"Iai Chop, Form One:Fire Moon!"
Benimaru ignites and creates a sharp-blade of flames on the palm of his hand, and swings it in Kyoya's direction, creating a crescent-shaped flame that sent Kyoya flying backwards while dealing some heavy damage.
"Benimaru's as strong as ever, but he's not the only one who's gotten stronger!!!!!"
Kyoya created multiple platforms of ice as he used them to jump high in the air. As he did this, he was also building up some momentum for his next attack. Seeing this, Benimaru smirked as he could tell he could have a little fun.
"Bring it, Kyoya Fullbuster."
"Ice-Make:Cold Excalibur!!!"
As Kyoya was in the air, the ice mage forms an extremely large longsword out of ice. When he swung the blade, Benimaru jumped back as he saw large chunks of ice forming from Kyoya's slash. When Benimaru and Kyoya looked at each other, a smile was on their faces.
"It's getting pretty late Benimaru. So then, are you ready to settle this?"
"Yeah. We'll settle this fight with one attack."
As Kyoya and Benimaru said this, their mana was clashing as they were gathering their strength. To be honest, they wished they could continue this spar but they both have responsibilities to take care of. Now it all comes down to this last clash of attacks.
"Iai Chop, Form Four:Red Sun!!!!!"
Benimaru ignites and creates a sharp-blade of flames on both palms of his hands and releases a very powerful beam of flames. Seeing this, Kyoya smiled widely as he was ready to fight back. Soon the Devil Slayer marking on his right arm appeared as he was ready to counter.
"Ice Devil's Rage!!!!!!!!"
After first taking a deep breath, Kyoya releases a large purple blizzard of cold air, ice, and snow from his mouth, directing it at Benimaru's attack. When the two spells collided, a pillar of flames and ice erupted as the area around them was either burned in flames or frozen in ice. Seeing this, the two opponents looked at each other.
"It's just like I thought. Out of all the flame mages i've faced, Benimaru is definitely the strongest one."
"That last attack had some real power behind it. Though it's a bit sloppy now, with enough work, that magic could be a real threat."
The two mages smiled as they walked back into Sun Village. As they walked through the village, Kyoya was remembering what Echidna said. It seems that the Heart Kingdom should be his next destination, but how can he get there? As he said goodbye to Benimaru, he flew back to the Black Bulls Hideout.
~Black Bulls Hideout~
"Oh, hey Ice Stripper. Did you take care of what you needed?"
As Kyoya walked into the Black Bulls hideout, he saw Yami sitting down and smoking a cigarette. However, he wished his captain would stop calling him that nickname.
"Yes sir. The questions that bothered me has been answered, but new ones formed in the process. What about you, did anything happen while I was gone?"
"You bet your ass that something happened. Damn Magic Parliament tried to execute the runt and the bird, so we busted up the court. However, the execution is postponed since we're now tasked with the investigation of devils. If we do a good job, they just may spare them. So then, you think you might know something?"
"Actually, I think I have a lead Captain Yami. The Heart Kingdom, i'm positive that there's someone in the Heart Kingdom that's cursed by a devil. If that's the case, it may help with the investigation. Not to mention, I might be able to work something out if its true."
Yami began to think about what Kyoya said. It seems he's learned some valuable information. He then stood up as he walked towards the ice mage. As he stood before Kyoya, Yami smiled as he slaps Kyoya's back.
"At least you got a damn lead, ya Ice Stripper. I'll go see if we can go to the Heart Kingdom. Until then, rest up until further notice."
"Yes sir!!!!!"
As Kyoya salutes towards his captain, he went into his room. When he did, he fell onto his bed after having a long day. But one thing kept bothering him. Just who was the man that he saw in the second trial. He doesn't know him, yet he feels like he's connected to him.
"I need answers...i'm sure going to Heart Kingdom is one of them."
~Meanwhile~
Kurono was seen walking out a facility in the Spade Kingdom. As he was exiting, he took a deep breath and looked at the sky. It was still snowing in the Spade Kingdom, but he doesn't really care about it. One thing was currently on his mind.
"Kyoya's inheritance is complete. If that's the case, then HE will slowly awaken. It looks like i'll have to play may role as the Child of Lust. Sorry, Spade Kingdom. But Uncle Reaper is done playing salaryman for you. It's time I pay the weakling a visit."
As Kurono said this, he began to walk away from the kingdom. To be honest, everything was boring and repetitive for him. But now he gets to see his favorite weakling again and bully him. However, as he walked forward he heard something running behind him.
"I guess Vanica already predicted me leaving, so she sent one of her little experiments after me. Honestly, those curses of hers are a pain. To think they can turn even a citizen to something like this."
The creatures that Kurono saw couldn't be considered human anymore. It would be more accurate to say that they were sentient charcoal beings that eternally burn in flames. Seeing this, Kurono unties the bandages on his right arm.
"I bet you all were amazing weaklings before turning into this. Guess i'll wipe you put before you get your hands on other weaklings I like to abuse. Now then, you have to face Uncle Reaper before resting in peace."
As Kurono said this, he released Black Smoke from his right hand. The smoke that he emits is also connected to his senses, allowing him to track movements that happen within the smoke. Suddenly he turned around as gathered and solidified smoke in both of his hands to create two short blades as he stabbed them inside one of the creatures that was behind him right in the heart and neck.
"That's a good weakness you all have."
Kurono jumps high in the air to avoid a punch from one of the creatures. As he looked around, he saw that there was a small army of these creatures. Seeing this, he sighed as he didn't want to waste time but a smile was on his face seeing how many weaklings are here. Soon his grimoire opened up as a Spade was on its cover.
"I guess I can have a little fun. Smoke Magic:Cannibalism."
With his grimoire opened, Kurono released a great amount of black smoke from his right hand. The smoke began to enter the creature's bodies through either there ears, nose, eyes, or mouths. After the black smoke was inside their bodies, Kurono increased the temperature of the smoke so high and so quickly that the creature's bodies began to burn from the inside. Their internal organs were now burning and melting as their bodies were also starting to burn intensely from the outside as well.
Seeing this, Kurono began to walk away. As he did, the creatures stopped moving as they were now nothing but corpses that was severely burned and nearly unrecognizable. Soon a smile appeared on Kurono's face as he thought about the role he had to play.
"Now then........time to pay a visit to the Heart Kingdom."
