When Jisoo had walked out of the house that morning, she didn't expect to be greeted by Jennie, who was standing outside with her suitcase in hand.

The younger girl stood still with a grim expression etched on her face. Snapping out of her trance, Jisoo recomposed herself as she tries to avoid eye contact.

Jisoo: What are you doing here?

Jennie: We need to talk Jisoo.

Jisoo: I've already said everything that I had to say. There's nothing left for us to talk about.

Jennie: Yes there is. And I'm not leaving until you talk to me.

Jisoo stands in her place and stares incredulously at the younger girl. After debating about the matter for while in her head, she decided to move aside and allow Jennie to come in.

•••

After pouring Jennie a glass of water, Jisoo brought it to the younger girl before taking seat.

Jisoo: What did you want to talk about?

Jennie: The whole truth... about what happened to your parents.

Jisoo shook her head as she was struck with confusion at Jennie's words.

Jisoo: What are you talking about Jennie? I already know the truth.

Jennie: No you don't. You only heard it from one side of the story, which was Seungri's. You didn't hear the other side. What had really happened between my father and your parents that night.

Jisoo stares at Jennie with hesitation before nodding in acceptance.

Jisoo: Then tell me. What really happened that night?

A spark of hope lit up within Jennie's heart when she heard that Jisoo was willing to hear her out. She gives her wife a small smile of gratitude before beginning.

Jennie: It's true that my father and Il Woo were selling illegal property. But what you don't know is that Seungri was a part of it too... He was the one who was behind it all, and had convinced my father and Il Woo to do it with him.

Jisoo shuts her eyes in confusion, not quite understanding what Jennie had meant.

Jisoo: What are you talking about Jennie? It was your father who was behind it. Uncle Seungri told me that he had nothing to do with that.

Jennie: He lied to you Jisoo.

Jisoo: What are you talking about?

Jennie leans in closer towards Jisoo as she feels that she was beginning to lose the older girl again.

Jennie: Listen to me Jisoo. Seungri was the one behind everything. He was twisting the story so it would seem like my dad was the criminal. He wanted to use my father as a scapegoat by placing all of the blame on him.

Jisoo furrows her eyes brows in confusion as she feels a sense of betrayal arise within her.

Jisoo: What happened that night Jennie? The night of my parents' accident.

Jennie heaves out a sigh.

Jennie: It's true that my father was the one who killed your parents, but it really had only been an accident.

Jisoo: How can it be an accident?

Jennie: My father didn't purposely drive them off the cliff Jisoo, he was chasing after them to warn them about what Seungri was planning to do. He was trying to save them.

Jisoo raises her hand up and stops Jennie from talking as she felt herself growing more confused than ever.

Jisoo: Hold up, hold up, Jennie-ah... What... what are you talking about? Warn them about what?

Jennie: My father knew that your father was going to report everything to the police. He was willing to be punished for his crimes.

Jisoo: Then why...

Jennie: Seungri was the one who initially wanted to kill your father Jisoo. My father had overheard him planning it with Il Woo. It was the reason why he had chased after your parents that night. In order to warn them.

Jisoo: But in the end it was him who killed my parents.

Jennie places a hand on Jisoo's as she nodded solemnly.

Jennie: My father isn't asking for forgiveness Jisoo. He just wanted you to know the truth about what had really happened. He never intended on killing your parents.

Jisoo shook her head, not being able to believe what she had just heard. She knew that there was something that she was missing. Something she wasn't thinking of. Shutting her eyes tightly, she tries to sort through her emotions, as she pulls her trembling hand away from Jennie's and ran it through her hair.

Jisoo: Why? Why does it have to be him? All this time... I'd let him manipulate me...

A few tears made their way down Jennie's face as she witnesses her wife's broken state. The older girl was an emotional mess, she was lost, and in pain, and Jennie didn't know what to do in order to ease the latter's pain.

She made her way over towards Jisoo and wraps her wife into her arms.

Jennie: I'm sorry Jisoo... I'm so sorry.

Jisoo buries her face into Jennie's shoulder as she reputedly shakes her head, her tears soaking into the fabric of the younger's shirt.

Jisoo: I'm the one who should be sorry Jennie-ah. I-I'm sorry for pushing you away. I just... I didn't want to hurt you... I was so blinded by my revenge that I didn't think about how you would feel...

Jennie: I don't blame you Chu... If being mad at me helps ease your pain, then I'll gladly accept it. I just hope that you will forgive my father despite everything he's done. Take your revenge on me Jisoo... I-I don't want to have to end up losing you or my father.

Jisoo pulls away and stares into Jennie's face. She saw the sincerity and raw pain that was reflected in the younger's eyes, that seemed to pierce through her aching heart.

Jisoo: How can you even say something like that Jendeuk-ah? How can you ever ask me to hate you? To intentionally hurt you?

Jennie: I don't want to lose him... I don't want to lose my father...

The older looks down, and clenches her hand in hesitation.

Jisoo: I... I need to think about it Jennie-ah. Even though your father didn't intentionally murder my parents, he had still killed them... he still ran away from his crimes...

Jennie nodded.

Jennie: I understand Jisoo.

She reaches for the older girl's hand and gives it a soft squeeze.

Jennie: But no matter what you plan to do, just know that I will always stand by your side.

Jisoo returns her wife a grateful smile, before leaning over and placed a kiss on the younger's forehead.

She leans back and lets her forehead touch Jennie's as she stares into the latter's eyes.

Jisoo: Thanks Jendeuk-ah. I love you.

Jennie: I love you too Jisoo... I love you so much. Please remember that.

Jisoo smiles contently at Jennie's words.

Jisoo: How could I ever forget?

•••

Suho leans back in his chair after hearing Jisoo explain everything to him.

Suho: So all this time it had been a set up by your uncle?

Jisoo nodded.

Jisoo: According to what Jennie had heard from her father, Uncle Seungri had been the one behind the selling of illegal properties.

Suho: And he had placed all the blame on Jennie's father?

Jisoo heaves out a sigh before nodding.

Jisoo: And apparently he was planning to kill my parents along with Il Woo.

Suho leans forward in surprise.

Suho: So It wasn't Jiyong who had planned out the murder?

Jisoo shook her head.

Jisoo: Until now, I still can't bring myself to accept the fact that he could ever do something like that... All this time, he was just using me... lied to me...

Jisoo paused for bit as she decides to bring up her suspicions to Suho.

Jisoo: Something's not right oppa. It just doesn't make sense.

Suho eyes the latter questioningly as he leans forward in his chair.

Suho: What doesn't make sense?

Jisoo heaves out a sigh as she shook her head.

Jisoo: I'm not exactly sure... It's just... Don't you find it weird how conveniently everything had turned out? Like it was all planned?

Suho: You mean the accident?

Jisoo  nodded.

Jisoo: Jennie said Uncle Seungri had been the one who was planning to kill my parents. And coincidently, Jiyong had overheard his plans and tried to warn them. But yet he was the one who had ended up killing them.

Suho thought about Jisoo's words for a bit before his mind could grasp onto what the younger girl was suggesting.

Suho: So you're thinking that someone had planned this?

Jisoo nodded.

Jisoo: I think that uncle Seungri is the one behind everything. I just don't know how he had done it.

Suho glances at the younger uncertainly as he tries to read her thoughts.

Suho: What are you planning to do Sooya?

Jisoo: I'm gonna go meet him.

Suho: Seungri?

Jisoo nodded.

Suho: Jisoo! That's absolutely ridiculous! That man is dangerous!

Jisoo: I have to find evidence Oppa. We need to throw him in jail if he really is the one behind everything. I can't let a man like him roam free any longer.

Suho: But we still don't even know what he's capable of! You could very well be walking into a lion's den!

Jisoo: Someone has to do it Oppa. And right now, he still thinks that I believe that Jennie's father is one behind the murder. I have to get him to confess.

Suho shook his head adamantly.

Suho: I still don't agree. It's just too dangerous. Have you forgotten about your illness? It could act up at any time! What if it happens while you're with Seungri?

Jisoo sets her jaw defiantly, as she stares straight into Suho's eyes.

Jisoo: It's a risk that I'm willing to take.

The older male ran a hand through his hair exasperatedly.

Suho: At least do the surgery first Sooya. The sooner you do your surgery, the less I'll have to worry.

Jisoo shook her head.

Jisoo: You don't get it Oppa. I can't do the surgery yet, especially now. There's too much at risk. If it's true that uncle Seungri had wanted to frame Jennie's father, then I'm sure that he isn't safe once my uncle finds out that I know the truth. I can't let Jennie and her father handle this alone. I have to end my uncle before he can do anymore harm.

Suho: Why are you always so goddamn stubborn?! You're always placing your life on the line Jisoo! Why don't you ever think about the people who care about you?! Even if you don't care for your life, we do!

The younger girl releases a heavy sigh as she made her way over towards Suho. She gently places a hand on the older male's chest in order to try and calm him down.

Jisoo: I couldn't do anything to save my parents... And now I have a chance to make everything right. I know it's dangerous... I know that you're worried about me... but I can't go through with the surgery knowing that my uncle is still plotting his revenge on Jennie's father.

Suho's eyes softens as he blinks back his tears.

Suho: At least let Jennie know Sooya. Stop keeping secrets from her. You're only hurting her more by doing this.

Jisoo gazes into Suho's eyes as she ponders on his words. She breaks into a small smile as she nodded her head.

Jisoo: I will oppa.

•••

Seungri looks up when he sees Jisoo enter his office. His face broke into a grin as he greets the younger.

Seungri: Jisoo!

Jisoo faked a smile in return before taking a seat in front of the elder.

Seungri: What brings you here today my dear?

Jisoo: I needed to talk to you about my parents' murder.

Seungri: Ask me anything you want Jisoo. I'll tell you everything you want to know.

Jisoo shifted in her chair nervously for a bit as she fiddled with her thumbs. She takes a careful glance at the man before her, trying to figure out what he hid behind his face. Sensing the awkwardness in the room, she decided to finally speak up.

Jisoo: How are you so sure that it was Jennie's father who killed my parents? And if he did, how do we know that it wasn't just an accident?

Seungri was taken back by Jisoo's questions. He wasn't expecting the younger to ask him such questions for he thought he had already convinced her of his story.

Seungri: Because it's the only explanation Jisoo. There's no way that that could've been an accident.

Jisoo: But what if it was uncle? We weren't there. We can't tell what had actually happened.

Seungri leans forward in his chair and clasps his hands together.

Seungri: All of the evidence points to Kim Jiyong. He was the one your father was trying to report, it was track marks of his car that was found at the crime scene, and it was his name that was printed in those newspapers...

Seungri pauses for a moment as he eyes Jisoo warily.

Seungri: You're not by any chance doubting me, are you?

Jisoo immediately shakes her head, as she chooses her next words carefully.

Jisoo: Of course not uncle. I just think that it's weird how all of the evidence seems to point to Jiyong... Like as if it was set up by someone...

Seungri narrows his eyes as he tries to figure out the younger girl's intentions.

Seungri: I don't know what you're suggesting Jisoo, but I can assure you that I will do everything in my power to help you throw the culprit in jail.

Jisoo nodded slowly, but before she could reply, there was a knock on the door.

Seungri: Come in.

Seungri's secretary made her way in and approaches him.

Secretary: Chairman Lee, your son is here to see you.

The bit of information seemed to have shocked Jisoo. She never knew that her uncle had had any kids. She shoots the elder man a questioning look as Seungri silently curses at the secretary for being so reckless with her words.

He sneaks a glance towards Jisoo, hoping that the latter hadn't heard anything. Instead he was met with her questioning gaze, confirming his suspicions. He clears his throat as he rises from his seat.

Waving the secretary away, he turns back towards Jisoo.

Seungri: I'm sorry Jisoo, but I'll explain to you everything after I get back.

Jisoo nodded slowly.

Jisoo: It's okay uncle. I can wait.

The elder man nodded as he followed his secretary out, leaving Jisoo behind. After making sure that she was alone in the room, Jisoo slips out a spy cam and quickly attaches it underneath the table. She made sure that the camera was recording, before resuming to her previous seated position.

Minutes later, Seungri made his way back into the room.

Seungri: I'm sorry about that Jisoo.

Jisoo: It's okay uncle.

Seungri: I'm sure you're wondering about what the secretary had said.

Jisoo nodded.

Seungri: Like what you've heard, it is true that I have a son. However he isn't my biological son. He was an orphan that I had saved years ago, and so I decided to adopt him.

Jisoo: How come you've never mentioned him before?

Seungri shrugged absentmindedly.

Seungri: It wasn't something that I thought was worth talking about. Besides, the topic never came up.

Jisoo's lips crack into a small smile as she tries to make sense of everything that she had just learned.

Before, she had always thought that Seungri would be the person who she could trust with anything. The person who has loved her as if she were his own daughter, and will always support her no matter what happens.

But now, it's as if she no longer knew who the man sitting before her was anymore.

On one end, he's telling her that he'll always support her, but yet on the other, he's keeping secrets from her, and lied to her. How could she continue to trust a person who had never been honest with her.

Jisoo didn't know what to think as she stared intently into Seungri's eyes.

The elder eyes the younger girl carefully, sensing that there was something that she was hiding from him. He knew that she was wary of him, the tension was thick as it lingered in the air of his office.

After a while, Seungri allows his face to break into a smile as he stands up from his seat. He suspected that his plan was foiled. The CEO didn't know how much the younger girl had found out, or if she  had even found anything at all, but he wasn't willing to take any chances.

Seungri: I have a meeting with some board directors in a few minutes. Would it be okay for us to continue this conversation at a later time?

Jisoo nodded and rose from her seat as well, grateful that Seungri had provided her an excuse to escape from the suffocating room.

Jisoo: Thank you for meeting with me today. I'm sure that everything you said was true, and I was probably just overthinking everything.

Seungri returns her a comforting smile as he places a hand on her shoulder.

Seungri: It's always good to look into the small details Jisoo. I'm glad that you had come to meet with me today.

Jisoo smiles and bows to the elder man.

Jisoo: I'll get going now uncle. I'll see you.

Seungri: Goodbye Jisoo.

Seungri watches as the younger exits from his office. He stands in his place unmoving as he tries to figure out his next steps. After a while of debating, he finally takes out his phone and dialed Il Woo's number.
