Jongin thought he felt his entire body go numb when they got the news.
Congratulations, you're having twins.
Jongin had just started really processing the fact that they were going to be parents. And now here they were being told that not only were they having one baby, no they were having two.
He looked at Taemin and found the same expression that he knew was on his face mirrored back at him. Disbelief. Complete and utter disbelief.
Jung Ah was looking at them with the same expression, except her's was mixed with a look of excitement. And Jongin made sure to ask why she looked so thrilled once they were back in his car. Taemin and Jongin had drove to the doctors office in separate cars - Taemin having to go back to the studio as soon as the appointment was over, while Jongin was driving Jung Ah home since she had been dropped off by Sehun.
"So why are you looking so happy? That means two babies you have to give birth to."
"Because this way you all get to have two kids. You went from not having any and not sure you'd ever get to have any, to now you're going to have two. Of course I'm happy, Nini."
"I think I'm in shock." Jongin said, shaking his head. "Of course Taemin has to be so good at everything that he manages to knock you up twice."
"When you put it that way, you really make it sound like something went on that didn't."
Jongin laughed, "Okay - that his sperm manages to knock you up twice. I just... I can't believe we're having twins."
"You all going to be able to handle two babies?"
"I mean we'll have to figure out some way to handle two kids. Cause we kind of already have them, can't exactly go back now. Can we?"
Jung Ah laughed, smacking Jongin's arm gently. "No, you can't go back now. For the record, I knew it was a possibility that it was going to be twins. That's what they had told me that we would check the next time I was here - I didn't want to tell you in case that wasn't the outcome, I didn't want to get your alls hopes up on something that wasn't a certain. They had told me that my levels were looking more like twins, but that it could just be nothing."
"You could have told me. We were so worried that something was wrong with the baby... never would have guessed that it would actually be babies."

"Twins though." Jongin said as soon as he walked through the door to their house, spotting the older man sitting on the couch.
"I know. It's crazy." Taemin replied, shaking his head as he looked over at Jongin. "I can't wait."
Jongin sat down beside Taemin, laughing lightly. "I just can't believe we're going to be going from just a family of two to a family of four in one go."
Taemin laughed, leaning over and pressing a kiss to Jongin's cheek. "You look like you're about to run."
"Thought about it." Jongin said jokingly, looking over at Taemin with a smile. "But I figured you'd know where I was and come find me and drag me back."
"You got that right." Taemin said, smiling widely. "You are completely stuck with me, babe."
"No where else I'd rather be." Jongin said, shaking his head. "However can I bring the conversation back to the fact that that means two children we have to take care of and like make sure they turn out to be decent human beings?"
"We'll manage it somehow. I'm sure our children will turn out amazing, just like their father - meaning you."
"And their other father - which is of course you."
Taemin smiled, "I love you."
"I love you too."

It had been a couple days since they had gotten the news and honestly Jongin still couldn't believe that they were going to be having twins. And the fact that they still hadn't shared the news with any of their group members was starting to become an inconvenience when it came to conversation about what they had been up to recently.
Jongin momentarily tripped over his words when Baekhyun had asked what they had been doing recently. "Nothing much, Baek. Just mainly been sitting around the house, kinda getting used to our new boring life."
Baekhyun looked over at him for a second before nodding slightly. "Alright then. I just find it hard to believe that you and Taem haven't gotten up to anything recently."
"Other than the vacation we took to LA with Sehun and Jung Ah, we've just been sitting around the house - Taemin's been practicing for his next comeback."
Baekhyun raised an eyebrow, "What did you all do on vacation anyway? Sehun wouldn't say much about the vacation when he got back to the dorm."
"Went to the beach, hung around the hotel, went shopping, swam in the hotel pool." He replied, shrugging. "The whole vacation was mainly just for some time away from the spotlight that we have over here. It's easier to blend in over in LA."
"You all planning to move there like the internet thought?" Chanyeol asked, walking into the room. "I'm just asking cause that was an extremely long vacation - you all were gone for well over a month maybe even closer to two."
Jongin shook his head, "No of course not. We just wanted to make sure we enjoyed the different atmosphere, plus we all had free time in our schedules and thought it would be worth it to just have the time away to ourselves."
Chanyeol nodded, small smile on his face. "I get it. You and Taem have been Dispatch's favorite news to report on ever since you guys came out - I feel like everywhere I turn I'm seeing articles that have you all either about to marry or on the brink of breaking up, I couldn't do it if it was me in your alls position. So if a couple months in America were what you all needed as a refresher, then by all means take it."
"Thanks Yeol."
"Plus it got our supposed-to-be bachelor party boy Sehun to admit that he's in a committed relationship. So that's a plus. The world seemed to take it well too."
"Seems like they just wanted to know if I approved of the relationship. Which of course I do - begrudgingly but I still do."
Chanyeol and Baekhyun both laughed, Chanyeol nodded. "You would have preferred me as a potential brother-in-law right?"
"I don't know, Yeol. I think I'd approve of all of you about the same."

It was late when Jongin got home, having spent most of the day locked in a practice room with the rest of EXO. He quietly made his way through the house, trying not to disturb Taemin if he happened to already be asleep.
As soon as he walked through the door to the bedroom, he spotted his boyfriend-shaped lump in the bed - rolling over to look at the door.
"Hey." Taemin said, stretching slightly.
"Hey - sorry if I woke you up."
Taemin shook his head, while Jongin got into their bed. "Don't worry about it, I'm glad you did. I haven't gotten to see you all day." He said, pulling Jongin down to where he could connect their lips.
Jongin put a hand on either side of Taemin, "I missed you today."
"Missed you too."
"What did you do today?"
Taemin shrugged, "Sat around - played on the piano for a while. Talked to Kibum on the phone. Not much."
"How's Kibum doing?"
"He's doing good, said he wants to meet up with us for dinner or lunch sometime soon."
Jongin nodded, kissing Taemin again. "That sounds good to me. It's been so long since I've seen Kibum."
Taemin hummed slightly, fingers tracing against the back of Jongin's neck.
"What are you thinking about?" Jongin asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Just a little bit of everything."
"Anything you want to talk about?"
Taemin readjusted on the bed, "It's nothing really. Just thinking about everything - I still can't believe we're going to have kids, not telling Key about that was weird as hell today. Like he asked how we were doing and how our trip was, and the first thing I wanted to say was that the trip was amazing and that we just found out we're expecting twins. And I couldn't, not yet at least."
"Yeah it's weird to not be telling anyone right now."
"I still agree with our plan to wait a while, I'm not trying to say we should tell Key earlier than everyone else or anything. I'm just saying it was weird to hide why we went to America."
Jongin nodded, "I get it. Completely. Baek, Yeol, and I were all talking today before everyone else got there and it was really strange not to share something that big with everyone you know. They're all practically my brothers and for them to not know that we are going to be parents is crazy to me, but like you said - I want to wait until it's a little safer to tell everyone. We're still early on right now. We'll tell everyone soon enough. As soon as it seems safe enough to do so and Key can be the first person we tell if you want."

get to. My longest fic on here
before this one is like 15 chapters,
50 was something I really didn't think
I'd get to. So I just wanted to
