KATNISS' POV
"Katniss" I feel a light shake and jolt awake
"Mom? What is it? Is Oakley ok?" I say panicked, my mom sits down next to me
"Katniss"
"Mom please, you sound really weird, what happened?" I say, tears escaping me, my face swelling and blotchy. I've been sitting in this room for hours, I made Haymitch leave, and eventually (after another hour of coaxing) I got Gale to leave as well, but he swore he'd be back in a few hours
"Katniss, shhhh, it's not all bad news" she said stroking my cheek, not ALL bad? What does she mean by that! She was a mother, she still is in some respect, she should know that "the news isn't all bad" isn't comforting, you might as well say 'I have bad news'
"Oakley hasn't woken up yet, but we know what happened AND you can go in and see him" she said with reassuring pat on the shoulders
"Get Haymitch please" I said, wiping my tears on my sleeve
"Ok, what about Gale?"
"I'm starting to let Gale back into my life but I can't spend too much time with him, he reminds me too much of Peeta, the way he cares about me" I say through sniffles. She nods and walks away

I stand there over Oakley's body, he's so small, so still, oh how I long to see those big blue eyes, they are just like his daddy's
I stroke his cheek as tears fall down my own
"Sweetheart?" I whip around to find Haymitch, I try to gather myself before speaking. But when I open my mouth, all that's comes out is a low sob
Haymitch hugs me
"It's okay, what did your mom say?" He asks quietly
"She's on her way to tell me"
"Where's the hunk?" I can't help but chuckle slightly
"I didn't want him to come" I say, calming down
"He reminds you of Peeta" Haymitch says quietly, even though we don't see him often, we are too much like each other to not understand
"I like it when you're sober" I say smile, Haymitch rolls his eyes
"So I can deal with your problems?" he asks sarcastically
I roll my eyes
"If you call this 'dealing with problems' then I suppose so"
"Katniss" my mom says from behind me, I turn around with a longing look
"I'm not sure if Oakley will wake up"
"What?" I said, my eyes clouding again
"Why?!" I start to yell
"Because....."
Petra is gonna murder me....
