Isaac

Am I dead?

I felt like I was stumbling through an endless fog. What happened? Where am I? I had no idea. I worried about Lizbeth. The last thing I remembered was being attacked by the Raven stalkers.

I paused, my stomach twisting into knots at the thought. Muffled words floated through my head but I couldn't make them out. I continued walking through the fog, looking for a way out. I hoped Lizbeth was okay. I didn't know what I would do if anything happened to her. I knew she could handle herself, but there's still so much she doesn't know about magic and our world.

Isaac?

My eyes widened. Lizbeth! I tried to follow, but I kept hitting an invisible wall. I pushed, kicked, and punched. I couldn't even access my magic. I fall on my knees and scream in frustration. There was nothing but darkness and thick fog.

I need to get back to her!

Isaac, please!

An ache welled up in my chest. She sounded hurt! I slammed once more into the wall but nothing happened. What the hell was going on? There has to be a way out!

I sank in exhaustion, my breathing ragged. I didn't know what was going on or how I was going to get out. I was trapped within my mind. Was this some kind of spell? I felt my eyes drift close, my spirit falling deeper into the fog.

Lizbeth. She giggled at the sound of her nickname. She looked so beautiful. Her long hair flowed in the wind and her violet eyes lit up every time she looked at me. I felt myself falling for her the moment I saw her at the party. I reached for her hand and pulled her close. She smiled up at me.

"Oh Isaac," she sighed and leaned into my hand as I ran it through her silky hair. I gently grazed my lips against hers. They were so soft.

Suddenly she vanished. My eyes shot open as I frantically looked around for her.

"Isaac!"

I turned, she was running towards me. I opened my arms to catch her, but she slipped through my fingers.

"Lizbeth!" I screamed as I watched in horror as she was sucked into the darkness.

I bolted upright, frantically looking around for her but only saw the endless fog. My heart beat rapidly in my chest. How long has it been? When did I fall asleep? I felt like I was going insane. I needed to get back to Lizbeth, but how?

I walked through the fog for what seemed like hours as it continued to get thicker. I suddenly felt something wrap around my waist. I froze when I looked down but couldn't see anything. What the...?

Please... Come back to me.

You have to fight this! You're strong... I know you can fight it.
