I Jumped Up From My Bed And Got Dressed. I Could Feel Carsons Eyes On Me. I Grabbed A Bag From Under My Bed.

"Dont Pack Alot"

"Okay" I Packed A Couple Of Days Worth Of Colthes,A Toothbrush, A Hair Brush And A Note Book.

"Lets Go"

"Alright. 1 Last Thing."

"What?"

"Happy Birthday"

"Thank You" I Smiled And Kissed Him

I Opened The Attic Window And Tossed My Bag Down. I Jumped Out Landing Perfectly On My Feet. I Steped To The Side And Waited For Carson. A Moment Later Carson Came Tumbling Down, He Landed On His Hands And Knees. I Laughed.

"Im Part Dog, What Did You Expect"

I Couldnt Stop Laughing. I Grabbed His Hand And We Started Walking.

We Walked About A Block Away From My House And Got In Carsons car. I Curled Up In The Backseat.

" I Was Hopeing You Would Sit In The Front With Me"

"I Havent Gotten Much Sleep Latley"

"Alright" He Sighed.

"Sorry"

"Its Okay."

I Smiled And Curled Up In A Ball, The Radio Was Playing Paino Music So I Easily Fell Asleep

"Kaye Laini Wake Up" Was All I Could Hear.

"I Just Fell Asleep" I Mumbled.

"No! Its Been 2 Hours Now Wake Up"

I Sat Up And Wiped my Eyes.

"Were Being Attacked." Carson Yelled.

"By What?!?"

"Other Vampires."

"Do What I did When I K1lled Carlee" He Threw Me A Stake. The Wood Burned in my hand.

I Took A Deep Breath And Got Out Of The Car. I Was Surrounded My Vampires. They Were Growling And Ready To Attack. One Plunged At Me. I Acted Quick And held The Stake Out In Front Of Me. He Landed Right On To It. And The Battle Began. I Was Bitten, Scratched And Cawled At. Most Ran Off While Others Continued To Hurt Me. Eventulay I Crawled Back Into The Car. Carson Took Off Hitting The Ones That Were Still There. Tears Began To roll Down My Face.

"Are you Okay" Carson Asked As We Sped Down The Highway.

"I Think"

"Your All Scartched Up"

"No Duh" I Wiped My Eyes And Sat Up "Where Are We Going"

"An Apartment I Bought Once"

"Okay" I Sniffled.

He Opened The Glove Box And Handed Me A Tissue.

"Thanks"

We Came To a Parking Lot And Parked. Carson Got Out.

"Kaye Laini Are You Coming."

"No"

"Come On" He Walked to My Side Of The Car And Opened The Door. "Please"

"No"

"We'll Go Inside, Clean Up Your Cuts And get Some Sleep"

I Didnt Move. He Sighed And Picked Me Up.

"Im Gonna Have to Carry You In Then" He Smiled.

I Giggled.

Carson Carried Me In And Set Me on the Bathroom counter. I Looked Around. The Bathroom Was Huge. The Whole Apartment Was Huge. He Pulled Out A first aid Kit And Began Cleaning My Cuts. I flinched As He Dapped At A Cut On My Cheek.

"Im Sorry I Couldnt Help" He whispered.

"Its Okay" I Leaned Foreward and Kissed his Cheek.

"Im Glad We're Togther Again" He Smiled

I Hugged Carson And Smiled. I Was About To Say Something When His Phone Went Off. He Pulled It Out Of His Pocket And Smiled.

"Its Aaron"

"Speaker Phone?"

"Yeah" He Opened The Phone And Put It On Speaker.

"You Kidnapped Kaye Laini" Aaron Yelled. Carson Looked At Me And Smiled. I Knew excatly What to Say.

"Its Not Excatly Kidnapping When I Wanted To Go"

"Kaye Laini Why Would You Want To go with Him"

"I Love Him Aaron" I Smiled At Carson And Closed The Phone.

Carson Kissed Me And Picked Me Up Again.

"I Can Walk Now"

"I Dont Care" He Smiled And Set Me Down On The Bed.

I Crawled To The Middle And Pulled The Covers Around Me.

"This Bed Is So Soft" I Giggled And Layed Back. He Layed Down Next To Me. I Curled up Next To Him. I felt Safe. really Safe

"Kaye Laini Wake Up" Was All I Could Hear, Someone Was Shaking Me.

"No" I Mumbled.

"Please" His Lips Were At My Ear. I Shivered And Opened My Eyes.

"We've Been Sleeping For 15 Hours And Aaron Left Me And Voice Mail Saying Him And Lilly Were Looking For Us."

"So We Gotta Go"

"Carry Me"

He Laughed And Picked Me Up.

I Changed And Then Me And Carson Were Back On the Road.

"No Vampire Slayer This Time?" I asked As I Leaned Against The Window.

"Nope." He Chuckled "I Have No Idea Where Those Ones Came From"

I Laughed And Smiled. "Where Are We Going?"

"The One Place My Brother Would Never Go"
