This poem was written as an emotional response to a song called, "Only the Winds" by Olafur Arnalds. As I listened to the song, I "responded" by writing what the song made me feel. The poem is best experienced if you read it while listening to the song. I'm including a video of it with the poem!

Dehuman is a haunting tale of survival in a world stripped bare. Alone in the frozen aftermath of catastrophe, one man clings to faith, memory, and ritual to keep from unraveling. His past lingers in fragments of family, friendship, and fleeting warmth, while his present is defined by silence, hunger, and the ever pressing weight of God's absence, or His judgment. Told in alternating glimpses of youth and desolation, Dehuman is a stark meditation on belief, isolation, and what it means to carry the burden of humanity when all else is gone. But when a strange discovery interrupts the silence, his world and everything he believes, begins to change.

There is a saying, and it goes like this: "Humans aren't always going to behave as we think we all should, for we can be bad, as we can be good." Only the bad has outrun the good. After the 'Devastation' occurred, monsters did not only live inside humans. They lived on the bare crust of the earth. Everything was left to die; the flowers, the trees, the animals, the humans. The world had become corrupt. And that was when the bases came into play. Paix, Pratique, and Préjudice. The three that branched off from the suburban original; the Quarter Base. They were designed to protect each other, although they were only a distraction from the real world beyond the boundaries of a 'perfect life'. That was what Jake Lawson and his partner Marie Wyatt had feared from the very start. But there were more secrets kept beyond the golden bars of the Quarter Base- and they were only just about to find out the devastating truth of their real past. What had happened all those many years ago. //ENTERED IN THE WATTYS 2015. Death Bringer now has a sequel: Deadly Nightshade.

Everything was lively and peaceful, at least, that is until the dragon attacked. It came swift and sudden, taking everyone off guard. Nobody expected the myths to be true. In the face of the dragon, desolation descends. People tried to flee, and as the town was burning, Malron and his fellow guards tried to repel the dragon. To no avail, they failed only to disappear in the dragon flame. Amidst the chaos, Malron who was injured saw something. A man who walked towards the dragon, a man who did not cower in fear, he faced the dragon head-on. As they vanish from view, the survivors have time to collect themselves. Upon making a decision, Malron pursues the dragon with a group of comrades. Although he was not sure what he would find in the forest. * * * Feel free to message me if there are any errors, critics or advice. *Gerard Way Desolation Row AU* California Montgomery has moved out of her small town in Indiana to a street called Desolation Row in Jersey with her best friend, Frank Iero. She's got a bad past that she wants to forget. Which she does, once she meets/fucks on accident Mikey Way. Then she's got other problems to worry about besides her past, especially when a ticking time bomb named Gerard Way wants her to be his personal booty call. Will she fall into her destructive habits again? Or will she change some bad people for the better? * Lmao I suck at descriptions but hey here's the rewrite! I own all the original characters and plotline, I do not own (no matter how much I wish) any of the MCR members or any other real people in this book.

What happens when the planet you are from no longer sustains life because of the generations that lived before you. The blue marble that shines so brightly like a Gem in our solar system has gone, replaced with a dark and poisonous planet. Ten years ago the earth had a major Exodus, evacuating as many humans as possible. Luna was left behind to face the devastation, to try and survive in a bleak and obsolete world. Barely able to breathe the toxic air, life is no longer about living, but surviving. This book was written by J Butterworth and C Hufer.
