Gracie's POV
"hey" I said as I knocked and went into Alex's room
"what's up" she said as she didn't even looked up from her phone
"Can I borrow your history book for a second, I think I have a different page from yours" I said
"Grace why would I even have my history book" she asked "and why are you asking for it at 11pm"
"Alex we have a test tomorrow" I said "didn't you study?"
"uh" she said "I'll read it in the morning" she said
"Alex it's an essay based on almost 20 pages" I said
"guess I won't read it then" she said
"god Alex this grades are really important" I said
"and I know that" she said
"Alex if you fail mom and mama will kill you" I said
"Grace, I'm aware of it. Okay?" She just scolded
"doesn't look like" I said as I walked out of her room
She was really gonna fail this year if she kept this way
Maya's POV
"how can you be the first one to be ready this morning?" I asked as Alex came down
"funny you" she said as she went into the kitchen "I don't know Grace is over stressing about a history thingy"
"history thingy" I said raising an eyebrow "and you're not"
"not the same class" she said
"when are your reports cards coming?" I asked "you know what we said about grades going down if soccer was interferes"
"uh later?" she said "but um, you should go hurry Gracie cause we will be late"
I sighed kowing she was most definently lying to me and knowing this grade situation would be an issue in a couple days.
"hey Gracie, honey we should get going" I said and walked in to see her reading her last notes "honey you'll do great" I said
"yeah I know I know" she said "I just need to read once again my last page and I've got it"
"okay come on then" I said as we both headed downstairs
"where's mama?" asked Alex as she looked at her phone
"working" I said "she'll be here tonight, I'm working a 24 shift"
Alex's POV
"hey" said Mark as he came over to my locker room "heard about your test" he said and I looked at him "did you study?"
"I.. no I did not" I said "I'll figure out something. I guess"
he chuckled as the bell rang "good luck then" he said as he walked away
"hey" said one of my friends as she came over
"oh hey" I said "wanna have lunch together?" I asked
"sure yeah, uh Alex have you seen your sister?" she asked
"no" I said "why?"
"I heard some girl saying she was crying" she said and I looked at her
"crying?" I said and she nodded
"I'm sure I heard her name" she said "just thought you'd want to know"
"yeah" I nodded "thanks, I'll see you at lunch"
