Instead of you keeping the pregnancy from him, he was keeping it from you.

You and the Doctor had done “it” after you almost died.

Since that night, he had tried his best to avoid you and keep thing professional.

He also avoided all attempts at conversation about what happened.

The TARDIS scanned you one day and showed the Doctor.

What didn’t make sense was how you could be pregnant when you were both a different species.

But weirder things had happened.

You walked around like you didn’t have a care in the world, but what he didn’t realize was you were hurt.

It was almost like he had rejected you.

Or maybe he used you.

Your mind could be a dark place when you were alone.

It seemed like whenever you tried to talk to him about anything, he would run away.

You didn’t like being ignored like that.

You would rather he just tell you he didn’t like you.

One day, you decided you had enough.

“Doctor, please take me home,” You requested.

His head snapped up at you, shocked.

“But… Why, Y/N?” he asked.

“I just want to go home,” you sighed.

“I don’t want to lose you, Rose,” the Doctor said.

You froze and so did he.

He had called you Rose.

The name of his companion before you.

The one who had had both of his hearts.

But she was now in another dimension with his clone.

“Y/N, -,” The Doctor began.

“Home,” you repeated.

“Y/N, I’m afraid I can’t let you leave,” he winced.

“What? Why not?” You gasped.

“You’re pregnant. I got you pregnant,” he said slowly.

Your eyes widened.

“What?” You squeaked.

You turned your back to him.

You didn’t want him to see the tears running down your cheeks.

He wrapped his arms around your waist and buried his face in your neck.

“I am so sorry. That’s why I’ve been avoiding you. Because I was afraid you would hate me,” he murmured.

You turned around to look at him.

“I love you,” you whispered.

“I love you, too,” he whispered back.

He pressed a living kiss to your lips before putting his hands on your stomach.

“We’re going to be great parents,” he said.

“Yes we are.”
