"Hi bal," EL's here na agad tumabi sa akin dito sa kama ko. "Maaga ka ba umuwi kanina?" he asked.

Sabi nga sa akin ni Nanay, EL had a meet up with my Titos after his basketball practice. They invited me pero hindi na rin ako sumama lalo na at kasama ko nga kanina si Debbie. And yeah, minsan na lang kung sumama itong Kuya kong ito sa mga inuman ever since he met that girl kaya for him to attend one earlier, may iniinda siguro! I mean, that's how it is, iinom ka if you feel frustrated over something or someone thinking everything will be okay after. Jeez, bakit hindi na lang kasi ayusin sa personal? I won't settle for that kind of doing. Never to me.

"Uminom ka raw? Was it because of that girl again?" I asked directly. I want to know the reason kasi maaaring mali rin naman ako, who knows?

I saw him sighed and looked away. "Pati ba pangalan niya, ayaw mong sambitin? Hater ka bal!" he said while laughing. Paanong hate iyong tanong ko? Jeez. "I just needed some alcohol, okay? Namiss ko lang tumambay saglit at kasama ko basketball team kanina at sila Tito nga," paliwanag niya

Napairap ako, "Bakit hindi ka aattend sa competition niya sa sabado? Change of heart? Did you realized she is not worth your time, bal?" I asked. Just trying to pissed him off at baka maging honest na siya sa nararamdaman niya. Sana naman.

And yet, it's still the same script over and over again. Friends lang daw—gaddamnit. Ang baduy talaga nitong Kuya kong ito! Staying friends with someone you obviously like? That's crazy!

"Kahit magka-boyfriend siya? Is that okay with you? Paano kung maging sila ulit nung ex niya? Is it okay? Kakayanin mo to stay where you are with her now?" sunod-sunod na tanong ko.

Now that Margareth's ex is here, at mukhang close ulit sila—probably my brother's hurting over that fact. Seeing someone you like with someone? That will probably hurt! As for me, possessive ako. Debbie should know that, for sure.

"Bal, I just hope you don't experience what I am into now because I'm sure, I'll give you a hard time as well!" aniya habang natatawa. He should be surprise if he founds out I am currently dating exclusively! "Chill, bal! You know you will still have me whenever you need me! I'm still here with you! Hindi pa naman ako mag-aasawa! Magtatabi pa rin tayo sa pagtulog!" aniya at talagang tawang-tawa.

Agad akong napaismid. "You're making it sound like I am a possessive brother to you! Kapal nito! I'm just being protective, okay? I'm not jealous of the attention you are giving her! I have my own life too!" singhal ko. Sige, maybe I am acting pretty possessive pero ang totoo gusto ko lang naman protektahan ang kapatid ko! Iyon lang, ayaw kong masaktan siya o nahihirapan! It's the least that I can do for him.

And then with all the denial he is mumbling na nakakarindi na ay sinabi niya sa akin na nagyaya ang Margareth na iyon ng date once she wins the competition this saturday! Jeez! So, does that mean she likes my Kuya too? Kaya ba mukhang good mood ang isang 'to?

Or papaasahin niya ang Kuya ko?

"Date? Kayong dalawa lang? Like, going out to watch movies, have fun with some childish activities, and eat dinner—usual couple dates, right?" I can't help my self in to interrogating him.

"How do you know? Have you actually dated someone in that kind of level, bal? Seryoso?" Natatawa siya. "It's fun, right?" anito na may halong excitement.
