"It's official sources have confirmed that Milo Manheim and Auden Rose have called it quits after 4 years—-" The sounds of glass crashing made Mason and Owen jump as they stared in shock at the now smashed tv and the broken vodka bottle, laying in parts along the floor.
The apartment fell silent, you could hear the ragged breaths of the very upset 21 year old. His friends turned around to see him as he opened up yet another bottle of vodka pouring yet another shot into a glass.
Milo's eyes were bloodshot opening them as he felt the burn in his throat. It was raw at this point he'd been steadily drinking for a week now, it was officially day 7. The first 48 hours after she left he had drank enough to send him to the ER, completely black out and Auden was called since she of course was still the emergency contact. She never came for him instead she made sure Mason would collect his friend, bringing him back to his apartment. That was one of the problems this was their apartment, except now all her stuff was gone but the countless photos of them remained on the walls for him to see each day.
After Mason discharged Milo from the ER he started taking a shot almost every hour. It was just enough to keep him in a constant state of bitter numbness so he wasn't crying over her photos for hours on end.
"Four years.." His dark laugh caused his two best friends to look up worriedly at each other, they had never seen Milo act like this and honestly didn't know what to do besides watch him to make sure he didn't get caught by paparazzi acting like this.
"I should've known she was never going to stay with me, I was never good enough for that bitch.." Rubbing his eyes he walked over to the wall grabbing another frame before smashing it like he had with countless others. His fingers pulled another one off the wall but before he could smash it his eyes saw her beautiful face standing next to him.
She was absolutely gorgeous but what broke him was how she was looking at him like he was her whole world as he posed for the red carpet they were at. He choked on a sob as it started to bubble up.
Pulling the picture to his chest the tears began to fall again, he was kneeling on the floor in their living room on the stupid rug in front of the stupid fire place. He had made love to her so many times on this rug and now there he was clutching her photo, surrounded by all the things he had destroyed in his rage the past week.

Then again, while Mason and Owen felt horrible for him. They couldn't help but be a tad pissed off at their best friend as well.

"Happy New Year!" Milo drunkly cheered into his girlfriends ear. She couldn't help but laugh, still wondering how he was even able to talk his way past the bouncer that let him into this club.
"And happy birthday baby, 27 years old... we will definitely celebrate that when we get home." Mused the 20 year old as he held his girlfriend up against him, the fireworks exploding in the sky above them. Suddenly the roof was way too crowded and too hot despite it only being 30 degrees outside.
"Mi I can't wait until we get home." Whined Auden, pressing her body flush against her boyfriend. Milo moaned lowly as he felt the all too familiar tightening in his groin. "Fuck it, bathroom?"

Auden sat in shock as she sat on the cold table covered only by the thin scratchy gown provided.
"Now Auden I'm not saying that it's impossible for you to get pregnant however IVF is usually the only success rate we have when it comes to cases like yours.." The doctors voice became distant as panic began to set in. She never would have thought having something like endometriosis was that serious. It became something she was just use to however the last couple months she had been noticing more pain than usual she figured she would bring it up during her annual exam. Things took a turn when she was sent to a specialist. The doctor ordered tests and ultrasounds just to see Auden's Fallopian tubes were beyond damaged and her uterus showed signs of severe inflammation.
"So if I ever want a chance of getting pregnant I have to do it through IVF?"
"Yes however I do have to inform you based on your age and rate of your condition.. you might want to think of doing it sooner rather than later."
"How much sooner?"
"Your 27, so your in your prime for successfully caring a healthy child. With your condition though I would recommend starting the egg collection process now and in my medical opinion I wouldn't suggest waiting any longer than a year to start the implantation and IVF procedures. There are of course chances that you can still bear a child after the age of 28 but it's highly unlikely as your uterus becomes more inflamed. The inflammation can prevent implantation of a fertilized egg and until we see how your body handles one pregnancy there isn't anymore information we can give you." The doctor gave her a couple pamphlets and a prescription for some pills to help with the inflammation to start on. "If you decide to move forward with the hormones and IVF route don't hesitate to call our office."
What was she suppose to do? What about Milo? He was turning 21, he wasn't ready for kids.

Milo fist pumped as a crowd of people screamed, it was his 21st birthday and his friends insisted on taking care of this one. Camryn looked at Auden, while two barely clothed women grabbed Milo by his dress shirt leading him to a chair. "Of course Nick and Will hired strippers.." Auden rolled her eyes, this is what she expected though from the boys. Mason, Owen, Nick and Will had rented out a club in NYC for Milo's 21st birthday.
"Oh this is inappropriate.." Cammy laughed looking away from the scene. "Haha it is funny when he's uncomfortable." Auden thought but then she saw Milo's face as one blonde distracted him with a lap dance and the other handcuffed one of his hands to the arm of the chair for the act.
"Maybe I should have them stop, he's been drinking a lot —"
"—Camryn, you have to let him make his own mistakes." Auden mumbled taking a shot as she watched her boyfriend of 4 years. It's true he had been drinking a lot but since when did that make it okay to cheat, especially in front of his girlfriend?
Technically one of the blondes made the first move, biting his lip before laying a sloppy kiss on his lips.
She saw Owen, Mason, and Will started arguing with Nick about stopping the girls, how they were going too far.
However she didn't let her emotions come out, she was too use to faking a smile for the cameras refusing to make a scene. She rolled her eyes as Milo leaned in for more when the girl pulled away.
Auden finally opened herself up to think about something she kept pushing away.. she had also been drinking so she really shouldn't be thinking about this now but she couldn't help it.

"Milo stop, please stop.." Milo turned her around in his arms to face him. His fingers trembled as he held her face in one hand, his other arm kept her locked against him. Terrified at the idea that if he wasn't holding her she would run and leave him.

"Okay I'm sorry! I guess.. I don't know. You said you were just giving yourself options! I didn't know there was a actual clock on it.."

"Of course I do! You know I only want you.." He saw the eye roll she tried to hide after he finished his sentence. "Wow.. real fucking mature. I made one mistake while I was drunk on my birthday, let it go!"

"Exactly! Things take time, yet here you are trying to force me to have a kid that I don't want!" As soon as the words left his mouth he desperately wanted to take them back.
"Well at least your finally honest.."

The couple has officially hit rocky times, Auden was lost. In a matter of just a couple months she had no idea where she stood. It was like all the years of therapy, learning to love herself and all the trust she had in her boyfriend was shattered.

"Bro I can't believe we are doing this!" Mason was so excited, Milo just smirked as he opened the door to the store. They were at a pretty exclusive jewelry store in the city. "Why didn't you tell me before you were planning on proposing, I had to see it on tv."
"Probably because I didn't think about it until the interviewer suggested it.." Milo chuckled before turning to the receptionist giving her his name for the appointment he made. They told him it would be another 15 minutes since the designer was currently held up with another client, so they went to the seating area to wait.
"Dude.. hold up, hold up you made this decision based off what you told the interviewer?"
"Well it's not like it wouldn't have eventually happened.. look I know I want to spend the rest of my life with her and I know she's been pushing for more of a commitment lately especially with all that baby shit she's been going on and on about. I figured if I proposed now she would be happy enough to back off the baby subject and start planning the wedding. Which I have so much shit lined up for after graduation it will be at least two years before we have the wedding you know she's not going to push the pregnancy until after the wedding.. so that's like 3 or 4 years I just bought myself right there. Happy wife, happy life and it's totally worth whatever this stupid ring is going to cost me.."
Mason looked at his friend horrified, when did he become such a selfish asshole? Before Mason could begin to explain how terrible that was they were calling Milo over for his appointment.

Milo came home after yet another interview for a tv special he was hosting. He was so ready to see his beautiful girlfriend, he even stopped and got her roses on the way home. Smiling down at them before he opened their apartment door, he knew he should do the little things like this more often. However with the holidays coming up and the finishing touches being put on her engagement ring, he was getting excited as it set in. In a matter of seconds that dream shattered along with the vase the roses were in. "Fuck.. what the hell? Hey babe?" He called out, there were boxes by the door that he tripped over dropping the flowers, glass shattering everywhere.

As he swept up the mess he took another look at the stack of boxes by the front door.
What we're they? Milo opened them, his brows furrowed as he pulled out stuffed animals, cards, photos, jewelry in the original boxes.. a pair of car keys.. why were Auden's keys to her Range Rover in a box with all their stuff?
Milo's blood ran cold, wait why were all the gifts and cards he's ever given Auden over the last 17 years packed away in boxes?
"Babe! Baby?" He called again, a sense of urgency in his voice. Quickly standing up, he ran down the hallway his heart thumping loudly in his chest. The panic was setting in, why the fuck wasn't she answering? "Audie?" He croaked finally stumbling into their bedroom.

All of her drawers of the dresser on her side of the room were pulled out and empty, he checked the bathroom, all her make and perfumes were gone. Walking into the closet all of her clothes and suitcases were gone..
His black T-shirt laid on the ground, the one Auden was wearing last night to bed, he grabbed at it. It smelled of her perfume, he felt his throat run dry, the tears prickling his eyes.
"No no no Audie fuck!" Milo punched wall, his fist punching through the drywall. He tried taking deep breaths before pulling his phone out. No way, this.. this wasn't fucking happening.. she promised.
Voicemail, voicemail, voicemail.. she had blocked his number.
"Hey this Auden! (And Milo!!!) Milo be quiet! Leave a message and I'll get back to you."
"Audie? Baby please please answer your phone. Wha-what's going on? I came home and your stuff is gone.."Milo deleted the voicemail, he was a sobbing mess. Realizing he wasn't making sense and finally losing it as the sobs racked through his body.
He hit Masons number, he had to get it together fuck he needed to get it together.
As Mason answered the phone, he lost it again. All he could hear was Milo screaming on the other line.
"She left.. she left m-me.. M-mason.. She's gone."
Milo brought his shirt back to his face, crying into it as he inhaled her perfume. He thought back to last night as he slumped over in their bed.
"Here baby, time for bed." He tossed her one of his black tshirts, her favorite item of his to wear. Milo noticed the way she stared down at it with a unreadable expression. "Audie you okay?" She nodded not meeting his eyes. He took her face in his hands forcing her to meet his eyes.
"I love you so much, I'm sorry I've been the shittiest boyfriend this year. I promise though, I'm going to make up for it." Auden smiled but still it didn't reach her eyes, he missed being able to make his gorgeous girl smile and laugh. He couldn't do anything right these days but he had to show her now, he couldn't go to sleep seeing her so distraught.

Auden was sitting on the exam table, it had almost been two months since she left Milo. It was the hardest thing she had to do but knowing she was about to start another journey kept her from falling apart.
"Thank you for coming with me, I really appreciate it Cammy."
"No matter what you will always be like the daughter I wish Milo was.."
"That really does explain the long hair and all the jewelry.." They laughed thinking of little Milo, he always refused to get his hair cut.
"Alright Miss Rose, before we take you back I just need to do a quick ultrasound, take a couple photos so we have them for your new file."
Auden nodded, laying back and wiggling her jeans down. Her and Cammy talked about where they should go for lunch after when all of a sudden there was a sound emitting from the ultrasound machine. Auden looked over confused until she realized why it sounded familiar.
"Oh my god is that a heart beat?" Camryn held her hand to her face turning to the nurse that looked at the screen, confusion clear on her face.
"Um I.. hold let me get Dr. Dresden!" She ran out the room.
"That means it would be Milo's..." She nodded confirming it with his mother which should've been awkward but it wasn't. "They took out my IUD in March since I had less than a 5% chance of ever naturally getting pregnant..this.. no way this has to be a fluke."
"Alright lets check to see what's happening!" The doctor boomed as he rushed to the machine, picking up the wand and waving it around Auden's still very flat stomach. Suddenly he rotated the small screen next to his monitor, letting the women see what he could.
"Alright congratulations Miss Rose..you are measuring 4-6 weeks, however I'm leaning towards 6 weeks since were detecting a heart beat. We usually don't look for that until 8 weeks but looks like you got a strong little one in there.."

I'm currently in the process of revising and rewriting the book a tad as sometimes I let myself get caught up on pushing chapters out and let the story and quality of writing get away from me.
