It'd been a week since that fateful party, and Namjoon felt like he was walking on air.
After coming out of the closet (lol) anyone could see the way the two were standing, hands brushing against each other, something had happened.
And while they still had much to discuss, Namjoon felt a lot better knowing where he and Jin stood in terms of emotions. A weight was lifted off his shoulders, and now he could focus on getting to know the older boy properly.
The two sat back down to rejoin the game, Taehyung smiling knowingly, seeing the way his brother sat shoulder to shoulder with Jin, every once in a while sharing a look or grinning at each other.
He was happy for his hyung.

Jin was talking to Jimin about this really cute fuzzy sweater he saw online, when he got a ding from a text message.
"No, it wasn't those trending bear sweaters or whatever. Yes, uh huh. Wait one sec Jiminie, I just got a text from Joo- WAIT ONE SEC."
He quickly flipped over, so he was laying on his stomach, immediately opening his messages.

Jin didn't know what to say.
His mouth dropped open, as a silence hung over the room.
When had Namjoon become so confident? The straightforwardness was so uncharacteristic of him...
"Um, Jin hyung? You still there?" Jimin's muffled voice came through the speaker. Jin quickly snapped out of it.
"Um, uh yeah. Sorry! I just got a text from Namjoon asking me out on a date this Friday..."
"Really? That's great, Hyung!"
"Yeah! Ha, you know, it's weird. His message was so-" another ding prompted him to check his messages, in hopes it was Namjoon.

Jin smiled before clicking on the video.
It was very shaky and blurry, probably because Taehyung was trying to be sneaky in recording his brother.
"But you don't get it! Do you see this last text? What am I doing?!"
"Oh my god Namjoon, calm down. The world isn't ending."
"But I can't even use words properly! You are looking at the number one ranked English student in the senior class. Number one! In a foreign language! And I can't text a simple message in Korean!"
Jin giggled as he watched Namjoon's face contort into one of panic as he clutched his hair and flopped face first into his pillow.
He was still for a moment, before he began kicking his legs like a four-year old throwing a tantrum, the video shaking at an incredibly blurry rate as Taehyung was no doubt being bounced up and down on the bed.
"Arghhhh!" Namjoon continued to kick and shout into his pillow, making Jin laugh at his kid-like attitude.
"Oh my god, Hyung. Stop that," the screen moved closer to the teenager as Taehyung slapped his shoulder, he was trying not to laugh as well.
Namjoon's head suddenly popped up, as he finished yelling.
"What do I even say? I don't know how to act. Taehyung, I can't even text him, let alone talk to him. If we actually go on a date, I'd just be a stuttering mess the entire night. Every time I look at him, I forget what to say. He makes me feel, like...he's so...he's just perfect. And...and I really like him Taehyung."
Jin's heart skipped a beat as he heard those words leave Namjoon's mouth, a warmth spreading through his chest. As if he was there, Jin could feel the atmosphere change. Taehyung seemed to give his brother a comforting smile.
"Hyung, you'll be fine. Just be yourself. Jin likes you for you. Stuttering mess and all."
They seemed to sit in a comfortable silence for a moment, before Namjoon nodded his head.
"You're right. It's not a problem. I can do this."
"Yes, you can."
"Ok, yeah."
"Text him."
"..."
"Namjoon-"
"Okay, but maybe you could do it? Just this once?"
The video moved quickly as Taehyung apparently lunged, Jin hearing a loud smack and an 'ow!' from the older, before the video stopped altogether.
He sighed, a soft smile on his face as he rolled over to stare at his ceiling.
When he was younger, he'd stuck up those little glow in the dark star stickers, so now, he stared mindlessly at them, replaying what just happened.
He giggled a little remembering Namjoon's predicament, before realizing he hadn't replied to the message. He sat up and grabbed his phone

Namjoon was tucking Young-Jae in, when a buzz came from his pocket. He quickly kissed his son on the forehead before going to his phone to check the notification.
Seeing it was a text from Jin, he quickly opened it:
