"Tyler, I need something that says 'I'm hot as shit and I don't even have to try', without saying 'I'm really hot and I know my boobs look awesome'," I sighed, flipping through the massive amount of clothes in my closet.

He groaned and rolled over onto his back, staring up at my ceiling. He was already in his pajamas and cuddled up in my bed, apparently not even worried about my dinner with Shawn. I, on the other hand, was potentially going to pass out at any moment.

"Tyler!" I snapped.

"What?" He muttered, letting his head tilt backwards to look up at me.

"How about because you're actually hot as shit and don't have to try, you throw on whatever you want. Shawn Mendes doesn't decide what you wear."  I thought back to the night he made me change before going to the club and turned back to my closet.

 "You're right, he doesn't."

 "I know."

"How about this?" I asked, holding my favorite pair of jeans and a striped shirt. "With those new black boots I got? And that gold necklace?"

"Perfect. Now get your hot ass ready so I can give you a pep talk."  I laughed and pulled off my yogurt stained outfit, tossing it into my laundry basket before slipping into the perfectly fitted boyfriend jeans. I stumbled slightly as I put them on, receiving a loud laugh of amusement from Tyler.  I sat down in front of the large mirror and started to swipe mascara on before reapplying my foundation.

"Tyler, have you seen my blush?"

"Under your right knee."  I muttered a thanks as I brushed it over my cheekbones, finally applying a little bit of lipgloss. Standing up, I twirled around at Tyler's commanded. He gave me an approving nod, but tapped his chin on his fingers as he thought.

  "Where's the necklace?"

"Oh yeah," I stammered, grabbing it off of my dresser and slipping it on.

"This better?"

"It's still missing something. I know!" He squealed, jumping out of the bed. He clambered around my room to my closet where he dug through the mess before coming out. He held up a gold and black clutch and a black bowler hat in triumph. "Ha!"

I laughed as I put on the hat and held the clutch, sticking out my hip in a pose. "Better?"

"One last thing."  I stood silently as he swiped a dark, wine colored lipstick over my lips. He stepped back and made me twirl again, this time giving me his final approval with a high five. Giggling, we left my messy room to go to the kitchen.

"I need a shot." I reached into our liquor cabinet, ignoring Tyler's disapproving look as I sipped on the strong vodka.

"That's disgusting," I grimaced. He shook his head playfully and grabbed the bottle from me, taking a sip for himself. We sat side by side on the counter top as we passed the handle back and forth.

"Norah, I don't want you to put up with him," He stated, suddenly serious. His bright blue eyes searched mine as he squeezed my shoulders comfortingly. "Okay?"

 "I won't," I promised.

The doorbell rang and he kissed each of my cheeks quickly, whispering a good luck and going to shut himself in his room for the rest of the night, probably texting one of his multiple boyfriends. I took a deep breath and opened the door.

"Hi Andrew," I said as I stepped out and locked the door behind me.

 "Miss Wilson," He greeted.

"Please, it's Norah."

"Sorry, Mi- Norah."  I gave him a small grin.

"Thanks."  He lead me down to the awaiting car and I slipped into the back seat. My legs were bouncing up and down nervously as I glanced out the window. The bright lights of New York flashed by quickly as we drove. My heart pounded faster and faster the closer we got to his building.

 "Hey Andrew?" I called.

The man glanced up in the rearview mirror. "Yes, Norah?"

"Uhm...How many women spend the night with Shawn? Like, you know. Sleep with him," I muttered awkwardly.

"I'm not at liberty to discuss Mr. Mendes' personal life," He said smoothly.

 "Please, Andrew?"

"I can't. I'm very sorry," He replied. I could tell he was being honest from the tone of his voice. I twisted the rings on my fingers nervously and tried again.

"I won't tell him?"  He let out a soft sigh.

"I can't say how many, but none of them have ever spent the night."  I nodded in thanks and pressed my forehead to the window, more confused than I had been when I got in the car. My headache from earlier was back and worse than ever. Andrew said no one spent the night, but the first time Shawn took me out he wouldn't even let me leave his house.  I shook the thoughts out of my head. I was also probably the first women he hadn't slept with on the first date, and he obviously didn't know how to handle that.

I pinched my eyes shut at the thought and when I opened them again, we were pulling into the garage and I could see Shawn standing by the elevator.  He was back to dressing like normal, in dark suit pants and a white button down and dress shoes. The top button of the shirt was undone, the only thing making him look less like a CEO than usual. His eyes raked over me as I stepped out of the car, taking in my jeans and causal shirt.

"I thought we were having dinner, not going to the park," He stated coldly.  I stopped in my tracks.

"Okay, well I'll leave then. Either that or you can break it down and start again. Your choice," I hissed, already pissed off. He effected me quicker and more thoroughly than anyone I had ever met.

He narrowed his eyes at me and cleared his throat before speaking again. "You look lovely, Norah. Very casual. Lovely choice."

"Thank you, Shawn" I said sarcastically. He scowled and held out his hand.  "Come."  I glanced down at his outstretched fingers  and had gotten a glance of some black ink before grasping my clutch tighter.

 "I'll follow you."

His jaw clenched but he managed to restrain himself from saying anything else. I felt his large hand find it's place on my lower back, leading me into the elevator. Remembering the previous times we had had in the elevator, I quickly stepped away from him as the door shut.

"Are you scared?" He asked quietly.

"Not of you."  With a slight nod, he placed his hands behind his back and stood up straight, keeping his eyes focused on me as we slowly rose in the building. What must have been less than thirty seconds seemed like an hour. The tension was almost palpable.  I finally let out the breath I had been holding as the door opened. Shawn once again placed his hand protectively on my back as he led me towards the kitchen. The large flat looked exactly the same as it had the last time.

"It smells nice," I commented as I sat down.

"Thank you. We are having grilled chicken alfredo, a caesar salad, green beans, and rolls. There is ice cream for dessert," He replied.

Then he turned on his heel and went to the kitchen, returning with two large plates. He set one in front of me and my mouth began watering.  "Did Miss Jennifer make this?" I asked.

"No. I did."

"I didn't know you could cook."

"You do not know a lot of things, Norah," He sighed. I slowly cut my chicken and took a bite under his intense stare. It was mouth-watering delicious.

"Is it okay? I will make something else if it is not." He asked sincerely.

"It's alright," I shrugged. "Tyler makes it better."

He let out a slow breath and nodded his head. I was actually surprised he didn't call me out on my blatant lying. I had to hold myself back from devouring the entire meal in one bite because it was so good. The sound of forks clinking filled the large space.

 "Wine?"

"Yes, please."  He poured us each a glass which I sipped thankfully. It was the most delicious wine I had ever tasted. Besides the wine he gave me the first time I was here. We ate in silence, the only sound were the clinks of our plates. I glanced around the room awkwardly and took a large gulp of my beverage.

"How are you?" He asked.

"Absolutely great. Thanks for asking," I relied cheerfully. I could see his grasp on his fork tighten as I spoke.

  "Is the wine okay?"

 "Yep."

"Are you going to act like this the entire time?"

"Like what?" I smiled, feigning innocence.  He let his fork drop on his plate and turned to me with anger in his brown eyes.

"Do not be immature. You know what I am talking about."

"Please, do explain. Tell me how you want this lovely little relationship we've got going on to work out," I scowled.

 "It isn't a relationship, Norah."

  "I'm leaving," I snapped.

The chair screeched as I stood up and grabbed my clutch off of the table. He watched me with an indifferent gaze as I stalked away from him, boots stomping loudly against the cool tile. I pressed the button for the elevator and waited.  There was a ding signaling it had almost arrived, when I felt his arms wrap around my waist and his face bury into my neck.

"Do not leave," He mumbled.

I tried to fight my body from melting against him. "I'm not doing this, Shawn. You don't care about what I want. You're mean."

"I know you want me. I will not be mean if you're mine. I am trying to not be now, but frankly, you're being fucking annoying. Just stay, Norah." He sighed. His hot breath fanned across my neck and chills went down my spine. Shivering, I tugged his hands off my waist.

"Whatever," I mumbled, pulling myself out of his grasp.

I turned around to face him, ignoring the now open elevator doors behind me. "I'm not yours."

  "That's not true."

"It is," I insisted.  He sighed and ran his hands through his hair, tugging on the ends in exasperation. I watched in a captivated silence as he undid the cuffs of his sleeves and rolled them up, my eyes widening when they saw the black ink scrawled across his wrists.

"You have more tattoos."  The CEO frowned as he looked down at his wrists, where I could see a stick figure mediating and some sort of sound wave formed into a guitar that also turned into trees. He glanced back up at me and quickly rolled down his sleeves to cover them again. "I do."

"I didn't  expect that," I admitted softly. He crossed his arms in front of his chest in defense and smirked at me, eyes now lighting up in amusement.

"I'm full of surprises, Norah."

  "Did you just tease me?"

"Maybe," He taunted. I giggled softly and he reached for me. I flinched away from his fingers and a flash of hurt ran across his face.

"What is the matter?"

"Please don't touch me," I sighed. His hands dropped from me.

"Why not?" He whispered hoarsely.

"Because it confusing. You're confusing. I can't keep up with your mood swings, or you just in general. It's too much. I'm leaving." I rambled, turning around once again to press the elevator button. "I can't do this. I'm not doing this."

His hands grabbed me once again as the elevator door slid open. "Norah," He warned in a chilly tone.

"Let me go!" I stated. I could hear my own voice crack as I fought back the tears. "I'm leaving."

"Just be with me!" He bellowed suddenly, face turning red in frustration as he released me. "I just need you to fucking be with me, Norah!"

We both stopped, me halfway in the elevator and him with his fists clenched at his sides I seemed to be just as surprised by his outburst as he was. There was a long silence after he stopped shouting. My knees started to weaken as all the emotions I had been trying to hold back tonight hit me at once.  Before I knew what was happening, and from the look of shock on his face before he did either, I stalked towards him, tears rolling silently down my cheeks.

Without any hesitation, I drew my hand back and slapped Shawn Mendes across the face.
