*the x-men are all in a meeting as the Pr is trying to plan out new rotas and training as the Pr is called out of the meeting by Phil Coulson and Kitty looks at the door at them, the Pr enters the room and looks at his team*// Pr- I think it's time we suit up and get ready// Piotr- what for// Pr-more advanced sentinels and they are will be voting on the next step of the sentinel programme and William Stryker and I've had information that thy will be at the LGBTQ+ parade and I think we need to be present, we have been requested by Kelly// Kitty- yeah does he have good intentions or is a pussy?// Hank- Kitty!// Pr- he is indeed a pussy// Hank- CHARLES!// Pr- excuse my language of course but we are unsure of this time but I have a feeling that we are needed here today// Warren- do you think it's to cause an issue// Pr- I think it is but publicly and I fear it is just for publicity and no cause a fight so we need to be smart take part in everything and remember to engage in all activities and show our support as well as reassurance and safety// Bobby- do we have to wear rainbows because that's not for me// Alex- inappropriate as always dude// Pr- no your regular suits will do thank you Bobby, get prepared we leave in half an hour, ladies less on the make up thank you *everyone is walking out*// Kitty- pr, if you ask forge to make disruptors you just need to get close enough to the sentinels circuit board to see the wires and then learn it and understand the robot// pr- a good idea, I'll have forge to recover a few for analysis, do you know anything about robotics and those things// Kitty- of course// Pr- then that is your project if we recover anything. this is where Erick comes in handy *he looks down upset *// Kitty- I'm sorry Pr, I know things have not turned out the way you wanted them// Pr- I think there is still good in him he's just lost// Kitty- *pauses* I hope so *looks aside sheepish then walks away to get dressed and is in the changing room looking in the mirror and touches the X symbol on her chest and takes a breath feeling a little lost and a little found*// Jean- it suits you *walks beside her and she looks in the mirror too at their reflection* we got this Kit *holds her arm and they walk to the plane talking and set off as Kurt hands out rainbow bands for their arms and they put them all on*// Bobby- this is so stupid//Kitty- don't be such a fucking pig // Bobby- it makes me look-// rogue- look what Bobby???// Bobby- not my colour is all *kitty is looking out the window thinking about Logan and she holds her arm with the burn on it and thinking how stupid the Pr is for thinking Erick is good and how deluded his eyes looked. they land and talk to the police and they're spread out and Kitty is walking with Colossus admiring all the people and performers and how happy everyone is but she still has high anxiety*// Piotr- we never had any of this back home, it is not seen as normal to be gay and I think that is stupid, love is love no matter the gender or sexuality// Kitty- yeah I think a lot of people are pathetic for not accepting people you think we'd learn from years of oppression// Piotr- no the world has changed a lot, pity people wouldn't change with it that is the hardest part of being human or mutant *after a few hours there are sentinels and MRD eyeing up the x-men and they hear a Loud bang and a lot of people start running as they look to see the direction of the screaming and they start running towards the noises*// kitty- didn't take long *she phases through people and runs to 4 HUGE  sentinels surrounding a float that people are all standing on with their arms up and Stryker goes up and smacks  young man in the face and spits at him*// Kitty- HEY THAT'S NOT OKAY!! *he turns around annoyed and sees her and laughs*// Stryker- hello miss Pryde, how have you been? *guns are loaded and Piotr steps closer to Kitty* or do you finally have a new name to go with that little suit of yours?// Piotr- you have no right to assault people// Stryker- but these aren't people are they tin man// Kitty- you are under investigation so you have no authority over anyone// Stryker- says who?// Piotr- say's us// Stryker- take a step closer and see how that turns out for you with these new sentinels, you thought the others were bad can you imagine the damage that these would do. now I may be fired from my position and on the run but you think that stops the MRD or my sentinels? I can override them to cause so much shit for your little freaks and they will think it's all you // Kitty-*smiles* I love a confession *he turns to look at a camera* you are just an idiot, I think you are one of the dumbest about// Stryker- how long have you been filming *pulls face smiling but annoyed*doesn't mater *shoots the camera and the people run as Kitty shields them with her powers and the sentinels activate and Piotr runs at them and punches one in the leg and it makes a hole and he keeps punching*// Stryker- STUPID FUCKING PRESS *starts shooting bullets at Kitty until he's out*// Kitty- why do you hate mutants// Stryker- why wouldn't I?// kitty- do you want to be a mutant?* he laughs looking at her amused* then why? because you have a unhealthy obsession with hurting them and starting an argument and dna it just don't sit right with me. are you selling mutants to those people? *stryker puts his hands on his hips and looks at the floor laughing and then he looks up at her huffs and shakes his head*// Stryker- why not? *she lifts a bullet of the floor using her powers and he freezes*// stryker- don't you dare... people will see you as a killer they'll hate mutants// Kitty- will they *blank face*// Stryker- they'll see you as a killer// Kitty- like you?// Stryker- touché *she uses her powers and pushes him backwards and runs up with a zip tie and ties his hands as he shoves her with his shoulder and she falls back on the floor as he breaks the zip ties and she is shocked*// Stryker- what? you think it's that easy *she stands up and uses her powers to push him into a police van as an officer locks him up*// kitty- hold onto him until shield is here// officer- and how long is that gonna take// Kitty- I'm not sure sorry but do not let him out of there no matter what// officer- okay ma'am//  *kitty runs off and sees everyone fighting and a sentinels shoots at her but she phases through runs to another sentinel and make one shoot the other and it falls down as she uses her powers to rip the one shooting to the floor as Beast starts to pull it apart and she looks up to see Warren and storm fighting some in the air and then she sees some people being loaded into a van as she sprints up to them phases through the people phasing until she takes a gun from a guard and slams it into his head and shoots the other and they fall on  shocked and she uses the cuffs on themselves and then shoots all the guards using her powers to shield the mutants*// Kitty- okay go and keep running until you're far away from here *after much fighting and rescuing people and Kitty is out of breath as Piotr puts arm on her shoulder*// |Piotr- are you okay?// Kitty- yes are you? *a sentinel steps on them she tackles piotr and phases through and they roll out and she get's up and dusts her suit off as she looks up 3 HUGE sentinels crash through an apartment building and all the windows shatter and Kitty looks in shock*// Kitty- BOBBY!!! Rogue tap him!!!!!!// Bobby- ON IT. ROGUE *they high five and she takes his powers  *they starts to freeze the flames enough for Kitty, Warren, Storm, Kurt, Piotr, Beast and Jean to get in*// Warren- split up// Kitty- it's better in pairs// Warren- we don't have time just move * Kitty runs and phases through some walls and walks in on a family and a woman hysterically screaming as a man is n the floor not breathing*// Kitty- calm down it's okay, look at me *grabs her shoulders* we need to get him out of here okay *uses her powers to carry him but needs to phase out so she drags him under his arms *// kitty- hold onto my arm and don't let go we're gonna go through the wall *she grabs onto Kitty squeezing until she winces and they walk outside and away from the smoke and she starts chest compressions and puts him in the recovery position when he starts to breathe and people gather as she updates a paramedic and runs back in going to the next room getting people out one by and she hears screaming and walks in to find a baby crib with debris over and a screaming baby and she walks up and finds a mother laying beside her full of blood she runs to pick up the newborn rocking her in her arms shushing her and turns the mother over who is groggy and barley awake*// Kitty- can you tell me your name?? please can you tell me your name *she wraps a sheet around the baby tying her to her chest and pulls the mother up to sit up and lean against a wall*// Kitty- we are gonna have to get out of here okay? you are gonna have to work with me and do your best for your baby to get out of here *the mother nods and she helps her up and stands one arm over her and the baby to her chest and there is whining and Kitty see's a pit bull cowering in the corner*// Woman- don't leave her *kitty leans the woman against the bed* her leash is over by the front door *kitty runs to grab it and slowly approaches the dog but it backs up so she slowly puts the leash on and calls the dog over, helps the woman up and they stumble away and phase out as more and more people are helping and taking photos and she unwraps the baby from her chest, strokes the dog and hands the lead to people helping and runs back inside and brings people in and out*// jean-*coms* kit can you come to the top floor//kit- let me double check and come help *she phases a cat outside in a crate and gives it to people and runs up to the top floor to see Jean with a huge group of people and pets*// Kitty- how we gonna do this// Jean- use our powers and move them one by one* they use their powers and lower people through a huge hole in the wall one at a time on the floor as the smashed up sentinel starts to activate behind them*// Jean- Kit *she turns and the sentinel smashes through a wall and they both use their powers to push it back then Kitty runs and jumps on it's foot and phases it through the floor but one of it's arm grab her and she phases into it's body and smashes out the circuit board and walks out of the sentinels head and throws the board as it glitches she uses her powers to squeeze it's head  until it shuts down and a helicopter is watching she pulls a face annoyed at them watching instead of helping and they're carry on moving people down one by one*// Kitty-*coms* anyone know how many people are left?// Warren- a good hundred or so, they're still trying to figure it out *coughs* the fire is dying down but the air is getting bad// Kitty- any loses?// warren- let's not jinx it *kitty breathes a sigh of relief*// Scott- Jean? *she turns and runs at Scott and kisses him and wraps her arms around him as Logan tackles a sentinel through the door claws in his chest and stands up and smiles at Kitty and she walks to him and hugs him he then puts a hand on her face she smiles puts her hand on his hand and leans into it and the hug again  and Jean and Scott look shocked*// Logan- you miss me?// Kitty- no * she blushes*// Logan- we'll talk later * coms* alright listen up x-men now I want a sweep on this whole building from roof to bottom I want every floor searched and searched again I want every person and animal out of this place// Rogue- *coms* you really expect me to risk my life for a hamster? // Logan- *coms*that's you call but if that's how you feel go help outside because those people bleeding out and missing their family sure could use some reassurance?// Rogue- *coms* sorry // Logan- *coms* spread out x-men *he walks out * split up// Scott- come on Jean, bonded too much with Logan these last couple of weeks *smiles and he runs off with Jean behind him*// Logan- we need to phase through every room *holds her hand and the run to the room and search around calling out for people and clear another 4 rooms until they find an elderly man in a wheel chair *// Logan- sir are you hurt?// Man- no I'm just not as mobile as I used to be// Logan- I've got you *lifts him*, Kit keep phasing and I'll meet you in the next 5 minutes just stay safe // Kit- always * she phases away and starts coughing as she hears a young woman calling for help and gesturing her and she runs up to find a woman with a toddler connected to an oxygen tank and feeding tube*// Lady- It's gonna be difficult to move all her equipment// Kitty- pack what you can and wrap her in a blanket as best you can and I'll carry her and her equipment and you can carry her meds just hold onto my arm and don't let go and we're gonna walk through the walls now okay? it's a bit Smokey but we need to get out, we're closer to the ground floor so let's get ready  *packs all the things up and kitty wears 2 bags over her shoulders as the mother has 3 bags and kitty holds the toddler in her arms and they quickly rush to a corridor as a sentinels shoots and she phases them through the wall down some steps and phases out of the ground floor and runs to the nearest paramedic and the sentinel bursts through the wall sending debris everywhere and Kitty runs up and shields everyone from blasts as she uses her powers to pull it down to it's knees and uses the other hand to use her powers and pull it's head off and then Logan stabs it through the chest and tears it apart she watches in awe and is really intruded*// Logan- round 2 cat* puts hand out to her and she runs grabs his hand and they both run back into the building phasing hand in hand out of the rooms*// Jean-*coms* I still sense more brain activity in the building and I think we need to get these people away before the building collapses *after another hour the buildings starting to weaken and they are moving more people out and they're in the middle of the apartment 10 both on opposite sides of the hallway  *// Jean- *coms* that's it the only 2 left are just you, time to get out now // Kitty-  wolverine let's go// Logan- shhh *she looks shocked*// Kitty- excuse me// Logan- shut up *she looks taken aback as he walks passed her into a storage room and opens the door and chuckles as small black cat with 4 white paws looks startled and Logan leans down calling it and Kitty walks and sit's beside him trying to call the cat *// Logan- look's like a stray *the cat goes up to them and starts to purr and Kitty picks her up and cuddles her in* I think we just adopted a cat// Kitty- adopted? I'm stealing her okay let's go now *she phase out and people are cheering as Kitty holds onto the cat as a little boy runs towards them crying for his cat and she hands the cat to him and looks at Logan and pouts and he smiles putting his arm around her and hugs her and kisses her head as she looks at him and he looks at her with love and pride*//Kitty- I did miss you// Logan- missed you too* shield turn up and after talking the go to get on the plane but Kitty stays behind to help and talk to people and lead the paramedics*// Warren- she looks like she's found her place// Logan- I'm gonna stay too *walks away by kitty and helps a woman stand up and walks her to go meet her family *after arranging hospitals, bills, places to stay, food and transport for everyone it's early hours in the morning as the police are sealing up the area and they get in Logan's car in silence as it's 4 am and they drive*// Kitty- let's go somewhere *they go up to a clearing on the bonnet of the car watching the sun rise just sitting in silence both deep in thought side by side watching the sunrise*// Logan- our day's aren't always gonna be like yesterday// Kitty- I know, I just hope nothing like this happens we could've lost a lot of people... I know things are gonna get worse and more fucked up but that Stryker the way his head works he has no logic, no sense no limit. I think he just wants to see the world burn.. like Erick// Logan- what about him// Kitty- have you not spoken to Pr Xavier?// Logan- no, we came right to you// Kitty- wait what did you do with the information *he looks shocked* Erick mentioned it about killing all the names on list and their families// Logan- we used to complete a few tasks then passed it onto fury who will destroy it after it's like the database but not the families we deleted that part, now what about Erick? am I missing something?// Kitty- only Erick kidnaping me so he can lure you out with the list and then kill me in front of you// Logan- are you serious? why didn't anyone tell me?// Kitty- you were off grid and it's fine we handled it// Logan- I think this is something you tell people Kit// Kitty- well we we're a bit preoccupied// Logan- so he was gonna kill you?? IS HE FUCKING REAL???// Kitty- Logan it wouldn't matter// Logan- wouldn- are you that stupid?? you think I'd just shrug my shoulder and let than happen or be fine with it?// Kitty- it's our job Logan and you'd be fine anyway// Logan- FINE? you think I'd be fine with that?// kitty- never let anyone know where you're insecure, it will be your downfall. you can't show any of our enemies what or who is important to us *he looks at her annoyed* what?// Logan- you think I don't care about you?// Kitty- no I...I just don't wanna see anyone hurt and especially not you// Logan- It's fucked up that they can already tell how protective I am over you. what happened on that day? when was this? did he hurt you? this is why I keep my distance // Kitty- last week, he pulled our plane down and I got separated from the team and he...we got into a fight and he just hurt my ribs a little but I'm okay. we all escaped because he ran off we haven't heard anything since. the PR seems to think he can be saved but he can't// Logan- he's done this before and he came back from it // Kitty- oh yeah so he's having a wobble so let him nearly kick me death and.. and  he can be redeemed yeah? *he looks at her angry and his eyes go black*// Logan- what aren't you telling me/ Kitty- no it doesn't matter// Logan- *jumps off the car she gets off the car*what is it? please just tell me?// Kitty- honestly it's okay// Logan- what are you hiding?// Kitty- it's not something I want to go into he's a pussy// Logan - he's more than a pussy he is a deluded nut job // Kitty- yeah I know but I don't want to go into it all, today has been a long day*he turns his back to her, exhales and turns back looking upset and his eyes are really sad*// Logan- I understand, sorry *he puts hand over his mouth to hide his disappointment *alright let's go get some food and go get some rest, I know a little diner// Kitty- good, you're paying *jumps off the car and get's into it as Logan get's in and they begin to drive // Logan- you're gonna order pancakes and a stupid latte ain't you// Kitty- I'm having a breakfast with a coke or a pepsi I'm hungry// Logan- sounds like a plan// kitty- I didn't understand how bad things really are to be mutants and that people are literally in a war right now... people are literally dying in front of your eyes. this is literally like discrimination and I get some people are dicks with it and abuse their powers and abilities but not all mutants are like that. mutants are literally siding with people like Erick because they are afraid for their lives. I know people are gonna die and some want to risk it to be free and I I just can't believe this is happening// Logan- I know Kit, what mutants need is hope, and we can offer that to them... somehow
