Justice
We've been home for a couple of days now, just in time for Christmas Eve! We decided to stay at my parents house until New Years, just in case something were to happen to me or Janet it's more convenient.
"Baby?" Anika was taking a much needed nap while I was watching reruns of My wife and kids.
"Yes?"
"Can you take a nap with me... please." She asked rolling over and grabbing me to pull me closer.
"No, the boys are having field day right now. I can barely sit here and watch tv without groaning every five minutes."
"Well at least cuddle with me. Make me feel loved." She said laughing and kissing my neck. I rolled my eyes and turned on my side so she could hold me.
"Is that better for you?"
"Much better. I love you."
"I love you too." Anika was everything and more. I couldn't ask for a better fiancé. She treats me like I'm the only thing that matters and she treats Kobi as if she's her daughter. She's even built a much better relationship with Janet, Toni's still not feeling her.
After about two hours of watching Junior get repeatly slapped in the head and Anika rubbing my belly I was hungry. I slipped from out of her grip slipped on my slippers and walked out into the hallway.
"Mommy!" Kobi was coming from KJ's room holding her favorite bunny.
"Yes baby?"
"I want to go with you." She said smiling and grabbing my hand. I didn't mind the company so we walked downstairs into the kitchen and Janet was in there.
"Hey Just and Kobi." She was making a sandwich and drinking a bottle and water.
"Hey G!" Kobi was full of energy for no reason and it made me happy.
"Hey mama, you up? You're usually sleeping around this time of day."
"It's Christmas Eve I can't go to sleep now cause I won't be able to go to sleep at night and everybody knows-"
"Santa won't come if your awake!" Kobi said finishing her sentence.
"Exactly Kob! I'm surprised your momma didn't know that." She said putting the lunch meat back into the refrigerator.
"Kobi! Where are you? We were supposed to be watching Polar express!" KJ yelled while walking in the kitchen.
"I'm right here don't yell." Kobi said uncovering her ears and walking over to KJ.
"Let's go before it starts." And they were off running towards the theater room holding hands.
"And to think it'll be another girl to the group in a couple months is crazy." I said grabbing a lunchable and cranberry juice from the fridge.
"I know I'm not ready." Janet said laughing.
"You? At least you won't have two newborns." I said walking back around the island.
"You're right but it won't be so bad. You have us and most importantly Anika."
"Yeah I know. I'll see y'all later for dinner I'm gonna go get some rest these babies won't stop harassing me." I said laughing.
Anika was still sleep when I got back upstairs. I guess the lack of sleep from moving and performing every night for almost a year was finally catching up to her. I wanted to go to take a nap with her because for some reason I knew that I would be up for most of the night.
As I was getting in the bed I got a real bad cramp in my back making me freeze in place. I knew if I moved it would only get worse.
"Baby?" Anika called barely above a whisper.
"Hmm? Mmm fuck." I replied but I got no response I'm assuming she fell back to sleep. After a minute I could finally stand up straight.
I couldn't help but think I was going into labor either tonight or tomorrow, although they weren't due until January 16th. This is exactly what happened the night before I had Kobi, so of course I was freaking out.
"This can't be happening, not right now." I said walking out of my room and next door to my parents room. I knocked on the door before entering, I had learned my lesson.
I didn't get a response instead Janet came to open the door. She was smiling about what? I had no clue but since we've been here she's been back to herself, always smiling and laughing.
"What's wrong?" I didn't want to worry anyone especially if it was false labor. I said the first lie that came to my head.
"Nothing's wrong. I came to ask you guys what you wanted from target, but I can see it's only you in here. Where's mom?"
"With her family for the day until dinner." She said squinting her eyes.
"Are you sure your okay? Three minutes ago you were way different then you are now."
"I'm great I promise." I said wincing and rubbing under my stomach.
"They still hurting you?" She said walking in her closet. As soon as she couldn't see me anymore I released a loud groan and leaned against the dresser.
"Mhmm! Oh my god!"
"I'll take that as a yes." Janet said rushing over to me and sitting me on the bed. She tried to speak but I shook my head and placed my hand over her mouth. After a minute the pain stopped and I immediately moved my hand.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to do that I just need quiet."
"I understand but don't ever do that again." She said in all seriousness.
"I'm gonna go wake Anika up." I said getting up and practically running out of the room. When I walked in the room Anika was in the bathroom taking a shower. I went in the bathroom and sat on the counter.
"Hey baby!" She said smiling at me. "I called you about ten minutes ago. I was trying to get up but ended up falling back to sleep." She said laughing.
"I know you did I replied and got no response. Can we go to Target? I want some veggies straws and cake."
"Yeah of course give me twenty minutes and we can leave."

We were on our way to Target and I could tell Justice wasn't telling me something. She was barely talking to me, but she was groaning a lot, too much for my liking.
"You want to go to the hospital?"
"No... why? I'm fine, can we just get out. Please?" She said unbuckling her seat belt and getting out of the car and grabbing Kobi. I didn't want to start an argument with her and make her upset if she really was going into labor so I just got out of the car.
We were walking around Target looking for some snacks when we came across an older woman making Justice stop in her tracks.
"Justice? Oh my goodness! It's been a while since I've seen you!" She said pulling her into a tight hug. When she pulled away she looked down at Kobi and tears immediately came to her eyes.
Justice hadn't said a thing but I could read her facial expression and she looked terrified.
"And whose this?" The lady asked. Justice looked back at me so the lady couldn't see that she had started crying. I wiped her eyes and she smiled a little.
"This is Anika my fiancé and this.... is your granddaughter."
