~Alex's POV~
I was out for a birthday lunch with my brother, Joshua. After ordering our food, we finally took the time to catch up.
"So you guys got new members huh?" Joshua started a conversation.
"Yup." I nodded. "They said they get more in between every comeback."
"How many did you get?"
"Six. Three boys, three girls. Two sets of siblings and almost all of them were foreign."
"You guys get a lot of those."
"Yeah we do." I snickered. "I'm just glad I'm not considered a new member anymore."
Joshua and I both snickered. We continued chatting and catching up before and during our meal. As we were eating, my phone went off. I looked to see it was our manager in our group chat.
Emergency meeting, meet at the practice room in 30 minutes
"Ugh." I groaned.
"What is it?" Joshua asked.
"Emergency meeting. Let's wrap this up. We have to leave in 15 minutes."
Being his usual go-with-the-flow self, Joshua didn't complain or mind that we had to rush the rest of our meal. He understood and quickly finished eating, as did I. Joshua paid since it was my birthday and we left the restaurant 10 minutes before we needed to be there and the practice room was about 17 minutes away. While in the car I texted the group chat that I was going to be a little late. Once we arrived, Joshua got out of the taxi and started walking into the practice room.
"Joshua, what are you doing?" I stopped him.
"I want to see your members." He replied.
"But I'm already late, I don't want to get into anymore trouble."
"Trust me, you won't."
Joshua grinned before turning around and walking inside. I sighed and followed him in, only to be surprised.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALEX!!"
In one large group was all of Royal Colors, my other friends from the company, my 97-line friends, as well as the rest of Seventeen. The whole practice room was decorated with birthday decorations as well as other silly decorations that matched my style.
"Oh my god~" I smiled.
"Happy Birthday bro!" Joshua put one arm around me.
"You knew about this?" I asked my brother.
"Of course!" He exclaimed.
"Okay hyung, you had a enough time with the birthday boy." Seventeen's Mingyu stepped out. "Let us have some time with him."
I snickered as I hugged my closest friend from Seventeen. I greeted everyone who came as well as thanking them. Right away they sang happy birthday to me and we enjoyed the rest of the day hanging out. Overall, I found it to be a touching birthday.

~Takashi's POV~
I was enjoying my small, yet big since Royal Colors isn't exactly a small group, birthday party. I didn't really want to have one but everyone told me they would have thrown me one no matter what and if I was going to have one, I'd at least want it to be how I wanted it so I just went with it. To be honest, it has been rough for me lately. It's my first birthday with Royal Colors and I guess it was making me miss my actual family.
I had walked out of the 3rd conversation in one hour and I guess that initiated for something to happen. Kaoru stopped the music and shouted as loud as she could to get everyone's attention.
"If everyone could sit down and quiet down please." She said.
I tried to find a way to get away since I knew what she was doing was going to be for me.
"Nope, birthday boy, you come up here." Kaoru said.
I sighed but walked up to Kaoru, turning to face everyone else. Kaoru put one arm around me and rested her hand on my opposite shoulder from the side she was standing on.
"Us RC members prepared something for you." Kaoru said to me.
"Of course you did." I sighed.
We all heard a screeching noise and looked over to see Hikaru and A.D bringing out a projector on wheels.
"We know you've been a little down lately so we prepared this hoping this would at least cheer you up a little bit." Kaoru said. "Go take a seat."
Without saying anything, I took a seat in the front. Hikaru and A.D set up a projector while Kaoru rolled down a screen we had hung up on one of the walls. They turned on the projector and as soon as the first scene came up, my jaw dropped.
"Takashi bro!!"
On the screen were my best friends from Japan. I was so touched that my jaw dropped.
"We miss our best friend but we know you are living out your dream so we're dealing with it."
"Congrats on your debut, bro! We've been supporting you and Royal Colors ever since we heard you were in it and we can't wait to see more things from you."
"We love you bro and you better make plans with us next time you come home."
"Of course." I spoke as if I was actually talking to them.
"Happy Birthday bro and keep it up!"
My best friends waved bye and next I saw my parents. I covered my mouth, as I started to get emotional.
"Happy Birthday Takashi!" Both my parents smiled.
"We miss you son but we know you are happy." My dad said.
"We're very proud of you son and we have been supporting you through everything, more than you know." My mom said.
I smiled at my mom's touching words.
"We know you must be worried about your sister but we promise you, she's being taken care of. We're looking out for her." My dad continued.
"And she misses you, we all do, so please visit us soon." My mom added, tears in her eyes.
"But in the meantime, keep making us proud." My dad smiled.
"We love you Takashi." My parents said together.
I smiled once more as my parents faded off the screen. The person I saw next was what broke me. I felt my eyes tear up and as she continued to speak, tears streamed down my face.
"Happy Birthday big brother!!" My little sister exclaimed. "I miss you but it's worth it because I know you are happy. I'm proud of you for pursuing your dreams."
I started to ball, causing Daehyun to wrap his arms around me in comfort.
"I know you've been homesick lately but don't be! We're all here cheering you on from home, but most importantly in your heart. Don't let your members down because you are homesick. Keep fighting!"
Everyone, including me, snickered at my sister's cute gestures.
"Also, don't worry about me, because I know you do. I'm doing great, mom and dad are taking care of me well. I'll be sure to come visit soon if you don't hehe. I love you big brother and keep on fighting! Happy Birthday."
My sister ended with a blow kiss and the screen went black as it ended. Everyone coo'ed while I sat there trying to compose myself.
"Happy Birthday Takashi." Kaoru said as she walked back up to the front.
Everyone else said it too and more tears streamed down my face.
"Thank you everyone." I said, sniffling. "This meant a lot. I'm sorry if my homesickness brought down the team's spirit."
"Don't be sorry." Chewy chimed in. "We all feel homesick. Even those of us who aren't from foreign countries."
Everyone nodded in agreement. I smiled before being jumped on by JC.
"Happy Birthday oppa!" She shouted.
Everyone else jumped in and hugged me. They helped me get over my homesickness and really brought up my mood. From that moment forward, I made sure to not let my homesickness get in the way of my team bonding. To sum things up, I don't think my first birthday with RC could have gone better.
~Authors Note~
Hey guys! So I'm really behind in this story but I feel bad skipping birthdays so I'm going to try not to. I'm going to try to get back to writing almost everyday since with the current situation, I'm home all the time and have the time to so hopefully I'll be able to catch up in the next chapter. However, I usually include company staff birthdays in RC but I won't this time since I'm so behind, I'll just include RC members. Anyway, hopefully I'll catch up and have their comeback next chapter. Hope you guys will stay tuned to find out with me XD. See you soon. Biez!
