You walk in to the fire house first shift with out Casey

You walk in to the kitchen and see everyone from engine gone " did they get a call already" you ask gallo and Ritter " yeah, they just went out" he says and you check the fridge for something to eat " hey want some of this" gallo asks you and as soon as you see the bacon on his plate your stomach turns " yeah no thanks, unless your trying to make me sick" you say and they look at each other but don't say anything " you know what I'm just going to sit at the squad table" you say walking off

You few minutes later severide walks over with a girl with short black hair

" hey can your or Cruz take over squad intil chief gets me a replacement for a few days, I'm going with fire investigation" he says and you nod " yeah sure I'll talk to Cruz about it" you say and he nods " thanks Av" he says the nickname only 4 people call you ( gallo, jay, will, you dad) " Av?" You ask " yeah sorry most be spending to much time with jay" he says but you shake you head " no it's fine, I love the nick name" you smile before he leaves saying bye

In the morning announcements chief says that every firehouse has gone off line do to hackers so basically you won't get any calls for emergencies

Mouch and Herman are bossing both Ritter and gallo around showing them what to do with no internet

You get the job of going around and making sure everyone else is doing what they're supposed to which you were happy about

You walk around and cover anyone who needs a bath room break and this girl calls saying she might have caught in artery and that she was bleeding but no one could hear the Address she was giving but you guys get 61 to her and she's was ok

Capp, Tony and Cruz leave for a small fire but you stay and cover them

They come back soon after and you take a break for something to eat

But when you come back everyone's happy
" we back online" you ask and they nod while throwing some of the things on the floor and walking out happily

The rest of shift you guys get no calls and you just go home and have something to eat then bed

You wake up for shift later and practically run out the door

You walk in a few minutes later but not late enough for anyone to notice

As you walk in you see mouch with a man who you assume is taking over for Casey but they get a call and leave soon after

You just sit at the squad table as Cruz shows you all the pictures of baby Otis

They come back and you see gallo and the new Lieutenant Pelham have a heated conversation then Pelham just walks away

But gallo walks away soon after and you just stay out of it for now

A while you guys get another call to a church fire so you all leave quickly and chief tells severide who was still working with OFI

You guys get there to see it was just a false alarm and leave soon after

Shift ends soon after and you decide to go to Mollys

You walk in and go up to the bar

" a beer" herrman asks but you shack your head " no, i think I'll just have a bottle of water if you don't mind" you say and he nods slightly confused but gives it to you

You walk over to gallo and see his talking to Pelham which you were confused about but you walk over

" hey" you say with a small smile and Pelham looks at you confused " Ava Halstead, I'm on squad" you say putting your hand out for him to shake " Jason Pelham, nice to meet you" he says and you smile " well just wanted to say hello, I'll leave you guys to it" you say looking at gallo and he just looks at you basically asking you to get him out of this awkward situation but you just walk away to Capp and Tony who were at a table

The rest of the night you spent it with Capp, Tony and a little time with gallo and you end up going home a bit earlier then usual

You walk in to shift to see gallo and Pelham having an other heated conversation and you give gallo the death stare from afar basically telling him to listen to Pelham and to stop talking because you could tell he was making it worse for himself and after Pelham walks away you slightly smile at him before walking to the locker room and leaving your things there

As you were walking out you guys get a call to the same church from last shift but you guys leave quickly again not knowing what to expect

When you guys get there it looks like nothing again and chief sends truck and engine in to check it out but the severide comes with OFI and the next thing you guys are clearing the parking lot and the building for a fire bom

As you guys were doing it severide starts chasing a guy and he goes in his car and a few seconds later it goes off

You we're close to it trying to get people away and when it goes off a small piece of something hits you and now you have a small cut but nothing serious

You and up finding gallo and he makes you get check with Brett to make sure for no infection and you got the all clear and after you all just go back to the fire house

once you guys get back you walk in and immediately get hit with this smell of meat that and the bad day you had you end up running to the bathroom and throwing up what ever you had eaten

You sit on the floor in the stall basically thinking back about the last few week and life in general before finally lifting yourself off and ground and cleaning your hands and face before walking out and in to the kitchen

You walk up to gallo and see that he made Casey's famous corn beef which surprisingly didn't make you sick

" want some" he asks and you shake your head and stand text to him " you ok" he asks slightly touching your hand on the table " yeah just feel really sick" you say and he nods " you should check that out could be serious" he says and you nod again leaning on the counter

He sits down and eats with everyone and you end up just having a fruit salad

After shift you end ok getting checked by a doctor

" ok so I see nothing clearly wrong but I am going to do a few tests, one of them being a pregnancy test just because all your symptoms do add up but in till I call you don't take any of them store bought ones, they'll only freak you out" the doc said and you nod and by the time you were at your car outside you had all ready convinced yourself that you can't be pregnant so honestly you weren't worried
