Lillian smiled as she watched Killian and Henry fight on the Jolly Roger. Henry had been practicing a lot with his grandfather, father and step-father. She sat on the rail as Henry pointed the blade at Hook, smirking.
'' 'Always watch the blade.' I got it.''
''Wow. I'm impressed. You fight like your grandfather.''
''Mom, we're practicing.''
''Actually, we just finished.'' Hook snatched the sword from Henry before pushing him down onto a small bench and walking to his wife. ''Like I told you... always keep your eye on the blade.''
When Lillian had walked up to him and extended her arm to pull him up, he slapped her hand away. ''What's the point? I'm never gonna be good enough.'' He walked to the end of the ship, leaving a frowning Lillian with her hand still extended to an invisible man.
''What's going on with him lately?''
''I think you know, Emma. He's almost grown.''
'' He's about to leave home, isn't he? -- I'm gonna go talk to him.''
Lillian rolled her eyes at the two adults on the ship, leaving the ship by herself as she let them do the talking.
--------Once upon in Seattle--------
Sophie pushed the covers off herself, looking over to Hunter's bed, which was already empty. He was getting tickets for the both of them to see Lucy's ballet recital. She walked downstairs as she grabbed a piece of toast, giving a slight smile to her grandfather.
''Thanks ... '' Weaver gave her a soft nod back, taking apiece of toast himself as well.
''I'm going to be late tonight, I have a new partner.'' Sophie gave a soft nod at him. ''So it's just you and Hunter tonight, so don't wait.''
''Okay ... '' Sophie slightly rolled her eyes at her grandfather as he walked out of their house.
''I promise you... You will see Lucy tonight.'' Sophie had walked into the cafe, frowning at the words when she looked at Jacinda and Sabine. ''Check it out. WorkBunny. It's an app for part-time jobs. Look at all these gigs. You can organize closets, fix a car.''
''None of that will pay 550.''
''Yeah, no, I know, but, you know, like, cumulatively.''
''By tonight?'' Her head turned up when she saw the teenager walking their way, giving her a sad smile as she did so. ''Hey Sophie.''
''Hey, what's this about?''
''Belfrey made the prices for Lucy's ballet 550 bucks.'' Sophie her eyes widened at that, how would someone who wasn't rich be able to afford that?
''If you want, I can spot you?''
''No, I won't take charity.''
''Hey.'' The three woman turned their heads to look at a tall man with brown hair, Sabine and Sophie both frowning at him before Jacinda sighed.
''Oh, this is Henry.'' Sabine spoke just over a whisper before jumping out of her seat. ''I got to hop. You've got five.''
Henry sighed loudly as he turned to Jacinda, his eyes set in a pleading matter. ''Look, what I did yesterday was wrong. I should've just said "I'm sorry." So, this is me trying to apologize.''
''I don't need apologies. I need to see Lucy. And thanks to you, that now costs 550 dollars.''
''Well, if you need cash, I could help with that. I make okay money driving Swyft.''
''She won't listen, trust me on tat.''
''Do not do that. Do not come in here trying to save me.''
''No, I wasn't trying to save you -- I know.''
''Lucy may believe in fairy tales, but I don't.'' Jacinda grabbed all her stuff as Sophie was trying to calm her down a bit, knowing it was of no use. ''I'm not a damsel waiting for a prince. I can earn my own money. She's my daughter. I'll figure this out, fix what you broke.''
''Jacinda, that's not fair.''
''Not fair is being separated from your kid.''
''I am sorry.''
''My break's over. I've got chicken to sell.'' After a small brake, she sighed as she slung her purse over her shoulder. ''And a ballet to attend.''
Henry turned to look at the teenager, something about her was so familiar, but he couldn't quite place it just yet. ''Is she always that stubborn?''
''Sadly enough, she is.'' She turned her head to him, a smile plastered on her face as she extended her arm. ''I'm Sophie by the way.''
''Oh Hunter's sister?'' Sophie nodded at that as she placed her bag next to her side, motioning to the seat next to her. ''Thanks.''
''So you live with your grandfather?'' After a nod from Sophie, he turned his head slightly, not knowing if he should go on with the question.
''I don't know.'' After a small 'what' she chuckled at him. ''My parents, everyone always asks.'She raised her shoulders in a small motion. ''I don't know what's going on with them, never met them or anything. I just know they had me and Hunter when they were teens and my grandfather took us in.''
''Do you have a picture of them?'' She gave a small nod as she searched through her bag, passing it to Henry. A girl with bright blue eyes and curly black hair stared at Henry, next to her was a boy who looked similar to Luna, he had green eyes and brown hair. The two of them seemed happy, but when he looked closer he saw some of their specific features. The girl had a scar right on her cheek. ''She's pretty.''
Sophie pursed her lips together, softly nodding at the words. ''Yeah, she is.'' She looked at the photograph for another second chuckling at it. ''It's weird to see though. I'm basically my father except for the eyes, Hunter the same but with our mom.'' Henry gave a small nod at her words as she tugged the photo back.
After setting up a small plan for Henry to get okay with Jacinda again, Sophie had met up with Hunter to get Lucy to her ballet. They were standing together as they looked at Jacinda and Lucy having a small moment.
Henry had convinced the owner to get another bartender, himself, and hire two more servers, Jacinda and Sabine. Sophie leaned against the wall as she smiled at them, both of the teenagers giving them a wave when they caught glances of them.
Hunter turned his head for a moment when he caught sight of Victoria Belfrey, frowning at her as she spoke into her phone. ''He's here, get him out of my life.'' Hunter quickly tapped Sophie on her shoulder.
''Eyes open, I think Belfrey is up to something.'' Sophie nodded softly, her eyes roaming all over the room.
Hunter looked outside of the window, frowning when he saw his grandfather with his new partner. What stood out most was that the new partner was his mother's cousin, Hook. He followed their footsteps, his eyes widening when he saw that Hook, or better known as Rogers slipped something into Henry's pocket. Sophie was following their grandfather so he knew to step in.
He looked down on his hand and let a very dim silver come over it as he passed Henry, smirking slightly when he found out that Rogers had slipped in a key chain. Hunter clapped at the end of Lucy's ballet, giving a wave to her before his grandfather took the place in front of the stage.
''Excuse me, ladies and gentlemen. If I can have your attention, please. My name is Detective Weaver. At some point during this event, Ms. Belfrey's bracelet has come up missing. I'd like to ask all paying guests to please remain seated.'' His eyes looked at the two teenagers in the back who were glaring at him. ''Event employees, I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to consent to a quick, non-invasive search.''
''Wait. You're just looking at us?'' Jacinda walked in front of him, Sophie and Hunter both quickly on her heel as they tried to pull her away from their grandfather.
''Step back. You have been warned.''
''Hey! Leave her alone!'' Henry grabbed Weaver's shoulder, only to be hit in the face by an elbow before Hunter rushed to him, Sophie pulling Jacinda away.
''Do not touch a peace officer.'' He yelled out rather loudly, Hunter stepping in front of Henry as he glared at Weaver. ''In fact, turn out your pockets.'' Henry scoffed at him. ..Are you listening to me? Turn out your pockets...
''Okay.'' He scoffed again, knowing nothing would be in there. When his hand reached into a pocket, a clicking sound was heard. ''Oh, w...'' He exhaled sharply as he looked at Hunter and Sophie before looking at Waver again. ''Well, I have no idea how... '' He stuttered softly, taking his hand out of his pocket and frowning. ''This is my key chain.''
Hunter and Sophie looked at each other, smirking slightly as they held their heads high.
