Sebastian's P.O.V
".. I'm going to reject her." I say to Jake over the phone.
"Sebastian don't do this , it's a mistake and you know it." It probably is a mistake but I have to do this to protect her from myself and what happened now is evident. I don't respond and just hang up.
Heading upstairs I slowly approach my room and notice that the door is slightly open, I rush inside and immediately see some of Zendea's clothes on the floor with the closet half empty. "Shit!" Rushing downstairs I take out my phone and call Henry , he picks up immediately.
"Where is she!" I growl into the phone as the elevator doors close.
"She is safe at Miss Amara's house sir." Henry says calmly.
"Take me there now!" I say hanging up the phone. When I get outside the car door is already open , I get in and Henry closes the door. She left , I don't blame her but .. she left.
The car comes to a stop and I can see Amara's house, without even waiting for Henry to open the door I bolt out, rush to the door and enter without knocking. "Zendea!" I shout out, Amara comes into view with her eyes widened and the minute she sees me I see the rage in her eyes.
"No !" She yells putting up her hand to signal me to stop. "I don't know what you did to her but I do know that you hurt her , a lot." I get closer to her and try to control my breathing.
"Amara where is she." I ask trying to keep calm.
"I don't have to tell you a damn thing Sebastian." She spits out.
I release a low growl as I grab her neck and lightly squeeze it. "Watch your tone when speaking to me. Where the fuck is she!" I bark into the side of her face. Struggling to breathe she scratches at my hand and I let her go causing her body to make a loud thud. She coughs and tries to catch her breath.
"S-she left, I don't know w-where to." I hit the wall out of frustration and my fist goes through, yanking my fist out I turn to the door and leave. When I'm about to get into the car I stop , her sent hits my nostrils and I whiff the air. I close the car door and start running, her scent leads me to the exit of the city and close to the woods, the more I run the stronger it gets but then I feel a sharp pain on my left shoulder. Someone's hurting her , I start sprinting as I follow her scent praying that nothing happens to her.
After a while another sharp pain hits my abdomen making me stop , I know this pain , it's the feeling of a silver bullet. "Fuck!" Commanding Jax, I shift and make a run for it. I try to mind link her wolf but I get nothing. Dammit ! I feel something piercing through my skin and I howl in pain , they're killing her. I push myself to run faster and try to mind link her wolf again but still nothing, if I lose her I don't think I'll ever be able to forgive myself.
Titans P.O.V
"Titan , you haven't slept in months , you hardly eat , all you do is train and not to mention your firm hand on the pack." Marcus says.
"I am supposed to protect her! Yet I can't even seem to find her." I bark at him. Zendea has been gone for more than 6 months now and a day hasn't passed where I don't try looking for her , mind linking Katani or even tracking her but nothing .. it's as if she disappeared from the face of the earth and I've been different ever since. I train night and day , fulfill my Alpha duties double times over and hardly sleep just to keep myself sane but I can feel myself losing control each day. And one of these days I'm going to snap.
"Titan listen-" As Marcus speaks I hear a faint voice in my head, I try to ignore it but it keeps coming back.
"Titan." Wait a minute, is that Zen..
"Titan ! I'm talking to you." Marcus interrupts my thoughts.
"Shut the fuck up!" I snap. Shocked, he keeps quiet without arguing.
"Titan." I hear Zendea's voice again.
"She's calling out for me." I say getting up and sprinting for the door with Marcus hot on my track.
"Zendea baby talk to me where are you?." I plead to her but I don't get a response. Getting outside I shift immediately and start running, heading into the forest I get a faint whiff of her scent and follow it.
"Titan , Titan. H-help m-me." My heart shatters at how weak she sounds.
"Zee hold on for me ok , don't give up do you hear me! I'm coming." I plead with her as I push my body to run as fast as possible, approaching where her scent is the strongest I see a glimpse of her body and I jump to her. The first thing I see when I look at her is how lifeless her body looks , her bullet wounds and the stab wound on her abdomen. I shift back and try to lift her body but a great force tackles me to the ground causing me to growl.
Sebastian's P.O.V
As I sprint to where Zendea's scent is the strongest I see a man hovering over her, without even thinking I tackle him , he growls and so do I. When his body lands on the ground with a thud I bark in his face to surrender , he pushes me off with great strength showing me he's not human but when I'm about to attack I halt. It's Titan.
"Who the fuck do you think you are putting your filthy hands on MY MATE ! You better pray to whatever God you serve for forgiveness because you're going to die today." I bark.
"Fuck you! This is my sister and she's dying." He roars back. When he says that I stop, I turn to look at her beautiful face but all I see is how lifeless she is. Without even thinking I shift back and pick her up bridal style. I run towards Jason's pack house with Titan right behind me.
When we get there I run straight to their hospital facility and storm in , finding an empty bed I lay her down and rip off her hoodie. When I see her wounds my heart aches. If I hadn't been such a monster she wouldn't have left and she wouldn't be here , this is my fault. I take a bullet extractor and reach for the bullet when I grab ahold of it it starts beeping so I rip it out and it explodes , covering the air with powder made from silver. I repeat my actions on the other bullet and successfully remove it like I did with the first one. If Asahya hadn't told me about the bullet that hit me and how it almost killed me I could have killed Zendea.
After cleaning her wounds I stitch them up and command the staff to bring me warm blankets, when they do I use them to wrap her body and lift her up.
"Take me to the pack house now." I command Titan and he starts walking, making me follow. When we get into the pack house he leads me to her bedroom and the minute I enter I'm surrounded by her addictive scent , walking to her bed I lay her down gently and sit by the edge of her bed. "I'm not leaving." I state breaking the silence.
He turns to me as his chest heaves and releases a low growl of disapproval. "You are not welcome here! I'll drag you out myself if I have to."
"Watch how you speak to me boy, I will end your life in an instance and not that I need to remind you but Zendea is my mate. I won't listen to the likes of you concerning her. She is mine!" I growl getting closer to him.
"That is enough. The whole house can hear you two. She is not some trophy you can fight over , she's a human being and she will decide on who she stays with when she wakes up. Titan if you would please excuse yourself I'd like to have a word with Alpha Jacobs." I'm guessing this is the Beta otherwise he wouldn't be this brave to face me. I watch Titan leave without a word , good choice, closing the door the Beta looks at me. "Thank you , for saving my little girl's life, I owe you a great deal." He says sitting down.
"I'd do anything for her." I state.
"I don't know if she's been with you since she left home but I do know that you have every right , as her mate , to take her with you no questions asked. Just keep in mind that you are the one holding her father captive and I'm sure she knows nothing of that." He challenges.
"For your sake I hope that's not a threat and-" I start off , standing up. "It would be wise to mind how you speak to me Beta because you know what I'm capable of." I say approaching him , as I do I can see the tone of his face , fearful yet challenging, this makes me smirk. "Now leave." I command him. I watch him as he gets up and leaves , shutting the door. I turn around and walk to Zendea's bed, sitting next to her I gently brush her face and feel the faint sparks ignite.
Her once caramel skin is now two shades paler , her beautiful curly black her has lost its glow , her full pink lips are grey and blue and her gorgeous curvy body is covered in wounds and cuts. In this moment if I could breathe my life into her I would, I'd do anything to wake her up. Laying next to her I hold her in my arms and kiss her forehead repeatedly.
"I don't know if you can hear me kitten but if you can I just want you to know that I'm not going anywhere, I'm going to stay by your side till you wake up. And hope that you forgive me." I whisper to her as I gently kiss her cold lips.
