Chapter 8

Devdutt's POV.

I went down to the hall and saw Radhika already mingling well with others. I knew from the start that she is an extrovert. A person to whom it's easy to have a conversation plus as I said before her innocence and her charm attracts everyone in the room. She was sitting in between Trusha and Shubman when I walked in. I shaked my head thinking ye ladka to shuru hoagya. I took my food from the buffet and went to the tables. I saw they were in the middle of a conversation as Shubman was saying something with others hearing him. I saw a seat opposite Radhika empty and decided to go there.

I sat there with my plate and looked ahead. She was looking at Shubhman as he was saying something but as I sat she looked at me and smiled and nodded acknowledging me and then looked back at Shubhman. I started eating my food and looked around the table. Today the table looked more vibrant. They were laughing, teasing and everything. The fact that Radhika who looked like a scared kitten before meeting them was jelling up well with everyone.

It was almost as if she had known everyone for a long time. She listened to stupid stories of Rutu, Ishu and Shubhman and laughing. She was talking about casual things, work things with Ladies and cricket things with bhais. She was a part of almost every conversation on the table but the most intriguing thing I felt was the honesty in her eyes. She was genuinely interested in what they were saying and giving responses based on it. She was speaking what she felt right and not just nodding her head at everything they say to get in their good books.

Her eyes were gorgeous and the specs suited her. There were a thousand emotions in her eyes and on her face as well. But the most astonishing thing I found was, as I was sitting in front of her I was able to hear what Shubhman was speaking to her and it wasn't just talking but flirting like Shubman turned towards her in between of the dinner he said "Radhika do you know CPR?" She looked confused at him and shook her head no. He then said "Because you take my breath away."

I was eating my food and almost choked on it but Radhika seemed unaffected. She didn't blush or anything similar like other girls used to when Shebhman says those cheesy pick up lines instead she laughed and continued eating. It was like he told her a joke. I guess even Shubhman was shocked a bit at her reaction. I won't say it in front of him but Shubman was a guy who could get any girl with his charms. And this reaction of Radhika was the first.

I exchanged looks with Ishu and Rutu and they had the same faces like mine but Ishu then smiled an approving smile at Radhika and then whispered "Chalo koi to ese ladki mili hume jo gadhon ki shakal pe nahi jati aur akal se kaam leti he." We all chuckled and agreed to him.

In between she started making faces looking at someone. I looked at the source and she was having a face making game with the kids sitting there. I chuckled at her and I guess she heard it and looked towards me. She sheepishly smiled and mouthed 'What? This is fun.' I laughed at that and continued eating my food with her making funny faces at them.

The dinner was almost over when the kids came running towards Radhika and said "Didi come na play with us?" And held her hand to go with them. Radhika gave an excited smile and said "Haa haa chalo chalo.". They pulled her and they started running when Radhika said "Ahh!"

Me and Trusha at once shouted and got up from our seat "Sambhal ke, laga hai usse." Me and Trusha looked at each other while everyone looked at us. I at once sat down and said "Vo car mein bhi laga tha isiliye bola."  "Don't worry I won't run now. Byeee!" Radhika said and went away with the kids."

"Kya karu mein iss ladki ka." Trusha grumbled while eating her food. Anushka bhabhi then said looking at Rahul bhai "You were right Rahul. Ye sach me alag hai aur bahut achi ladki he." Rahul bhai smiled and said "Bola tha na sweet ladki he."  "Sach me. Sabse ache se baat karti he aur smart bhi hai. Ladki badi kamal ki he." Says Athiya Bhabhi.
