~Might wanna read ch 44 again if you forgot what happened. Anyways: cringe warning! Y'all asked for this! I hope you regret it! -J~

"How much longer are you going to stare at the mirror?" Issei chuckles. "Iwa won't care if you look a bit messy."

No, he won't. But he said he loves it when I try to look good for him. "You know me, Sei-chan! I can't go anywhere if I am not my best self."

"You'll be going to his place, right? And you'll be all alone with him... I think you'll be coming home all dishevelled anyways." He grins.

I frown. He's been weirdly supportive now that he spent a night alone with Makki. I wonder what happened between them, but he refuses to talk about it. So annoying...

"You're delusional," I scoff. "We're just gonna hang out together. Play some games, maybe?" Things only happen when I'm drunk, or if it's the middle of the night. I'm planning to hold back this time, no matter what. I won't allow myself to be pulled into something weird.

"Mhm. Sure. Will you be back tonight?" My best friend ruffles my hair.

"Sei-chan! I spent thirty minutes on fixing that!" I exclaim. "Now I'm not gonna answer you!"

He giggles. "Okay. You're coming home, then. You'd never leave me alone without a warning."

"Maybe I will. You've been so mean lately," I pout. "If I didn't love you as much as I do..."

"I know, I know~ You can't resist me~" he hums while hugging me from the side. He's in such a good mood today. I'm glad. Makki must've done something nice yesterday...

After letting out a sigh, I try to tame my hair once more. It won't listen, though. How irritating... And Issei knows how stubbornly chaotic it can be. I can't believe he messed it up like that.

"Whatever," I groan. "I should get going. I think I'm late."

"Hmm, how terrible. That poor guy has to wait for you in his own home, where he's warm and comfortable. So sad," Issei huffs. "Can't you stay with me a little longer?"

"You can have me all to yourself tonight?" I pat his head. "No need to get sad about me leaving when I spend all of my time with you already."

"It's not all of your time if you go now," Issei huffs. "You better come back home before dinner, or I'll start missing you too much."

"Sure. I'll text you if anything changes, okay?" I pull his arms off of me. "I love you, Sei-chan."

He smiles. "I love you too. Have fun today."

"Thanks." The way he said it makes it sound like I'm gonna do something special, but I ignore it.

After giving my best friend one final, quick hug, I start heading towards Iwa's. When I invited him yesterday, I actually planned to go somewhere else, but he insisted on meeting at his home. I don't really care, but... Him being so determined was a little weird. I don't know what to expect when I get there, honestly. But as long as I'm with Iwa, I don't mind what we're doing.

My nerves start acting up a little as I press his doorbell. I hope things won't be awkward because of how things ended yesterday... Just thinking about it makes me want to run, actually. I take a deep breath and try to force the thought out of my head, then put on a smile as the door opens. "Yo, Iwa-chan!"

"Yo." He seems to be tense as well, which doesn't put me at ease. "Come on in."

Quietly, I follow him, not knowing what to say until he stops walking. Wait... "Why are we here? Aren't we gonna watch a movie or something?"
