My First True Love Chapter 13
I started to feel sick, my heart stopped as soon as I saw him kissing Wendy. Tears were running down my eyes; I wish I could just go back in time and stop myself before coming here so I didn't have to see what was happening in front of me. Marisa turned around and gasped.
"Jane we have to go, you had enough" she grabbed my hand and left a 20 dollar bill on the table.
"That should take care of it" she said taking me outside of the restaurant. I started crying once we were outside; the ambient of the restaurant was making me feel disorientated. I took deep breaths, trying to forget about what just happened.
"Jane, everything is going to be fine" I nodded and giving her a reassurance smile.
"Jane, I'm going to need for you to go to the car ok...I need to grab something for my mom, but I'll be there in a few minutes"
"I can go with you" I said, there was no need for me to go to the car.
"No, please...you need to be away from here, just go, I'll be there in a few minutes"
"Ok, you're right I need to fresh air" she nodded looking uncomfortable and I couldn't help to notice a hint of nervousness in her face.
I nodded and turned around heading to the parking lot. But there was something in me telling me that something was going to happen. Why would Marisa feel nervous about?
I let that thought go and got in the car. I leaned back on the seat and closed my eyes for a few minutes trying to recall the events that happened back at the restaurant.
I felt anger and sadness going through my body, Alexander really hurt me. But things are going to change, if Alexander wants war, he is going to have one.
A few minutes passed by and Marisa came back holding a brown bag.
"What took you so long?" I asked, she looked relieved and calmed.
"I...I need to get a couple of things for my mom and the line was long, it took me forever I know....how are you feeling?"
"I'm ok, I just need to go home now; I need to get ready for my date" she smiled and nodded taking me home.
When I got home I told my mom and John that Jack was coming over, they were happy to see me dating.
"Jane, I'm so happy for you, is Jack a nice guy?" my mom asked.
"Yes mom he is" I said while looking for the perfect outfit.
"Jane, I would like to speak to Jack" John said sounding protective.
"Why?"
"Because we need to know who you're going out with" he said taking my mom out with him.
"We are going to be in the kitchen if you need us" my mom said with a smile. I smiled back and went back to the closet.
It was around 6:55pm, I looked outside the window and saw a car parked in front of my house...the same car that was parked in front of my house the day I first saw Alexander.
Not him again.
I heard a knock on the door, I turned around and saw my mom. "Jack is here" she said heading downstairs.
I grabbed my coat and headed downstairs to see Jack talking to my parents. I walked up to Jack and tap him on the shoulder. He turned around and smiled.
"Ready to go?" I asked.
"Yeah" I looked at my mom and she smiled, then at John, he smiled and nodded.
I grabbed Jack's hand and took him outside the house.
"Were they interrogating you?" he chuckled and shock his head. "Not really, it's typically for them to ask questions, they want to know who I am and where I was taking you"
I laughed. "Yeah, that sounds like interrogating to me" He opened the door of his car so I could get in. I looked at the other side of the street and the car that was parked there was not there anymore.
I froze for a minute. "Jane are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine, let's go" he nodded and got in the car as well.
After a few minutes we were in front of the movie theater.
We got a popcorn and went inside the theater room. After a few minutes into the movie I couldn't help but to feel a strange sensation going through me; I feel watched, I turned around but I saw nothing.
I feel like such an idiot, I'm getting paranoid and Jack does not deserve that. I wonder if our relationship is going to work at all.
He placed his arm around me and held me protectively the whole time, I snuggle closer to him, not wanting him to let go.
After the movie was over, Jack turned his face to face mine and smile. I felt safe with him, and I knew that everything was going to be okay.
"Jane" he whispered.
"Yes"
He leaned closer slowly, giving me time to pull back, but I didn't. I wasn't going to turn away from him, not now.
He leaned closer, our faces inches apart, my breathing accelerating, the noises of people going out of the room were present, but I didn't bother to turn around.
I closed my eyes and felt his soft lips touch mines, our lips moved at the same rhythm. There was something in me telling me that I shouldn't be doing this, but I didn't care. Jack was a nice guy, he deserved to be happy and I do too deserve a second chance.
We heard a loud noise coming from the door and we pulled away gasping for air.
"I think we should go" Jack said with a smirk on his face. I giggled and nodded.
He grabbed my hand as we headed outside the movies. "Where do you want to go now?"
"I don't know, how about we take a walk?" He nodded and we started walking along the park. We started walking through the park, the trees moving as the wind would pass by them, leaves falling down from them and the sound of the wind as it hit my face. There was something in the wind, something that I couldn't quite explain. I looked up and saw Jack looking around; he could feel it too.
"Jane...something is wrong" he whispered while putting his arm around me.
"What's wrong?"
"I don't know...maybe we should go back, this place gives me the creeps"
I nodded and we headed back to my house.
We were now outside the front door of my house. "Thanks for everything, I had fun"
"Yeah, me too"
"I'll just see you on Monday then" he nodded, not meeting my eyes.
"Is something wrong?"
"No...nothing is wrong, I just feel this presence....it must be nothing"
"Ok"
"Jane, do you really want me to go to California with you guys?"
"Of course Jack, why wouldn't I?"
"I don't know....okay, you should go inside now; I'll see you Monday"
I nodded and open the door, Jack turned around ready to leave.
"Jack?"
He turned around and I immediately gave him a kiss. "Good Night"
He smiled. "Good Night" I enter the house and I was immediately stopped by the people standing in front of me.
The Roberts.
Alexander's parents and Alexander himself were standing in the hall talking to my parents.
What else could go wrong now?
