Stargazing

It was dinner time and mostly everyone had finished eating. The sound of Apollo kids singing filled the air, but you weren't paying attention to them like everyone else was. You were staring into the camp fire thinking about her, all you could ever think about was her. You loved everything about her, her spiky hair, the punk clothes she always wore, and her eyes, oh gods, her electric blue eyes were breathtaking.  Who was she? None other then your best friend Thalia Grace. You looked over at her, the fire illuminated her face, she was laughing at something someone said. She locked eyes with you and smiled, you hoped she couldn't see you blushing, you smiled back and waved before looking back at the camp fire. You get up and start to walk in the direction of Half Blood Hill, everything was too loud and you just wanted to be alone. You got to the top of the hill and sat down, the sound of Apollo kids singing was more distant now. You looked up at the stars and sighed, you loved looking at stars since you were a kid. As you were looking at the constellations and saying the names of them in your head you heard foot steps coming towards you, whoever it was sat down by you and spoke

"Hey y/n", the person said

You automatically recognized the voice, it belonged to Thalia

"Hey Thals", you responded

"Are you okay? You just got up and suddenly left"

You nod

"Yeah, I'm fine. I just wanted to look at the stars", you responded

You hoped she couldn't tell that you were lying. You weren't fine,  you couldn't tell Thalia how you felt, she was your best friend and you didn't want to make it awkward. Besides, you knew she would never like you back. She just nods and lays down on the grass, you did the same

"They are quite pretty tonight", she said

She goes on to point out constellations and name them off, even telling you stories about some. You found yourself staring at her, she looked so angelic in the moonlight. Her voice was calming too, you could've listened to it for hours. Her voice trails off as she looks at you and notices you staring, a smile tugs at the corners of her lips

"What are you staring at?", she asked

You blushed before looking back up at the sky

"Nothing", you reply

She pokes you in the arm

"Tell me"

You shake your head and sit up, she does the same. You look at her, gods, why did she have to be so pretty

"I want to tell you so many things but I'm terrified "

She scoots closer to you, there was no way she couldn't see your blush

"Y/n, you can tell me anything"

She takes your hand in hers, her electric blue eyes gaze into your  (e/c) eyes. "You can tell me anything" the words replayed in your brain, you took a deep breath

"Thalia... ever since we met I thought you were the coolest person in the entire world, and I love spending time with you. I don't want this to ruin our friendship but..."

Your voice was barley above a whisper now

"I have a crush on you"

You feel a wave of relief wash over you, but now it's replaced with the feeling of worry. Instead of freaking out and running away, Thalia places her hand on the side of your face and starts caressing your cheek with her thumb

"Y/n...", her voice was soft

"I had no idea you felt the same way. I didn't want to say anything because I didn't want to scare you away, but...", her voice trails off as her eyes dart down to your lips

"Kiss me, please"

 Thalia leans in and presses her lips against yours, you immediately melt into the kiss and move your lips against hers. You tilt your head to the side to deepen the kiss, Thalia's hand that was on your cheek wanders down to your hip. You reluctantly pull away and gasp for air, Thalia smiles and rests her forehead against yours

"You have no idea how long I've wanted to do that", she says

You smile and lay down on the grass, she copies you and intertwines your fingers. This is all you've wanted for such a long time and it felt great
