Vanitas POV
I was walking through the hallway going to the cafeteria. I walked inside and the students started to stare at me. I ignore them and was about to fall in line when they all make way for me.. okay? They're acting weird today.. I ignored them again and proceed to order my food..
"I'll buy this, this and this" I said pointing at the food I ordered.. The lady nod her head nervously and hurriedly prepare my order.. She gave me my order and I turned around..
But when I turned, I saw 4 girls offering me some gifts.. what is this??
"what are these for?" I asked them
The girls gulped and smiled nervously
"We-well.. We have this kind of thing at school that anyone will give their gifts to your idols who got in the next round" The girl said in blonde hair
I blinked my eyes two times.. I thought all of em hate me?
"Well.. you may seem mysterious, creepy and scary but.. We idol you Vanitas so please accept our gift!" Said the blue haired girl
wait.. I saw them before..
"Wait.. are you the girl I scold before?" I asked the blonde girl
She smiled at me shyly and looked down
"Y-yeah.. Im sorry about that.. I got hit in the head when you scold me so I just want to apologize.. So please accept our gift" She said sincerely and looked at me
I dont know what to say since they are 4 and the people are staring at us.. I scratched my head and sighed
"Okay?" I said unsure and accept their gifts.. They're face lighten up and smiled at me
"Yeeey!" They scream in unison.. I was still standing there holding a bag of gifts and one paper bag of my food.
"Thank you Vanitas! Good luck! Hope you win!" They said and stormed out of the room
I was still stuck in my place and it still cant register in my mind
"I cant believe he accepted it.. I expect him to just walk away and ignore them.."
"Yeah.. maybe we just judged him too much?"
I expected myself to ignore them too but.. I looked at the gifts.. I dont know why I didnt ignore them.. this is not me!
I started to walk and I exit the cafeteria.. I went to the rooftop.. It's peaceful here and no one will disturb me eating.. I sat down and started to eat while staring at the view.. When I finished eating I looked at the bag with 4 gifts.. I started to open it.. I got a black shirt with a hoodie.. Black pants.. some shoes and a watch!.. Okay? This is my first time receiving a gift.. I put it back and stand up
"So you already got gifts?" A girl said behind me so I turned to face her.. She gave me a sweet smile
"Ah yeah.." I said and nod.. Xion came closer to me
"That's great! Here I got one for you too" She said excitedly and gave me a gift.. My eyes widen.. Wait, she gave me a gift? Does that mean she idolized me?
"Dont just stare at it..take it" She shake the gift in front of me so I took it
"ah thanks?" I managed to say..Why am I being so kind to her now?
" you're welcome! You can open it now" She said
I opened it and I saw a necklace with a pendant of a heart and two keyblades forming an X inside it.. I like it actually and I smiled a little.. I noticed that Xion's face is close to mine so I back away and gave her a Wtf face.. she laughed
"Oh sorry.. It's just..I saw you smile! Can you smile again?? please??" She said and shown me her puppy eyes.. aaah!
"N-no! I didnt smile! You're just imagining it!" I said but she shook her head
"oh cmon Vanvan!" She was about to come close to me until we heard the MC spoke through the speaker
"Listen to all spectators and strugglers! We'll be starting after 3 minutes! Now hurry up! We'll be having our 2nd round!!"
She looked at me and sighed
"Let's go Vanitas!" She said and walked away so I followed her
3RD PERSON POV
The 2nd round is about to start they are now shuffling the pictures of the students who passed on the 2nd round.. They dont know who will be their opponent since they made it random.. The shuffle stopped and in the screen are shown who will battle each other..
Prince VS Jake
Ron VS Namine
Tears VS Vanitas
Xion VS Ventus
"Alright! We got our 1st battle in the second round! Prince VS Jake!!"
(A/N) Let's just fast forward
The 1st battle was fierce but Prince won.. Now it's the battle of Namine and Ron..
They gave the start signal so they both unleashed their energy.. Ron has the power of wind.. He summoned a katana but it is covered with light meaning it wont give you a bloody experience..
Namine summoned her keyblade and light is around her.. her notebook is floating around her but its inside a sphere of light
Ron sliced his katana in the air aiming at Namine then a sharp gust of wind is going on her way.. She used her notebook and the pen was moving all by itself, drawing a wall of crystal.. before the attack will hit her the wall appeared infront of her blocking the wind attack.. The pen moved again and this time it draw a broken wall.. the wall broke into big pieces she quickly hits one and it is now charging towards Ron.. She hit the pieces again and again while Ron tries to dodge the big pieces of the crystal wall.. It's big and if you're hit then you'll be a squashed potato!
Ron was quick because he has the wind element..He made a tornado coming to Namine.. She stared blankly at the tornado coming to her.. She summoned a bow and arrow weapon that is made of crystal.. She focused and aim it at the direction where Ron is ..
Ron saw what she's doing but he smirked because he expect that the arrow will be absorbed by the powerful tornado but he's wrong..
Namine fired it and it was fast as lightning.. it passed through the tornado and before Ron could even see it he was already hit.. When the arrow hit him it shattered but a blue crystal light covered his body.. he got paralyzed and unable to move.. Namine is now infront of him staring at him blankly.. She snapped her finger and he fell asleep.
"Namine wins!" The crowd cheered for her.. She snap her finger again and the light began to fade.. Ron woke up and she helped him to get up.. She is now back to her usual self and smiled at the guy.. Ron was amused by her beauty. Namine walked away and teleported to the strugglers room..
Her friends congratulate her
"You finally made it!" Kairi said in excitement
"Namine.. that was awesome!" Roxas cheered also with a grin
Namine looked at him and smiled blushing.. They teased Roxas again because Namine is allergic to him.
"Now it's Tears Park VS Vanitas Evans!" The crowd screamed so loud
"Ready Bad boys?? Begin!"
Electricity is showing up around Tears' body and he summoned a keyblade.. Tears is a Pure Lightning User..
Vanitas summoned his keyblade and darkness is around his body.. The two charged and attack each other.. They are fast while swinging their keyblade and dodging each others attack.. The crowd was amused on how they both fight.. Tears back away and electricity started to flow in his keyblade.. He hits it on the ground and a shockwave was made and is now going to the direction where Vanitas is standing..
It's big and it has electricity around it.. He gritted his teeth because it is unable to be dodged, he cant use his dark portal because his energy is not enough to make one.. He charged his keyblade with dark energy and did what Tears did.. The ground cracked like an earthquake did this but it cracked fast with dark energy spreading out going to the direction of the shockwave.. The two power clashed and it explode.. Vanitas saw a glimpse of light coming on his way so he quickly dodged the lightning bolt.. He threw a dark ball at Tears but he dodged it.. Vanitas floats in the air and summons many dark balls around Tears.. It was so many that you'll just sleep than counting it.. The crowd's jaw drop.. This is one of Vanitas' best skill.. He controlled the dark balls and tries to hit Tears..
The guy gritted his teeth .. Electricity is flowing through his hands and he summon a different weapon on his left arm.. He tried to block all of the dark ball.. He is a little tired but he still fights.. He didnt noticed one ball at his back so he was hit.. He felt the pain and he's been hit with the dark balls.. He felt the pain but he tried his all might to unleash another blow..
He is now glowing brighter and brighter, meaning he is recharging. When he felt it's ready, he unleashed a powerful explosion and the dark balls disappeared.
Self Destruct
Fire and Lightning elements can learn this.. It is powerful especially if the enemy is close by.. It can only be used in critical condition.. It will cause small damage to the user but 45% he is recharged
Smoke is everywhere and Tears is exhausted. He looked around to see where Vanitas is and he saw a shadow walking towards him.. He prepared himself for what will happen.. Vanitas appeared and walked closer to Tears..
Dark Electricity is starting to show up in his right hand.. He created a ball of dark void.. He throw it at his opponent.
Tears is preparing to dodge but as the attack gets closer amd closer the ball became bigger and bigger.. He still tried to escape but he felt the pain in his right leg.. In the end, he lost.
The others cant accept it but some of the students are amazed. The two boys went back to the room.
"Hey Ventus." His twin brother called him
"Yeah?"
"Dont go too hard on her" Roxas warned
"Oh sure! I'll be light as a feather!" Ventus said with a reassuring smile
The two friends are now in the field and the MC shout "Begin!"
Ventus unleashed light energy and summoned his weapon while Xion unleashed her dark energy.. She summoned her keyblade
"Hey, I wont go easy on ya!" Xion shouted
Ventus just smiled and nervously laughed.. Xion was the first one to attack and Ven dodged it. He tried to use a combo but Xion used reflect shield. He was surprised that Xion know this skill.. The girl smirked
Ventus was hit because of the counter attack of the reflect shield. Xion charged her weapon and aim it at Ven.. She fires a thread of light but Ventus dodged it, Xion moved her hand to move the thread where the boy is.. Ventus didnt expect it so he got hit.
"Veeen! Why you're not fighting?!" The crowd shouted..Ventus just scratched his head
How can I fight back when she keeps charging in with combo attacks and surprise attacks?
He said in his mind
"Cmon Ven! Im getting bored! Get serious will you?" Xion shouted
"but.."
"alright if you dont get serious then I wont give you some Krispy Chips!!" Xion shouted again
Ven's ears just heard the most wonderful name!
Krispy Chips!!!
He said in his mind again.. He looked at her with eyes widen and goofily smiled.. The crowd laughed while Roxas facepalmed..
"Oh no.. " He said
Ven became serious but he wont forget what his brother said.. Dont go too hard on her
He summoned two gravity balls and fires it at Xion.. She tried to dodge it but the balls chased her.. Her eyes widen as she got hit by the attack.. Ventus summoned a ball of light and throw it to her.. She tried to dodge but she noticed she's moving slowly.. She cursed..
Gravity ball is for gravity users.. It chases its enemy and slows them down when hit
Xion saw the other attack coming her way..She stopped from running coz it's still useless.. She cant use reflect shield coz its still her cooldown.. She closed her eyes and the attack hit her
The ball of light scattered in her body and a light embraced her.. It didn't seem to hurt her but she's feeling weak..
Energy Drain is the attack Ventus used
Xion tried to fight back so she used her void explosion.. A large ball of darkness suddenly appeared at the side of Ventus and explode.. The boy was blown away and hit the ground. Xion began to feel even weaker.. The light around her body wont fade away.. She aimed her keyblade at Ven.. She used all her energy and fires a laser of light but it didn't reached Ven's direction coz it faded..
"The more you attack the more your energy will be drained" Ventus said shrugging..
Xion fell down on the ground.. She is very exhausted now and she cant fire another attack.. The MC started to count.. If it reaches 10 and you didnt get up then you lose
"...8 9 10! Ventus wins!" The MC said and the crowd shouted.. Ven walked over to where Xion is and he extends his arms.. she took it and stand up, they went back to the room together and rest.. The healer came and aided them.
"I will never encourage you when we battle, ever again!" Xion said and they both laughed
"We have 4 more strugglers!! it is 4pm in the afternoon and we will finish the freshmen battle event tonight!!" The Mc said and the crowd scream again
"Let's have a 10mins break for now.. Healers, you may recharge the remaining strugglers now"
The healers went in to the Strugglers room and started recharging them. When they're done they went out of the room.
Vanitas stared at Xion while she is talking to her friends.. He felt a beat in his chest so he put his right hand there
Why is this beating? I thought it died
He said to himself.. He looked at Xion again, the girl is also staring at him and smiled when their gaze met.. He looked away and stand up, he exited the room and go to the bathroom. He washed his face and stared at the mirror, tiny drops of water are falling from his face..
Im starting to feel again. a different feeling and it felt.. nice
He shake his head a little and wiped his face. He went out of the room and went back to the room
"Okay! 10mins is up!"
They watched the screen waiting who will be their opponent
Prince VS Ventus
Vanitas VS Namine
Kairi and the others eyes widen.. Namine was shock and looked at Vanitas.. He gave her a bored look and went back to the bench
"Good luck Namine! I know you'll do great!" Ventus said.. Roxas hit his head
"Do great?? It's like you're saying better luck next time!" Roxas stared at Namine and smiled
"You can do it Namine, You're powerful! Win it" Roxas cheered her smiling while Namine is red as a tomato
"A-ahmm..th-thanks Roxas." She said and they laughed
She stared at Vanitas again
I can do it.. I wont back down
She said trying to calm herself
