"Keith you don't have to go to the dinner. It's just Zoe & her family." I whisper hoping to change his mind on going to this dinner. I'm aware that Mateo will be attending the dinner & he's a very petty person. He will purposely start shit.

"I want to." He shrugs & I sigh. I sit on the edge of the bed & watch Keith fix his tie. I hand him his suit jacket & he smiles at me.

"Why are you so worried?" He asks, his eyes remaining on me as he fixes his tie.

Only if you knew.

"I'm not." I whisper. He brushes his hair & sprays the expensive cologne I had gotten him for Christmas.

"Then everything will be fine, babe." He speaks softly & I nod.

My phone rings & I stare at my phone, a small smile making its way onto my lips at the contact name. I quickly grab my phone & answer the call.

"Hey Zoe." I whisper.

"Hi sexy. Are you & your chihuahua coming or not?" She speaks & my eyes widen. Thank God I don't have the call on speaker.

"Zoe?! Anyways, yes we're on our way." I sigh.

"Okay. Bye boo." She hangs up & I toss my phone aside. Keith stands in front of me & leans down placing a soft kiss on my forehead.

"Everything will be fine." He smiles softly at me.

I stare up at the familiar mansion & my heart begins to race. Memories that Mateo & I created here begin flooding my mind.

"Babe?" Keith calls out, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Uh yeah?" I gulp.

"Are you okay?" He asks concern & I nod. He smiles at me. We walk up the steps & Keith knocks on the big double doors. Within a few seconds, the doors open revealing Mateo.

He's nicely dressed in a navy blue suit, the suit hugging his muscular body nicely. His growing dark curls are nicely slicked back showing off his handsome face.

I gulp & take my bottom lip into my mouth, I begin nibbling on it.

"Come in." Mateo speaks & I lift my head, Mateo's eyes piercing into my brown eyes. I gulp.

He steps aside & Keith tightens his hold on my hand. We step inside & I can feel Mateo's gaze on me, his eyes lingering over my body. I look around the home & nothing has changed.

"I'm Keith Brown." Keith introduces himself & Mateo nods not sparing Keith a glance.

"I need to use the bathroom." I speak softly, my voice just above a whisper but loud enough that both Mateo & Keith could hear.

"The bathroom is upstairs. I'll show you." Mateo offers & I gulp. Keith releases my hand & smiles at me, reassuringly.

"Breathe, babe. It's okay." Keith whispers softly & I nod.

"One my men will lead you to the dining area where the dinner is being held." Mateo speaks & Keith nods. Keith follows one of the guards, I watch as he disappears into the home.
