Footsteps slowly creaked on every step of the stairs. The bedroom door handle turned slowly.

With a hoarse voice, he questioned, "You up?" "Yeah, I'll be down in a minute," he muttered an okay before closing the door and leaving.

Today was the ball, where practically all of my greatest enemies will be there. I need to make sure he's there because I'm going to finish him off for good.

I've never had a gut feeling, till now.

I put my thoughts aside and get ready for the day; Sebastian insisted on going dress shopping despite my protests that it wasn't necessary and that I was fine with it.

I shower and put on my most basic outfit: a white tank top, black skinny jeans, and a leather jacket. I don't like bright colors, so I stick to black and white.

I don't look myself in the mirror, I hate it.

I have my reasons.

After 20 minutes, I descend the stairs. "Wow, that was quick."I ignore him and begin to move around "Good morning to you as well," he mumbles. As I take in the house design, I roll my eyes; it appears like an old hut that hasn't been used in over a century.

"So, where are we going today?"I ask "You, my dear friend, are going to select a dress and get your hair and cosmetics done for tonight's party," he confidently responds, "absolutely not." I'm not going to go through all of this just to kill someone.

"But why," he bemoans like a child. "Because I said so," I respond. "what's the matter with my clothes? I can just wear what I'm wearing at the moment." I shrug it off.

"No no no and no, there is no way I'm letting you like this to the biggest party ever. We're going to get you ready and you young lady won't say no." He exclaims like an elderly lady who has just witnessed a ghost.

No matter how much I objected, it was pointless to argue with him.

"It's all about shopping." He smiles broadly, "Now that that's out of the way, let's go find you a dress; this is going to be incredible!" He says it with feigned excitement.

Oh god please help me.

We stroll down the street to a Summer's boutique, and I've previously informed Sebastian that I'm not going for something too flashy.

"Hello, my name is Summer, and I'm curious about the theme you've chosen." The lady inquires. She has blonde hair and appears to be in her mid-thirties, I'm sure she got Sebastian's full attention.

Sebastian smirks and shakes her hand before I can respond, oh god, not this again. "Would you please assist my sister in finding the perfect dress for a masquerade party?" He asks gently.

Liar.

"Sure! "Do you want something extravagant or something simple and elegant?" She looks up and down at me, but not in an obnoxious way. "I'm going to go for basic and elegant." I smile at her with a tight grin. "Of course, follow me!" She's such a cheerful bird.

"Make sure you take her phone number," he says quietly. I push him out of the way and follow Summer into the dressing room.

I ultimately settled on a floor-length black dress with a slit to give me an edgy vibe (and to strap my guns and blades).

"How much does it cost?" I only have around $100 with me, so I'm hoping it'll be worthwhile. "That'll set you back 99.9 dollars," oh wow. "I'm paying the bill." Sebastian joins the conversation.

Even better.

We decide to return home after paying for the outfit and wait till the evening to get dressed. This is probably the first time I'm thrilled about a mission.
