the blue hair sat quietly in the white room, the emptiness was filled with the silent beeping of the different machines. the still body of the now pale being laid their with an unsettling peace. hating how much emptiness there was in the room

all he really wanted was to hear his best friend laugh again. he'd admit the other was annoying here and there, but that wasn't what was important in this case. being left alone for so long makes you lonelier than if the person has left for a day

was he scared that the other would never wake up? yes. he was extremely frightened every hour. he felt horrible, unreasonable guilt burrowed into his skin even if it wasn't his fault. every time he remembered it, it was like an arrow to the side

"i'll see you later lucas" he whispered with a shy smile, pulling his bag over his shoulders. the hospital was close enough for it to be a walk with no inconveniences. the crowded streets giving him closure that nothing wrong would happen.

his ears singled out a singular noise out of the whole crowd, heels. he hated it so much, he hated how he could figure out the distance and the pacing of the sound of heels. it shouldn't be something he noticed, but it was. he always noticed.

he'll always notice, he'll always notice, he'll always notice.

could it be the feeling of people staring at him? or the anxiety? could he tell the difference? hell no, but did he care? yeah. yeah he did. it was like he was gonna lose his mind to his recklessness. "i needa go home.." he huffed
