You were bored and frustrated.
You were a newborn vampire.
Elena had accidently turned you.
You hated her for it.
You hated being a vampire.
You hated everything.
Stefan was trying to teach you control.
You were getting angry because he kept on comparing you to Elena.
You were trying your best to learn, but you didn’t pick things up that fast.
You liked Stefan, but Stefan was just starting to accept the fact that Elena had left him for Damon.
Just as Stefan went on another rant about how you weren’t doing it right and how Elena understood what to do quickly, you snapped.
“How about you shut up about Elena?” You hissed, “I’m not Elena. I’m Y/N.”
“And that’s the problem!” Stefan exclaimed, “You’re not her.”
You were taken aback.
“And I never will be,” you said, starting to walk away.
“Where are you going?” Stefan asked.
“I won’t compete with someone else,” you said, using your new vamp speed to go to the Mystic Grill.
You got a drink and drank it contently.
At least until a girl cut herself on a broken glass and left the bar.
You couldn’t help but smell the blood.
And you were so very hungry.
You paid and followed her out.
She walked into the woods to your convenience.
You vamp speeded behind her and bit into her neck, covering her mouth to shush her screams, drinking quickly and deeply.
But you were yanked off and pinned against a tree.
Stefan was in front of you and you tried to fight against him, but his hold was strong.
“Y/N, calm down. Please. Relax,” He soothed you.
You gained your control back and looked at the girl you had attacked.
“Oh God. Is she dead?” you asked, sinking to your knees.
Stefan let you go and checked the girl’s pulse.
“No. I’ll take care of her, stay here,” Stefan ordered, disappearing.
You curled your knees to your chest and stayed against the tree.
Stefan returned.
“Why did Elena do this to me? Why did she turn me into this… thing? I don’t even know what I am anymore,” you growled.
Stefan took your hand.
“You’re Y/N. You’re beautiful, rebellious, stubborn, and a tomboy. Not to mention, a total badass. You’re nothing like Elena, and that is absolutely amazing. You’re stronger and better than her. I know I’ve been a total dick, and I’m sorry,” Stefan said, leaning closer.
“What are you saying?” you asked, confused.
“I’m saying I want to be with you. And only you,” he smiled, kissing you.
You kissed back.
After a while, you both pulled away.
“Yeah, I think I can handle that.”
