** Before we start, I am sorry for being so absent! I gave birth to our 3rd baby on the 26th June! Baby Henry is finally here! So been a busy bee! Thank you everyone who's stuck with me, you know I love you all! I thought I'd repay you with a little fluffy chapter (it will be split into 2!) 😍 **

"That's cheating! You barely flicked the pan!" Bellamy teased as he stood behind Clarke.

The pair of them were in Clarke's kitchen, making breakfast. Bellamy was attempting to teach Clarke how to make the perfect pancake, including how to flip them.

"It still counts! It flipped over!" Clarke protested with a grin.

"Step aside and let a pro show you how it's done." Bellamy smirked as he nudged Clarke out the way.

He picked up the pan and flicked his wrist, making the pan jerk and the pancake flip high into the air. The pancake flipped multiple times in the air before landing perfectly in the pan again. Clarke couldn't help but smile at the cocky grin Bellamy flashed her.

"Very impressive." Clarke said sarcastically.

"At least I can flip a pancake properly, yours hardly left the pan." Bellamy smirked.

"Hey! My flip was fine!" Clarke shot back.

Clarke felt like she was on cloud nine. Nothing could dampen her spirit. Today was the first day in almost a month that Bellamy and Clarke had been able to spend time together due to work or other commitments. But this weekend, neither of them had to work, meaning they had two whole days to spend together. Although Clarke had a feeling they wouldn't get much time alone, considering she hadn't seen Roan in almost two weeks and Bellamy hadn't seen Octavia since they got back from their honeymoon a week ago.

"All I'm saying, is you're lucky to have such an amazing pancake maker for a boyfriend." Bellamy grinned.

"Is that so?" Clarke teased, wrapping her arms around his neck.

"Yep." Bellamy smirked, pulling her closer and pressing his lips to hers.

Clarke giggled into the kiss as Bellamy backed her against the counter. His hand ran down her thigh before he lifted her onto the cold surface and she wrapped her legs around his hips.

"I love you." Clarke grinned as they pulled apart.

"I love you too." Bellamy smiled, brushing hair out of her face.

Clarke leant forward to kiss him again, but was interrupted by her phone ringing. She let her head drop to his shoulder with a groan before reaching for her phone.

"My brother." Clarke informed Bellamy before answering the phone. "Hello?"

Bellamy watched in amusement as he listened to half of their conversation.

"Yeah I'm home."

"Nothing just making breakfast."

"Sure."

"Okay, see you soon."

Clarke hung up and placed her phone back on the counter beside her.

"He's coming over isn't he?" Bellamy smirked.

"Yeah and apparently he's bringing Echo." Clarke shrugged.

"Them two seem to be getting quite serious." Bellamy raised a brow.

"It'll be good for him to settle down with someone." Clarke shrugged. She'd never taken much of an interest in the women her brother got involved with. But lately Roan seemed to be seeing Echo more and more, so Clarke couldn't help but be curious.

"Taken him long enough to find someone." Bellamy nodded.

Clarke's apartment door opened and she exchanged a confused look with Bellamy.

"That can't be them already?" Clarke furrowed her brows.

Before Bellamy could respond, a familiar voice yelled out.

"Hello? Make sure you're decent!"

"Kitchen!" Clarke called out, shaking her head.

Seconds later, Octavia strolled into the kitchen with Lincoln right behind her. Clarke noticed Octavia carrying a large picnic hamper and raised her brow.

"Hey love birds, you going out?" Clarke smirked.

"We decided to go on a picnic and wanted to see if you guys wanna join us?" Octavia grinned, placing the basket on the kitchen counter.

"We'd love to but Roan is on his way." Bellamy answered.

"Bring him along!" Octavia said quickly. She seemed desperate for her brother and best friend to join them.

"He's bringing Echo." Clarke added.

"Really? The same Echo that tried to get with Bellamy at Millers party?" Lincoln smirked earning himself a glare from Bellamy himself.

"Yes that Echo. There's nothing to worry about, she's moved on and I happen to have a girlfriend I love very much." Bellamy said smugly.

"Fine, bring her too. Come on guys I haven't seen you properly for weeks!" Octavia groaned.

Bellamy and Clarke looked at each other briefly before Clarke nodded her head.

"Alright, we'll come. Where are you thinking of going?" Bellamy sighed. He had hoped to spend the day with just Clarke, but he had to admit he was looking forward to spending some time with his sister and friends too.

"The lake? The one we used to go to when we were kids. We'll meet you at our spot in an hour?" Octavia said."

"Sounds good. We'll see you there." Clarke nodded.

Octavia and Lincoln said their goodbyes and left Clarke's apartment. However they weren't left alone long, because as soon as Octavia and Lincoln left, Roan and Echo appeared at Clarke's door.

"Clarke?" Roan called out.

"No ones home." Clarke called back. Bellamy sniggered and turned back to the pancakes.

Roan entered the kitchen, followed by Echo who looked rather uncomfortable.

"What's up little sis?" Roan grinned as he approached Clarke, pulling her in for a hug.

"Hey big bro. Nothing much, you?" Clarke smiled. She hadn't realised how much she'd missed seeing her brother until now. They'd seen each other at least three times a week, and after not seeing him for at least two weeks, Clarke was pleased to finally see him again.

"All good. I don't know if you've met Echo?" Roan said, gesturing to the young woman behind him.

Echo gave a small smile with a quick wave in Clarke's direction. Clarke could see that Echo was nervous about something, and she had a feeling she knew why.

"I haven't had the pleasure, but I believe Bellamy has." Clarke smirked.

"We've met." Bellamy nodded. "Good to see you again Echo."

"Hi." Echo smiled shyly.

"Hey Bell, I got something to show you." Roan said, jerking his head towards the door.

Bellamy raised a questioning brow at Clarke before following his best friend out the door. He knew there was nothing Roan wanted to show him. He just wanted to give Clarke and Echo a chance to talk.

Once they were left alone, Clarke turned to face Echo. For a while neither said a word, leaving an awkward silence to linger between them. Echo began looking around the room, looking at anything and everything to avoid eye contact with Clarke.

"I guess my brother wants us to have a chat?" Clarke said, finally breaking the silence.

"I think so." Echo nodded in agreement.

"Just so you know, I don't have an issue with you or anything like that. Whatever happened between you and Bellamy happened before we got together. And honestly, I'd be a bit of a hypocrite if I said it bothered me." Clarke smiled to herself. After all, she had slept with Finn that night.

"You know he talked about you the whole time? I will admit, my goal was to get him in bed. But after hearing the way he spoke about you, I knew he was crazy about you so I changed my mind." Echo shrugged.

"He did?" Clarke asked, surprised.

"Yep. Kind of a turn off." Echo joked, causing Clarke to laugh.

"Well, you seem to make my brother happy so I guess we're good." Clarke nodded.

"Good. You and Bellamy make a cute couple. I can totally see you guys having a super cute family." Echo smiled.

Clarke's smile dropped at this. She wasn't mad at Echo, the girl had no idea. But it still hurt Clarke. The fact that Clarke wouldn't be able to give Bellamy the family he wanted. This only reminded her that someone else, was in fact giving Bellamy that family.

The door opened again, saving Clarke from having to explain anything to a girl she had just met properly. Bellamy and Roan walked into the kitchen, laughing and shoving each other. However Bellamy soon stood straight when he saw Clarke's face.

"What's wrong? Did we come back too soon?" Bellamy asked.

"No, no everything's fine." Clarke said, forcing a smile onto her face. "We're good."

"Good. So, I hear we have a picnic to invade?" Roan said, clapping his hands together once.

"We do. Let's go." Bellamy grinned.

Roan and Echo left first, but Bellamy stopped and turned to Clarke.

"What's wrong? Talk to me." Bellamy said softly.

"Nothing, I'm fine." Clarke dismissed him.

"Clarke, I know something's bothering you." Bellamy sighed.

"It's nothing, I'm just having a moment. We'll talk later. Come on we gotta go." Clarke smiled.

Bellamy could tell Clarke's smile was fake. He knew something was bothering her and he wished she would talk to him. But he decided not to push any further. Instead, he nodded his head and followed Clarke out the apartment, closing and locking the door behind him.

I love you all! Sorry again! No hate on Echo, she's a nice person in this story cause I like her! (Echo, not Becho!) 😘😘
