Pagkabalik ni Dwayne sa office ko ay nakangiti ako at handa ng sabihin sa kanya ang natagpuan ko kanina lang but when I get to see his face and his expression. Napahinto ako. The smile I have is now gone and it is replace with curiousity.
"What happened?", tanong ko sa kanya ng maisara na niya ang pinto sa office ko.
Imbis na sagotin ang tanong ko ay mas lalong kumunot ang kanyang noo at bumaling sa akin na may nanlilisik na mga mata.
"You let someone else in here?", he barks at me with a demanding and commanding voice.
I don't know what to say. Iyon nga ang sasabihin ko sa kanya but right now. My mind got blank and I run out of words to answer his question.
"I-I let one student in. Her uniform got ruined because of me", sagot ko sa kanya.
Mas lalong kumunot ang kanyang noo sa akin. "Her? What her??", he let out a low growl and walk towards me.
I feel inferior and small with the kind of power he showed me. "Sh-She's my m-mate", nauutal na sagot ko.
Doon ay nakitaan ko ng pagkadismaya ang mga mata niya. He step back like he's surprise or he got weak with the words I say. Na para bang matindi ang tama nito sa kanya.
"Y-Your mate?", he asked again so I just nodded at him. Dahil doon ay ang galit na nakikita ko sa kanyang mga mata ay biglang nawala.
He showed me his smile with full of pain kaya imbis na matuwa ako dahil hindi na siya galit ay hindi ko naman naramdaman dahil sa nababasa ko sa kanyang mga mata. He never showed emotion to other weres even to the Alpha's of the other pack. He only showed it to me.
"I must say congratulations, my brother. You already found yours", sabi niya na para bang hindi na niya mahahanap ang sa kanya.
"You'll find yours soon, brother", sabi ko at tinapik ang kanyang balikat ngunit malungkot na mga mata lamang ang iginawad niya sa akin.
"Yeah. Sure", tinapik niya ang balikat ko at tumalikod na. Bumaling siya sa malaking bintana na matatanaw galing dito ang kabuoan ng campus. His eyes wander around like he's looking for something but when I saw how his eyes stopped at one spot, I knew he found what he's been looking for pero hindi ko na alam iyon.
Bumalik nalang ako sa mesa ko at ipinagpatuloy ang ginagawa pero hindi ko talaga maalis sa isipan ko si Delaney.

Pagkalabas ko sa opisina ni Bryce ay kaagad akong dumiretso sa baba ng building. I disguise myself as a commoner. I put on eyeglasses and contact lens to hide the real color of my eye. It's albino, like my grandfather, and also like my dad's when he gets angry. Ngunit iyong sa akin ay parang natural lang. Bryce has different eye color since we're not real siblings but we threat each other like one.
Naka simpleng T-shirt at pantalon lang ako. I want to freely wander around the school I built with Bryce without someone's attention. I know being an Alpha King is and eye catcher. Everyone will flock on my feet to impress me and I don't want that. I want them to threat our kinds equally and not base on the ranks they have.
Inuna kong tingnan ang field ng campus. The smell of freshly cut grass penetrates in my nose. Ngunit isang nakakabagabag na boses ang aking narinig sa likod ng naglalakihang puno sa bandang kanan ko. In a blink of an eye, kaagad akong nakarating doon at kaagad nasaksihan ang nangyari.

Right, what a nice day. I found my mate while she's having sex with some weak werewolf. My insides went upside down as I attacked the helpless man. His eyes widened when he landed on the ground with me above him.
"YOU SON OF A BITCH!", I punch him twice as my mate stopped me from punching him by kicking my side at bahagya akong tumilapon.

Kumunot ang noo ko sa kanya. "I am your mate", I said those words like she doesn't know it. I said that like she'll change her mind for me. I said that to wake her up that the man beside her isn't what's meant for her. It is me who's meant for her.
"And so? You're my mate but that doesn't mean I like you. A man like him is way better than a poor nerd like you", she gasp for air as her eyes darted at me sharply. "It is actually better if my mate is an Alpha. You're not and he's not but I'll choose him", aniya at tinalikuran ako at ang lalaking kasama niya. "Lampa ka", she said at the man beside her.
Pero bago pa siya makaalis ng tuloyan ay mabilis akong nakarating sa kanyang harapan. Her eyes widened at my sudden move ngunit kaagad bumalik ang matalim niyang tingin sa akin.
"Wait! There is a misunderstanding between us", sabi ko as I sigh.
Should I lay all my cards? Tell her I'm an Alpha, a Alpha King actually. That's what she wants. She's be happy to know that I am an Alpha of all Alphas.
"What misunderstanding? What? You're not a poor nerd but and Alpha?", naningkit ang mga mata niya sa akin. "WHAT!?".
"I am. An Alpha. I am", sabi ko na ikinatawa niya ng malakas.
"Oh! Please, don't make me laugh", sabi niya at humalakhak. "You're rejected already, Mister. Or, maybe you wanna have sex first before we part? You'll probably so broken", aniya at lumapit sa akin.
She place her hands on my chest, seducing me. Hindi ako umayaw at hindi ako umatras. I don't know what's gotten on me. From the first lay of my eyes on her, I suddenly want her. I can feel my heart jumps for joy kahit na hindi kaaaya-aya ang nasaksihan ko kanina.
She then burst into laugher. "Sorry, mate. I Charlotte Alby rejected you as my mate", she smirks as she runs off and leave me alone in the woods with my heart breaks a million times.
Napaluhod ako sa damuhan. Hindi kaagad narehistro sa aking isipan ang sinabi niya. I lost myself and I can feel myself burning like fire. My eyes heated and I am aware it's getting red like my dad's. I shut down my humanity and run back to Bryce office.
I can't take this. Lalo na't pagdating ko doon ay nalaman ko ang nangyari sa kanya. He met his mate and he's all smiles while I'm in misery. Pero hindi ko siya masisisi sa nangyari.
This is unfair. I heard mom was rejected by her first mate before and I don't know how she manage that and how dad helped her get through the heartaches.
Tanaw ko galing sa office ni Bryce ang buong campus. And even the field I've been on earlier. I even saw her running with around the field with her friends and she's all smiles.
Damn it! I should be the cause of her smiles, but, right now. After what happened? I don't know what to do if I should go back here tomorrow or not. I'll know it tomorrow.
