Jisoo and Jennie were still in the living room when Lisa and Chaeyoung came into the house. The married pair immediately saw the slight pink that was on both of their cheeks, and Jisoo threw Lisa a knowing smirk.

"Merry Christmas, Chaeyoung." Jisoo smiled. Jennie set her book aside, got up from her seat and walked over to give Chaeyoung a hug.

"Yeah, Merry Christmas," she murmured quietly while in her embrace. "Was it really bad this year?"

Chaeyoung shrugged. "I just figured I didn't have to put up with them anymore."

She wasn't about to admit that her real reason for leaving was the fact that she now had someone she really wanted to spend Christmas with. No, she couldn't say that, not when that someone stood beside her, not while the taste of that someone still lingered on her lips and her tongue.

That would come later.

"So, what now?"

Jisoo glanced at the grandfather clock which stood behind her. "It's almost dinnertime. I hope you had the sense to fast, because your stomach will burst otherwise."

Chaeyoung laughed. "I haven't eaten anything since morning. I think I'll be fine."

Dara walked in then, and was thoroughly surprised to find Chaeyoung standing in her living room.

"Merry Christmas!"

Chaeyoung smiled. "Merry Christmas, Dara."

"Glad you could join us."

Dara knew there was a reason why Chaeyoung had come, and knew not to pry. It was Christmas, and there was no need for dwelling on negative feelings on Christmas.

"Girls, could you set the table? Half an hour till the feast."

Jisoo groaned and set down her sketchbook. The drawing of Jennie was yet to be finished, and she hastily closed the page before the model herself could glimpse at it. Jennie frowned, and Jisoo offered her an apologetic smile.

"I don't share unfinished work."

Jennie rolled her eyes. "Perfectionist."

"I just don't want you looking at it and telling me it's awful."

"Jisoo, I can't even draw a stick figure without screwing it up. Everything you make is beautiful."

Jisoo stood up then, and grabbed Jennie's shoulders. "If you say so."

Jennie thought Jisoo was going to kiss her, but instead she flipped her around and began pushing her towards the dining room.

"Come on, the sooner we set the table the sooner we eat."

Lisa and Chaeyoung were left standing in the doorway of the living room, and for a while, neither of them spoke. Lisa shifted slightly, bouncing on the balls of her feet, unsure of what to do or say. Chaeyoung, on the other hand, raised her eyes to look around, and caught sight of a few leaves hung from the door frame above them.

"Lisa."

"Huh?"

"Look. Mistletoe."

Lisa glanced up to see the green leaves hanging above their head, but quickly returned to look at the woman before her. The mischievous smirk that resided on Chaeyoung's face was quickly wiped away when Lisa pushed her back against the doorframe and pressed her lips to hers, her body melding into hers all-too perfectly. This kiss was of yet another new sort, neither rough and demanding nor gentle and soft – no, this kiss was pure lust and need, neither taking or giving but more than clearly telling Chaeyoung what Lisa wanted.

"Now?" She asked as Lisa's hands dug into her hip and their lips parted for just a second.

"Yes, now," Lisa growled, "It's been too many days. I told you, Chaeyoung. I missed you. All of you."

Chaeyoung chuckled at Lisa's blatant need and complete disregard for hiding it; it was flattering to say the least, and she couldn't deny that she herself hadn't recalled the nights she had already shared with the brunette on her more lonelier nights.

"Oh, god guys, get a room."

Lisa turned her head to find not just one but four people standing before them, all of them staring with wide eyes and amused faces. Apparently the football game had ended, and neither she or Chaeyoung had noticed.

"Shut up," Lisa grumbled at Irene as she withdrew from Chaeyoung.

"So you're Chaeyoung?" Irene asked, ignoring Lisa's glares. Taeyang, Suho and Bogum slipped past them while Irene remained there, standing before Lisa and Chaeyoung with a curious look on her face.

Chaeyoung nodded. "Yes. And you are?"

"Irene, Lisa's friend."

"Irene, can you fuck off?"

"No."

"Why not?"

"Because it's almost dinner, and if you want to go do god-knows-what to your girlfriend, you best be doing it somewhere where Dara can't see you."

Lisa grumbled. "She's not-"

But Irene tapped her head lightly as she passed her, gentle laughter spilling from her lips. Chaeyoung watched Lisa for a while before grabbing her face and pulling her in for another kiss, rough and demanding like they had grown accustomed to. But Lisa groaned and pushed her away, and Chaeyoung looked at her in confusion.

"What?"

"What the fuck are we doing?"

Chaeyoung raised an eyebrow. "You want to do this now?"

In response, Lisa grabbed her hand and dragged her across the living room and into the study, where she pushed the door shut before flipping Chaeyoung over and shoving her up against it. Chaeyoung's hands were pinned to her sides as Lisa's lips claimed hers, and she gave into the sensation for a long, pleasurable moment. The brunette was surprisingly strong, and she actually had to use some force to wriggle a hand free in order to push Lisa's face away from hers long enough to get a few words in.

"Lisa, what the hell?"

Lisa groaned then, and dipped her head downward to press her lips onto Chaeyoung's neck. "What Irene said," she murmured as she trailed kisses along Chaeyoung's skin, "What do you think?"

Chaeyoung couldn't help but furrow her brows in confusion. "What do you mean?"

Lisa placed her free hand onto Chaeyoung's waist and pressed harder against her, causing Chaeyoung's head to spin just the tiniest bit. "She called you my girlfriend."

"And?"

Lisa did not look Chaeyoung in her eyes; she kept kissing along her neck, her hot lips distracting the older woman from the conversation at hand. "Do you want to be?"

Chaeyoung grabbed Lisa's hair and yanked her head up to claim her lips roughly before answering. "I'm not opposed to the idea."

The butterflies erupted in Lisa's stomach, and the smile that spread onto her lips was all too adorable for Chaeyoung to handle. She kissed her again, hard and demanding as though she were claiming Lisa as her own, and when they parted both their lips tingled with the sheer force of their connection.

"Ok, so we're doing this?" Lisa asked as she was being backed towards the air mattress by Chaeyoung. "Seriously-"

Chaeyoung groaned and pushed her down onto the mattress. "Yes, seriously."

"You're my girlfriend."

"And you're mine," Chaeyoung said simply as she climbed over Lisa and pinned her down onto the bed. "And I will make you mine, over and over again."

*****

Chaeyoung and Lisa just barely made it to the dinner table before Dara walked in with the turkey. Everyone else was already seated, and they received a round of knowing smirks and rolled eyes as they took their seats beside one another. Chaeyoung sat beside Jennie, who nudged her gently and offered her a victorious smile.

"Still just 'having fun'?"

Chaeyoung chuckled and shook her head. "No. Looks like I'm effectively trapped."

For that, she received a jab at her ribs from Lisa. "If anyone's trapping anyone, it's you." She leaned in closer, and then whispered: "Or should I say pinning."

The older woman shoved her further away from her, but laughter was playing on both her and Lisa's lips, and they were comfortable and happy altogether. Jennie eyed her best friend and Jisoo's curiously for a while before turning to look at Jisoo, who sat across from her. Between them, at the end of the table, sat Uncle Taeyang, while Dara sat beside Jisoo; the third seat on Jisoo's side was occupied by Suho, and on the other end of the table sat Irene and Bogum, a bit cramped but not minding having to sit so close together. After all, they were just as married as Jisoo and Jennie were.

Jisoo shook her head as she looked at Lisa and Chaeyoung, and Jennie needed no words to understand what she was thinking.

"You guys are ridiculous," Jisoo laughed, "But please tell me you're finally actually together."

Lisa fell silent then, as did Chaeyoung. That was all that Jisoo needed to know that she'd been right. She raised her glass then, as did everyone else around the table.

"Congrats, you idiots."

As the table chorused congratulations to the two now very embarrassed idiots, Dara walked in with a beautifully cooked turkey, and all their attentions fixed on that. The table was cramped full of food, from roasted vegetables to mashed potatoes to gravy and bread rolls and just about any Christmas food imaginable so that there wasn't a space left for anything except the turkey which was yet to come. The feast set before them was mouthwatering to say the least, and the fact that none of them had had a bite to eat since breakfast meant that everyone's stomachs were grumbling as loudly as possible.

They dug into their feast, and the mood was joyous and merry; before long, the conversation was bubbling, with everyone talking excitedly but no one speaking over one another. Jennie was soon caught up in a deep philosophical conversation with Taeyang, which she found absolutely delightful given the fact that he had minored in the topic; Jisoo watched the two of them discuss Plato's ideas and the Enlightenment and whatever obscure terms which she failed to recognize, and felt proud at how well Jennie was settling into her family. The brightness of her smile could have competed with the sun, and Jisoo was so enamored by her wife that she failed at first to notice her mother was talking to her.

"Jisoo?"

Jisoo finally tore her eyes away from her wife to look at her mother, but was unable to wipe the idiotic smile from her face. "Hm?"

Dara rolled her eyes. "You really are incredible."

"What?"

"Jisoo, honey, you practically ooze love for Jennie. Don't get me wrong, it's so great to see that, but you're practically rendered incapable of any other functions when she's around."

"No I'm not."

"I had to repeat your name four times before you noticed me," Dara pointed out.

"It's just...look at her, she's so happy. It's not all the time. Just moments like this."

Dara smiled and nodded. "I get that. It's so great that you have her."

Jisoo smiled. "Yeah, it is."

"And Jennie seems to be settling fine."

"More than fine, I'd say," Jisoo chuckled. "She's holding her own in a debate with Uncle Taeyang. That's a rare thing to see."

"Yes, Taeyang can get competitive. Which reminds me, he wants to play chess with you later."

"Mom, that's another of our traditions. You really think I'd miss it?"

Her mother smiled and patted her cheek. "Just reminding you, given the fact that you're currently very preoccupied by your wife."

*****

The dinner lasted hours on end, and the discussion that accompanied it never died down; but in the end they were all rendered groaning messes on the verge of bursting, and with strenuous effort dragged themselves into the living room, where some laid onto the couches and armchairs whilst the majority remained on the floor, much like they had on Thanksgiving. Dara decided to call it a night, given her irregular sleeping schedule, leaving the rest to fend for themselves.

"Alright, time for chess."

Jisoo groaned. "Later."

"Jisoo, you did promise. Up you get."

"I'm dying, Uncle Taeyang. Leave me be."

"I'll bring the board to the floor. How about that?"

Jisoo groaned again but turned to lay on her stomach, grabbing a pillow to rest under her chest as she helped her uncle set up the game of chess. Jennie laid beside her, and after a while Jisoo felt her hand come to rest on her back and drowsily play with her hair.

Lisa was laying partially on top of Chaeyoung on the floor, but her eyes were fixed on Suho. She was studying him, and was growing to realize that the time to confront him of his blatant disdain of Jisoo's relationship was coming near. She groaned and rolled over so that her lips were near Chaeyoung's ear, and whispered: "Look at Suho and tell me he doesn't look like he's trying to set Jisoo and Jennie on fire with his mind."

Chaeyoung grumbled and raised her eyes, and studied Suho for a score of two seconds before nodding. "He is. You want to kick his ass, or will I?"

Lisa sighed. "I'll do it." She got up, and smacked Chaeyoung's ass before standing up and walking over to Suho.

"Get up."

Suho looked at her, perplexed. "What?"

"I said get up."

"Lisa, what?"

"I need to talk to you."

Suho stood up, and Lisa grabbed his arm roughly before dragging him along with her out of the living room and into the dining room.

"Okay, what the fuck is wrong with you?"

Suho stood near the table, staring at Lisa in complete and utter confusion. "What?"

"I said, what the fuck is wrong with you?"

Suho crossed his arms across his chest and glared at her. "Nothing. Why would you think that?"

"You've been glaring and staring at Jisoo and Jennie ever since you got here, and it's not good stares – I've seen you, Suho, your jaw clenches and you curl your fists like you do when you're angry. So spill – do I have to kick your ass?"

"Why would you have to kick my ass?"

"Do you have a problem with Jisoo and Jennie?"

The hesitation was evident in Suho's otherwise intimidating composure, and Lisa groaned. "Fucking shit, Suho. What is it? You wanted Jisoo, but now she's married and you lost your chance?"

"No."

"Then what are you, a fucking homophobe?" Lisa stepped in closer and jabbed a finger at Suho's chest. He glared at her and shoved her away, not too roughly, but roughly enough to properly piss Lisa off.

"I don't like it, that's all."

"Don't like what? Jisoo being happy? Jisoo having a wife?"

Suho was quiet, and Lisa took that as a yes.

"I'm going to kick your ass, I swear-"

Just then the door opened, and in walked Jennie, completely oblivious as of yet of the confrontation taking place in the room. But she closed the door immediately when she saw the tense postures of both Suho and Lisa, and her mouth hung slightly open in question.

"What's going on?"

Suho sighed. "Nothing."

"No, why is Lisa going to kick your ass?"

"I said, it's nothing."

Lisa stepped in front of Suho and yanked Jennie over to stand beside her. "No, you're going to tell me why you're not okay with this angelic creature being married to Jisoo. Tell me why you think the single-most best thing that has ever happened to Jisoo is a bad thing and why you dislike it. Go on, man up and tell me. Tell her," she snarled, "Don't be a coward."

Suho looked at Lisa's furious face, and Jennie's confusion, and sighed. There was no way out.

"I just don't think it's right, that's all."

Now it was Jennie's turn to be angry. "What isn't right? The fact that I'm a woman?"

Suho nodded slightly, and Jennie only barely stifled the urge to slap him.

"It's not right and you know it isn't," Suho muttered, though his voice sounded somehow hollow and empty. But Jennie didn't notice this; no, all she noticed was the fact that she was hearing the same words her parents had repeated to her many times over, echoing in her ears in both their voices and Suho's. "It's not a real marriage. It's not real love."

Lisa let out a small surprised yelp when Jennie suddenly grabbed Suho by the collar of his shirt and shoved him into the wall, her fist coming up to hover near his face, only barely stopping before it collided with his jaw. He was way taller than her, and probably should have been stronger, but Jennie was incredibly strong for someone so small; she was easily keeping Suho in place, not only because of her physical strength but the absolute fury that burned from her eyes and terrified Suho to the core of his being.

"Say that again, and I'll hurt you," Jennie growled. "Say that to Jisoo, and you're dead."

Suho quivered slightly under Jennie's hard stare, but kept his ground. "I'm only speaking the truth. And clearly I'm the only one who sees your marriage for the joke that it is. It isn't real. It can't ever be real."

"Let's see how real it is when I punch you and leave a wedding-ring imprint on your cheek."

"Jennie, don't hurt him for real. He's not worth it," Lisa interjected from behind her. She wasn't about to have Christmas ruined because of a dispute like this, no matter how much she actually wanted to kick Suho's ass.

Jennie did not move her eyes away from Suho. "I may not hurt you yet, but say anything like that again and I will not hesitate to punch you. Now either you go to hell, or you shut the fuck up – but I don't want you going near Jisoo ever again."

She let go of Suho then, and he quickly slipped away from her and hurried out of the house. He slammed the front door so loud that Jennie was sure even Dara had woken to the noise, and wasn't surprised when Jisoo came running into the foyer.

"What just happened?"

She looked at Jennie, and saw that she was tense and breathing heavily; Lisa was too, but she was staring at Jennie in awe in a way which thoroughly confused Jisoo.

"Jennie, what happened?"

Jennie just let out a shaky breath. "Nothing you need to know about."

Jisoo wouldn't accept that answer, and so she pulled Jennie closer to her by her hand, capturing her brown eyes with her own. "Jennie, tell me. Why are you so tense?"

Her wife realized then that keeping the truth from her would only hurt her more in the long run. And so, begrudgingly as one could, she sighed and said: "Suho doesn't approve of our marriage. I yelled at him, and he left."

Jisoo gaped at her. "He...he what? What did he say?"

"He said that our marriage was a joke, Jisoo. That it couldn't ever be real."

"That doesn't sound like Suho."

"It's what he said."

The shock in Jisoo's eyes passed over to be replaced by pure fury, and Jennie failed to voice her protest before Jisoo had thrown open the front door and run out into the driveway, where Suho was just starting his camper van. She stood in the middle of the driveway so that he couldn't drive past her, and glared furiously at him through the glass.

"Suho, what the fuck?"
