walk to the squad table sitting down

You walk in to the kitchen to see gallo and Jacobs talking so you go over and kiss gallos cheek hoping she'll leave which she does

" oh my god did you see that" you say and he looks at you confused " she is all over you" you say and he laughs " no shes not" he smiles making some sandwiches " yes she is, do you want to know what she said to me this morning" you say and he slightly nods
" she said , oh your with gallo aww he's so pretty" you say putting a voice on yourself and gallo slightly laughs

" I'm sure its nothing" he says giving you a small kiss " hey you go out to the squad table and I'll call you in for some food" he says and you slightly smile " ok" you say walking out to the squad table but on your way out you see severide and chief talking to what looks like a fire investigator or higher up

He then looks at you seeing you come out
" you at the plane engine fire" he asks and both severide and chief looks back as you nod
" you take anything" he says seriously and you shake your head again " not a thing" you say then he says something to chief that you can hear then he leaves

" what the hell was that" you say then they explain to you that people think that someone at 51 took a peace of the engine and you just nod and the both of them go inside

After shift you end up spending some time with jay and Will just watch movies and dinner at your house
