Ariana's POV
I grabbed my jacket and tied it around my waist to complete my outfit, it was sunny but it could possibly get colder later on in the day. I walked downstairs and grabbed my bag and left the house with Elena. As always, Bonnie picked us up and drove us to school.
When the three of us walked through the hallways, I smiled when I saw Caroline and Matt hanging out and chatting. They had been hanging out a lot lately, I'm glad that my best friend had moved on from Damon.
"I'm glad she's happy." I said to Bonnie and Elena as we watched Caroline laugh at something that Matt said.
"Yeah, they hang out all of the time now." Bonnie stated. "It's good that Caroline has Matt. She deserves someone like him, and not a creepy vampire serial killer like Damon." Bonnie added.
Yep, Bonnie knew about vampires now.
"Oh, I almost forgot. How are you... Handling that... Information?" I didn't know how to word my question properly.
"Well, at first, I was extremely freaked out. But now, I'm slowly getting used to it." Bonnie responded. I nodded.
---
I was walking with Elena, we both had a free period. We were laughing together and joking around, enjoying ourselves. But suddenly, Elena immediately shut up. I turned towards her, confused, but she was looking at something in front of her.
I followed her gaze and saw what she was staring. Stefan was leaning against one of the buses, smiling softly.
"Uhh, I'll leave. You go talk to him." I whispered to Elena and turned to walk away. But a hand wrapped around my wrist. I rolled my eyes and turned back around.
"No, you're coming with me." Was all Elena said as she began dragging me towards Stefan. We stopped in front of him.
"Hi Elena, Ariana." Stefan greeted us. "Can the three of us talk? It's important."
---
"Another vampire in town!? Really!?" I exclaimed, but it was still quiet enough so no passers by heard me mention the word 'vampire'...
"Yeah. It has to be someone new. If they left a body just lying out there like that, it's either very sloppy work or they did it to send a type of message." Stefan stated. "Look, you need to be careful. Look after eachother." He added. We nodded.
"When we saw you, I thought that you might've come to say goodbye." Elena confessed.
"Not just yet..." Stefan whispered.

Caroline's POV
"Can you hurry up? You're wasting my time!" I said through the phone. I was holding this weird compass thing and I was on the phone to Damon. He wanted me to get the compass, I didn't know why.
"Just be patient, I'm on my way!" Damon responded.
"Well then, get here quicker." I muttered.
"Give it to me." A voice startled me. I turned around and saw Damon. I hung up the phone and passed him the compass.
"I have no idea why you needed me to come and get this, but I've got more important things to do. Can I go now?" I asked, narrowing my eyes at Damon. He looked into my eyes.
"Yes. Drive to wherever you need to be and forget what I asked you to do." He instructed. I smiled.
"Okay! Bye." I flirtatiously said. I waved goodbye and hopped into my car. I saw Damon enter the building that we were stood by. I started up my car and began driving.
I thought that I heard gun shots as I drove around the corner. I ignored it, thinking that I imagined it, and drove to school.

Ariana's POV
I looked around for Caroline, Elena or Bonnie. I saw Elena walking around, she began heading towards where Matt was standing. I couldn't see where Caroline and Bonnie were. I turned around and saw Caroline walking over to me, smiling. I smiled as she reached me. She pulled me into a hug. I hugged back.
"Hey!" She greeted enthusiastically. I had no idea why Caroline was in such a good mood, but she was bubbly and cheerful a lot of the time.
"Hey." I replied. "Where have you been?"
"I don't know, I can't really remember. I guess I've just been around." Caroline stated. I furrowed my eyebrows and slowly nodded. "So, where do you wanna go?"
"I want to look at the art section. Culture and art, I love that stuff." I said, smiling. Out of everyone in our family, Jeremy and I were the artsy ones. I loved to paint and draw, and I was actually good at it.
"Okay, I'll come!" Caroline exclaimed. We headed over to the art section. I saw Jeremy there. "Oh! Um, I'm going to go find Matt." I nodded with a smile and Caroline walked off to go and find Matt. I walked up to Jeremy.
"Hey, Jer." I greeted him.
"Hey, A." Jeremy smiled at me. I looked at what he was looking at.
"Woah. Tyler Lockwood drew that?" I asked, Jeremy nodded.
"Surprising, right? I never knew that he was into art." Jeremy stated. I nodded in agreement. Jeremy smiled at me once, waved goodbye, and walked off. I turned and saw Stefan stood there. Will I ever get one second alone?
"Hey, Stefan." I mumbled.
"Hi, Ariana, have you seen Elena anywhere?" Stefan questioned. I shrugged.
"Not for a while. Last time I saw her, she was talking to Matt." I told him. He nodded, mumbled a 'thank you', and then walked off.
This whole 'plan the path to your future' event was pretty interesting.
I hung around the art section a little longer. Tyler did some amazing work. After that, I moved on to look at some other sections.
Elena wanted to be a writer, she would be amazing at that job. But me? I never really thought about my future. I guess I'd want to get a successful career, maybe a pediatrician or something completely different like an author. I'd be good at both in my opinion. And then, after I got a job, I'd think about settling down with a family. I'd meet a nice guy who'd love me and care for me, and then have kids.
But that was just at the top of my head. I was not really the person to think about the future. I focus on the present day and worry about the future when it came.
Jenna hurried up to me.
"Sshhhhh, I'm hiding." Jenna whispered. I gave her a confused look.
"Why?" I asked. She gave me a look that said 'guess', and I already knew the answer. "Logan 'Scumbag' Fell has made an appearance?" Jenna only nodded. "Come on, I was just about to go look for Elena! You should come." So I led Jenna to where I last saw Elena. She was chatting to Stefan.
"Hi, guys! I was just chatting to Jenna and guess who decided to come here." I said. Elena's eyes widened.
"Logan? Why is Logan Fell here?" She questioned.
"Um, Logan? Uhh, I have to... Go." Stefan mumbled, and then rushed off. Weird...
"What was that about?" I asked. Jenna shrugged and Elena quickly looked at me, ignored my question, and rushed after Stefan. Jenna and I looked at eachother once, and then hurried after Elena, just as Logan walked up to us and Stefan.
"Jenna!" Logan greeted with a wide grin, his grin was clearly fake. "Have you been dodging me lately?"
"So what if I was?" Jenna retaliated.
"Elena, you should take Ana and Jenna and go someplace else." Stefan whispered. Elena nodded and turned to Jenna and I.
"Let's... let's look around some more." Elena suggested to us, we nodded and the three of us walked off.
I tried so hard to not zone out when Elena began interrogating Jenna about what Logan said when he came over to the house last night. But, as always, I zoned out. After a while, I snapped back into reality. I quietly excused myself and walked off.
I talked to some more people. I saw Caroline, I talked with her, I talked to Jeremy a little more too, I chatted with Matt, and I even had a small conversation with Tyler.
I don't know what had gotten into me!! I never thought about the future, I always focused on the present. But, today, I couldn't stop my mind from wandering... I thought about graduation, college, university, jobs, starting a family and much more. I couldn't wait until school finished and I could begin my real life. Graduation and college was first on my 'real life' list.
I felt bad for Caroline. When I spoke to her, she told me that she wanted to be a broadcast journalist. I think, with her bubbly and kind energy, she would be great at the job! But apparently her mum, Sheriff Forbes, didn't think that Caroline would do good at the job.
Matt wanted to be a police officer, which I thought was great! Jeremy wanted to do something involving art, which would be an amazing career choice. He was incredible at art and anything related to it! Same as me. Not that I was bragging or anything, but I was pretty good at art.
I was walking around when I heard a noise. I spun around and saw Tyler pinned to the lockers by Jeremy. I was about to run over and stop it but I was pulled back. I turned and saw that Elena had appeared.
Mayor Lockwood and Mr Saltzman ran to stop the fight. Mayor Lockwood then led both Jeremy and Tyler outside, probably to cool off.
---
Great... Voicemail again...
"Hey, C! It's me again. Where are you? I'm waiting outside. We agreed to meet here so I could give you a lift home. Call me!" And then I hung up. Elena ran over to me.
"Logan Fell has taken Caroline." She told me.
That's all I heard before my heartbeat picked up pace. Caroline had already been through enough vampire business! First Damon, now Logan... we needed to find her!
"What are we going to do?" I asked.
"It should be okay. Stefan called Damon. You know that I don't fully trust Damon, but I trust him well enough to save Caroline with Stefan. They'll save her..." Elena explained. I nodded.
Both of us headed inside to wait for news. We acted like everything was fine and just continued to look around, but my racing heart wouldn't calm down. I immediately hurried over to Stefan when I saw him, Elena ran over, too.
"Where's Caroline? Is she okay? What happened to Logan? Is he dead?" I questioned.
"Caroline's fine, she's just shaken up. All she remembers is Logan attacking her. But I don't know what happened to Logan, I left Damon to finish him off. Damon is all about vengeance, he would've killed Logan immediately." Stefan explained. After a little more chatting between the three of us, I was too tired to stay any longer.
"I'm going to go home, I'm tired. I'll see both of you tomorrow." I spoke, Stefan and Elena nodded.
"I could give you a lift home if you'd like." Elena suggested to Stefan. He nodded again with a small smile. We walked into the parking lot and then said our goodbyes. I reached into my pocket for the car keys, but then realised that I had given them to Elena. Damn it... I looked around, they had already left. I'll just run home. It's not too far, I guess, it should be easy enough to run.
---
Okay, I'm getting seriously stressed out! So basically, I had gotten home. I was about to grab the house keys as Jenna or Jeremy still weren't home, but realised that Elena had, not just the car keys, but also the house keys! And do you know what is more annoying? She had my phone in her bag, too, so I couldn't call her!
So guess what I did... I had to run all the way to the Salvatore boarding house! I was exhausted.
"Elena? Elena!? Stefan!? Are you here!?" I called out. I had knocked on the door, but no one answered, so I barged right in. The car was out front though, so they were here. I walked upstairs to search for Stefan's room.
I found lots of bedrooms until I found Stefan's. I knew that it was Stefan's because Elena's bag was on the table. No one was there. But when I heard the shower on, I cringed. Please do not say that Elena and Stefan were showering together!!! I cringed again. Disgusting...
But, Woah! Stefan has a lot of old books and journals. I walked over to his bookshelf. Wow.
I was getting distracted.
I went over to Elena's bag and grabbed the car keys, house keys and my phone. I turned to leave but something grabbed my attention. A picture. I picked it up and my eyes widened. It was me and Elena! But we had never taken a picture like this, or wore these outfits. I looked at the corner of the picture and saw writing. When I read it, I let out a silent gasp.
Madeline and Katherine 1864.
I looked like Madeline... Madeline looked like me... Elena looked like Katherine... Katherine looked like Elena... 1864... Stefan and Damon's girlfriends... I'm identical to...
Okay, what the hell!?
I looked down at the car keys, house keys and my phone in my hand and suddenly snapped back into reality. I dropped the picture and ran for it. I sprinted down the stairs and out of the door. I hopped into the car and started it up. I drove off, still in shock.
When I had got quite far away from the Salvatore boarding house, my mind began to wander. But, after five minutes, I yelled out in frustration. I was too distracted by my thoughts that I missed the turn towards my house. I guess a little drive around the town wouldn't hurt.
I accelerated, going over the speed limit. No cars or people were around. I let my mind go somewhere else again.
Damon told me about Madeline and Katherine, yet he failed to mention that me and Elena looked identical to them! How are we connected to them!? I was so confused... I looked like Madeline! By that, I mean, if Madeline was here now instead of in the 1800s, we would've been identical twins! Identical!!!
Why couldn't Damon just tell me that I had an identical twin that I wasn't related to and that lived in the 1800s!?
Whenever I was mad, confused, frustrated or stressed, I always fiddled with the necklace that I found out Stefan got me to help me from getting compelled by vampires. But, when I reached up, the necklace was gone.
I then realised that I had left it at home before I went to the 'plan your future' event at school. Damn it... Just what I needed. I never took that necklace off, how could I have forgotten to put it on before leaving the house earlier!?
I accelerated the car more, not caring if I got pulled over. I was a good driver, I wouldn't crash.
I reached up and touched my cheek when I felt something. I pulled my hand back, I was crying... A few tears were leaking from my eyes. Great...
I couldn't believe that nobody told me about Madeline! I was so surprised that Stefan didn't tell Elena about Katherine. I knew that Stefan hadn't said anything to Elena, she would've told me. Madeline and Katherine were twins, and so were Elena and I. But how were we all related!? A few more tears spilled down my cheeks.
I looked around, I thought that it was time to go home. I could sleep off my stress and confusion. I looked towards the front again and gasped. Someone was standing in the middle of the road. I slammed on my brakes.
The person hit my car and tumbled over the hood. The car span around, smashing the windshield and denting it massively. I hit my head against the window and I felt a major headache appearing immediately. My car continued to tumble down the road until it eventually stopped... Upside down.
I felt around for my seat belt. I pulled on it but it wouldn't budge. I reached up and pulled a few shards of glass out of my hair. I had a massive headache but, luckily, I wasn't bleeding. I definitely had two or three large bruises though, but I didn't think that I had a concussion. It was very close to me having one though.
I looked out of my shattered window to see if I had killed the person that stood in the middle of the road. If I did, I'd never be able to forgive myself! I couldn't move, I was stuck. All I could do was look at the figure lying on the road. I killed them!!!
But...
I gasped when the person began mending their broken bones back into place. The person then stood up, I then noticed that it was a male figure. He was a freakin' vampire, and he was walking straight towards me!
I let out a loud scream as he reached my upside down car.
---
Ariana found out that she looked exactly like Madeline, and she's mad that Damon wouldn't just tell her! Well, now, she's gotten into a car accident because of some dumb vampire. Please read on, I hope you've enjoyed my story so far! Damiana? Stariana? Others?
Love you guys!
