Races, Spells, and Creatures

In this part, I will list out the various words used in my book, along with the races of Arvora. I use Latin words for spells, not very creative, I know... but I'm no J.R.R Tolkien, lol!

Races

Denali- Den-nal-lee: A race of dragon shifters who live in the Denali mountains of Arvora. They are peaceful but territorial.

Elf - They are fast, intelligent and nimble. Great hunters. Some basic earth and healing magic. Mostly use bows. There are two races that live in the Deep Grove.

-Elvellenoris- El-vel-en-or-is: they live on the western side of the Deep Grove. They are civil towards Arvorian but are often at odds with the Arvellalei.

-Arvellalei- Ar-vel-la-lay: they live on the eastern side of the Deep Grove. They stay away from Arvorians and absolutely do not trust magic in any way, even though they can perform spells themselves.

Arvorians- much like humans, they make up the majority of Arvora.

-Magi- Arvorians who are born with magic.

Dwarves- Great friends of the Denali, they live inside the Denali mountains, the entrance to Endor is located north of Ravenwood forest and east of Tavinshire.

Creatures

Raven stalkers- Giant felines with a poisonous bite. Fast and dangerous. They can travel alone or in packs. Yellow eyes, black fur, mostly come out at night unless hungry. They reside in Ravenwood forest and deep grove.

Forest nymphs- mischievous creatures, they like to lure men and women into their hideout where they are seduced into being food. They reside in Ravenwood forest. They live in small numbers.

Engii- Very intelligent elk-like beasts, similar to dragons. They are larger than normal horses and come in blues and greys with elegant white manes and long antlers. They are fast and strong.

Spells

destruesque- Break, tear, destroy

ut per vulnus sanandum- To heal a wound

collumino- Illuminate

abscondeo- Shelter

habitus- Stasis

indespectus- Invisible

per mandatum meum- Control
