Shoto's POV
It's been days, I haven't seen Yuki around height alliance, nor either every time I always wait for her to come back from her job as a hero. And she hasn't called or text...
I heard from Uraraka and Kirishima that she's been going out early?
And the past two days...
I can see all of my classmates are acting strange since Yuki started leaving early in the morning.
How strange? They've been acting weird every time I tried to talk with them.
Then I saw Kaminari yesterday that he's hiding something?
"Kaminari, is something wrong?" I ask
"oh not at all!" Kaminari answered "anyway gotta go" then he walks away
Then I saw Uraraka and Yaoyorozu are talking in secret... but I don't want to hear it... since it's a girls privacy.
Then I saw Bakugou is doing something suspiscious? I can see he's holding a box. 'paint brush and colored paint?'
"WHAT ARE YOU STARING AT, HALF-N-HALF?!" Bagkugou shouted
"what are you doing?" I ask
"NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!" then Bakugou walks out
After that I saw Ashido and Asui.
"it's Todoroki, quick hide it!" Ashido said to Asui
Then they quickly back up
"oh hey, Todoroki. Ribbit" Asui greeted
"what are you doing?" I ask
"nothing, we're just having a chat" Ashido said nervously.
"have you seen Yuki anywhere?" I ask "I heard that she came back early?"
"Yuki, I think she left again" Ashido said
"she said she's been called for another job again, Ribbit" Asui said
"I see..." I barely said
After that I walked to Mr. Aizawa, then I saw him talking with All Might.
"oh, hello Young Todoroki" All Might greeted
"let me guess, Yuki" Mr. Aizawa said "I heard from the others you've been asking her where abouts since days"
"yes sir" I respond "I haven't seen Yuki and I tried waiting for her over night but she seems..."
"Yuki is just busy doing night jobs. She said she'll be busy for a while" Mr. Aizawa said
I feel worried that everyone is acting strange.
Then All Might pat my shoulder "don't worry, I'm sure Yuki is just busy. Plus she kept remembering every time she leave early" he said
That's what happened 2 days ago. And I can see everyone is kinda avoiding me, and I can see they kept dodging my questions about Yuki.
Last night I received a text from Yuki.
'meet me at the common space at 9:00am where going for a date tomorrow' Yuki texted.
The next day.
I head down to the common space. And the only person I saw is Yuki and no one else.
Yuki turned "Shoto"
I approach her
"sorry, that I haven't been in class for a few days, even home for a few nights or even text you for a while" Yuki apologized
"it's fine, I understand" I said
Then Yuki smiled then grab my hand "since I ask you out for a date, it's my turn to take to the places I want to show you" she said
I remember the last time we went on a date together. I remember that I usually ask her out for the places I want to show her, and Yuki usually likes anything in Japanese, especially the sakura blossoms. After all Yuki is like a sakura blossom who bloomed very beautiful in the month of May.
And I remember I always sent her sakura blossoms for her birthday.
Then later on we walked around Musutafu city while Yuki has my eyes blind folded.
"Yuki, why are you covering my sights?" I ask
I heard Yuki giggled "since it's a special a place I want you to be surprised" she said
"but when I take on the place I want you to see, I don't cover your eyes" I said
"I just want you to feel excited" Yuki said
After that I felt Yuki stopped walking.
"here we are!" Yuki said as she took off my blind fold
Then right in front of us is a cafe.
"is this..."
Yuki became excited "this is Kitten Cafe" she said "the famous cat cafe here on Musutafu" then Yuki hold my hand "since you like cats I was thinking of taking you here."
I can see she still remembers the day when we were young that she saw me got adored in front cats. And sometimes I even help and save cats since I was younger.
Yuki even teased me being a cat...
Am I really a cat figure?
After that Yuki ordered cheese cake and red tea for the both of us. And I can see Yuki is drooling for sweets again.
"here Shoto, try it" then Yuki gave me a slice of cheese cake.
Then I took one bite, and it was delicious.
"it's delicious" I said
"really?!" Yuki became surprised then she she took a bite then I can see her eyes are sparkling. "so good~"
After that we head to room where the cats are being pet.
"so cute!" Yuki said
After that we pet the cats inside he room, and I can see Yuki is enjoying herself.
"look Shoto" Yuki called
I turn and I saw Yuki is wearing a cat head band while holding a cat
"Meow~" Yuki meowed
'so cute' I thought
"Shoto?"
"Shoto... Shoto?"
I felt my heart is beating so fast right now.
After that we head out, then Yuki grab my hand as we head to the park. Then I can see there's a carnival set up.
Suddenly grab my hand "Let's go, Shoto!" then she starts pulling me.
"slow down, Yuki" I said
Then Yuki bought tickets for the both of us.
She seems excited me being with her, after all she's always busy since she's hero who works in public. And she's sometimes sad every time she hardly got any time for us to be together.
We enjoy ourselves, playing different stalls, petting different animals, and we even tried the carnival rides.
Carousel that we went around spinning, and I can see Yuki is enjoying it. It's like memory of our childhood selves every time I can see she's this happy.
Ferris wheel we watched the whole city while we rise up and while holding her hand.
As long Yuki is smiling I can't seem to let her go.
She always smiles, the smile of the hero who I love and protect.
She might be strong, but she always worried about us.
When the ferris wheel lower us down, suddenly Yuki's communicator ringed.
"hello" Yuki picked it up
"hm"
"mhm"
"got it, I'll be there" then Yuki ended her sentence as she sighed
"sorry, Shoto. Looks like our date got ruined" Yuki apologized
"what's wrong?" I ask
"well, Tsukauchi called said there's another mission again" Yuki said "but before that let's have lunch!" she suddenly bring up the mood.
Minutes later we went on a ramen shop then Yuki ordered high class soba for today.
"here Shoto, soba your favorite" Yuki said excitely
Then we ate some soba together.
Yuki is kinda acting weird today, she's seeems very excited today.
Like she wants to bring up the mood today?
Even though she got called again, she seems very excited.
She's smiling like she's excited about something is about to happen...
"Yuki?" I called
"hm?"
"you seem excited today?" I said
"of course!" Yuki smiled "after all I was able to spend my time with you, Shoto."
I guess she's happy.
Since she's busy these past days.
After that we head out. Then Yuki lets go off my hand, like something is wrong?
"Shoto, could you do me a favor?" Yuki ask
I became curious "ok...? What is it?" I ask
Yuki smiled "could you pick up my parcel in our classroom" she said
"?"
"well, I left my parcel this morning back while I was talking with Uncle Aizawa" Yuki said while scratching her nape "then I forget about it back in class" then she bow "so could you please pick up the parcel for me!"
She's being forgetful these days...
"sure, I'll pick it up for you" I took the job
Then Yuki look up with sparkles in her eyes then she ran up hug me "thanks Shoto" then she kissed my cheek then ran up ahead.
Then Yuki look back at me as she wave her hand "see you later, Shoto" then she smiled then she look back then start running.
And there she goes again...
She left...
I feel worried every time she leaves for her job as a pro-hero.
Well guess, I'll just head back then pick up the parcel Yuki ordered.
A few minute walk, I kept remembering the things we did for the past years.
The time I met Yuki
The time we became friends
The time we spend together
The things I showed her, also the things she showed me
When the time I was crying alone and she never left me.
She comforted me...
She kept helping me, training me, nurturing me...
And she kept encouraging till the very end...
She's not afraid of me...
She's not afraid of my left-side.
'neither I get freeze or burn, nothing can stop my determination' I remember Yuki said those.
So we became friends for almost ten years...
Now we became special to each other...
Even though she's busy all the time, she never stopped being there for us in hard times.
She really is a hero to me...
And a hero to everyone...
After that I've reached UA gates at night time then I head to class 1-A classroom, then I saw the parcel on the Yuki's desk.
Then I grabbed it then exit the classroom. I walk toward class 1-A height alliance, then I notice the lights are off.
I became curious so I slowly open the door.
Suddenly the lights open.
"Everyone!"
"happy birthday, Todoroki!"
Eh?
Of course...
Today is January 11, my birthday.
Then I look up I saw Yuki walking towards me.
"happy birthday, Shoto" Yuki smiled
"Yu- Yuki? I thought you got called?" I said
Yuki chuckle "that was an act silly" she said "the call was just a signal that everything is set for your birthday."
Everything is set...?
So that's why everyone is acting strange these days. They were planning all the time.
"uh... Yuki. Here's your parcel" I hand her the box
Then Yuki put her hand then push it to me lightly then she smiled "happy birthday Shoto. This boxs is not actually a parcel" she said "it's actually your birthday present."
My present?
So I'm carrying it for while now...
"open it Shoto" Yuki said
Then I open the boxs, as I saw what's inside.
"an album?" I said 'Memories of Shoto Todoroki : Being a Hero' then I open the album.
Then I saw all the photos of me here in UA.
My first day as a student

Training camp

The provisional license exam
The time I spend wih Yuki during my extra lessons

I look to Yuki "did you took all these?" I ask
Yuki nod "mhm, I've been saving this for your birthday" she said
"I've been taking photos of all of my classmates here in UA. On what we achieved, the things we've been through all those were obstacles for us being a hero."
"I never forget every single moment of those days..."
"and I never forget class 1-A..."
"everyone here is a family to me..."
"so as a student-teacher, a hero, and a friend..."
"I will never forget everyone" Yuki smiled "especially you, ufu."
Then I saw everyone is surrounding us.
"Yagi did all the plans and she put all of the credit buying all of the decoration" Kirishima said
"then she bought all the ingredients of your favorite food" Uraraka said
"so she told us to keep it a surprise for you" Yaoyorozu said
I look at Yuki I can see she's smiling, I felt my eyes are wet and I felt tears are escaping from my eyes.
"see, everyone here is like a family to us. You're not only one, Shoto" Yuki said "because we're class 1-A... we're a family... and we never forget each other."
"even in hard times, we need keep smiling" then Yuki smiled "so come on Shoto. Please smile..."
I wipe my tears away...
As I realize that Yuki is my happiness...
She's like a light glowing in the dark...
Who brings happiness and joy to people's hearts...
And as I know I'm one of those people who is inspire by her.
She never cease to make me smile.
Then I quickly hugged her "Yuki... thank you..." I said
"ufu, I knew you would be happy" Yuki said as she hugged back
"I'll always make everyone happy..."
That night we all celebrated my birthday. Even though Bakugou kept barking he's still enjoying his time with Uraraka. Then Yuki even has games for the night.
"make wish, Todoroki" Kirishima said
Then I look at Yuki first then I close my eyes for a second then blow the candle.
And I can hear everyone's applause.
"what did you wish for, Todoroki?" Sero ask
"it's something I want keep it to myself" I said
After that we shared the cake. Yuki is the one who ask Sato to make the cake, and I can see Yuki's eyes is sparkling while eating a slice of cake.
After that we all clean the whole common area, then we all went to our dorms while Yuki escorted me back to my room.
"so did you enjoy the party?" Yuki ask
"yeah, I like it..." I answer
"well, see you tomorrow birthday boy" Yuki turn around.
Then I grab Yuki's hand.
Then Yuki turn "Shoto?"
I think I need to think this through before I tell her...
Or maybe I should...
I breath out "Yuki... could we dance...?" I ask
Yuki became curious then she lightly smiled "sure, Shoto"
Then I pulled Yuki into my room, then as I held her right hand then my my hand on her waist. As we start dancing slowly inside my room.
It's been a while since I dance with Yuki.
She's the one who's asking me for a dance, now it's my turn to ask her.
"you're still good at this, Shoto" Yuki said
"I never forget my steps" I said
Then we look deep into each other.
"Shoto?"
"hm?"
"what is your birthday wish anyway?" Yuki ask
I can't say it...
She might get angry if told her...
"Shoto?"
Now she's getting curious...
I breath out 'if I keep this up, she'll get more curious' I thought 'better face her reactions.'
Then I look at her straight "if I told you about my wish, you'll get angry" I said
"come on, Shoto. It wouldn't be that bad" Yuki calm herself
I hope if I tell her she won't get angry.
Then I gather my courage to say it to her.
"I..."
"I... I..." I'm stuttering
"I want to marry you, Yuki..."
Now I feel embarassed when I told her, I can see Yuki's reaction is glowing.
"ufu..."
"ufufufufufu" Yuki chuckle
She laughed?
"you're so funny Shoto" Yuki joke
"I'm... I'm telling the truth Yuki!" I said "I really am..." I said seirously
"I really want to marry you."
Then Yuki became silent as she look at me straight.
"Shoto..." Yuki mumble
I'm getting embarassed and nervous.
"I want to marry you" I repeated "but first I'll graduate then become a great hero that you too can look on."
"and once I became strong enough I promise to protect you, even though you're stronger than me."
"you've already supported me, help me and even encourage me all the time..."
"and I want to repay those, by giving you a better life..."
"I love you, Yuki. With the bottom of my heart I really love you."
"and..."
"forgive me for this foolish wish I have."
"I really-"
Then Yuki cut my words when she press her soft lips to mine. I can feel she's calm and gentle, then seconds later we pulled out.
"what are you saying, Shoto?" Yuki said "of course it's not a foolish wish"
Eh?
"what I'm saying is, it's a wonderful wish" Yuki became embarassed while her cheeks are turning flush pink "it's a bit early to ask me those..."
"I know you love me, and I do too."
"and of course you love me so much that of course you want to marry me."
Then she look straight at me then as we stop dancing.
"despite all the things we've been through, our relationship as lovers became much stronger every time we face something on our way..."
Then I look at her "Yuki..."
"what I'm saying is..." Yuki breath out "I love you, Shoto."
"I love you with all my heart, and you already know my answer once you ask those question soon."
I became surprised on her reaction "does that mean...?"
Then Yuki nod "it's a yes, Shoto" she answer
"of course I'll marry you. Even though you're a jerk, an idiot, a cold person you're always the Shoto I want to be with. But the least we can do is wait for that day..."
I suddenly felt my heart and spirit race through out my body when she said yes.
Then I hugged her all of a sudden.
"Shoto?!"
I felt all the happiness in the world rush towards me. Or is it...
Yuki is my only happinesss.
Because every time I see her smile, every time she's with me. She always make feel light, she is...
Everything for me...
"I love you, Yuki" I hugged her "I swear I'll graduate and become a strong hero that you too can admire and make you happy."
Then I felt Yuki smiled as she hug back "I know Shoto... as long as you're here, I'm always happy."
After that she walk towards the door.
"good night... Shoto"
"good night... Yuki"
Then as she slowly walk away heading towards the elevator.
As she left I close the door, then I suddenly felt excited and my spirit and heart race.
Soon
I'll make her happy.
I'll become a hero that she can admire, and I'll give her the life to make her happy soon.
Yuki... I love you...

Today is January 11, Shoto Todorki's birthday. I want to make it advance since my writings is still ongoing. And soon my exams are going to start next week, so I won't be able to write since I need to study.
