I had fallen asleep while watching Tv with Mason in my bedroom .
"Ella" Mason whispered. "Ella" he whispered .
"What" I mumbled half awake . "The scary man is back" he whispered . My heart started pounding when he said that . "Who is it" I whispered . "He's standing at the door ,it's dark" he said worriedly .
I grabbed my phone and chucked it at the door . It was Ashton and I knew that because everyone just turned the light on. I just stared in shock . "Mason , dinner" Ashton said . Mason hopped out of bed and ran downstairs.
Ashton had blood dripping from his hands . He looked at me with a sort of desire in his eyes . I stood up awkwardly to go to dinner . He gently grabbed my face and kissed me . "It wasn't a bet , I do like you , things are more complicated than you know" he said walking out . I stood there in shock as he walked out . "Sorry about the blood" he said walking out .
I walked into the bathroom and washed my face . I looked at myself in the mirror . Did he mean what he said ?.
I walked downstairs to the dinner table and Maria and Christian stared at me in shock . I groaned quietly in pain , as I sat down . "What happened" Christian asked furious seeing as how much pain I was in . "Nothing , it's okay Christian really" I said honestly . "Did you put your hands on her" Christian yelled grabbing Ashton by the collar from across the table .
Ashton looked at his father stubbornly . He's the only one Ashton would listen to . "No let him go" I said demanding Christian to let go of Ashton. "You Carter men , always so quick to judge" I said angrily . "It's was my father" I said weakly as I lay my head down on the table . "And you didn't take her to the fucking hospital" he said grabbing Ashton by the throat now . Ashton was way stronger than his dad , why doesn't he do anything to defend himself ?.
"I'm okay" I said acting fine , but I was in a lot of pain . I seen Mason staring at me from the other side of the table . I could feel something in the back of my throat . Next thing you know, I coughing up blood everywhere.
"Fuck" Christian said grabbing me and carrying me out to the car as fast as he could . I watched as Ashton stared at me in shock , being carried out by Christian .
I had blood all over me . Maybe this is how I die . It's what my father would've loved . Making two people suffer instead of one . He's a monster like that . I never asked Ashton if he killed my father or not for the simple reason i don't care about my father .
But I will not let him ruin the happiness I could have with this family . So for the first time , in a really long time , I want to live . Atleast for Mason .
I lay in the backseat of the car , my head resting on Dylan's lap . I looked at him . "Where's Ashton" I managed say . "He will meet us there" Dylan said worriedly as he held my hand .
My eyes felt heavy . I slowly shut them . "ELLA" Christian snapped at me , my eyes immediately opening . "Don't fall asleep , you will die" he said. "But I'm so tired" I muttered weakly . "Think about Ashton" Dylan said . "Think about how broken you will make him" Dylan said fearfully . But I think it was more if I die , what will happen to Ashton . "Ashton" I mumbled hallucinating. Dylan was now Ashton. "Don't let go" I said as I shut my eyes . "No ella" Dylan said as my eyes shut . I couldn't re open them again . Maybe I didn't regret dying after all .
All I saw was blackness . For awhile.
Then I remembered I was dying . Hm. This is not what I imagined it to be like. Okayyy maybe I want to wake up .
I don't know how though I thought confused. Okay it's just like blinking I thought . I slowly opened my eyes .
The brightness of the light was so overwhelming. I slowly got my vision back as I looked around . My body didn't hurt anymore. I had a new scar , they probably did immediate surgery.
Wait a second. If my wound is healed , HOW LONG HAVE I BEEN ASLEEP.
I looked around and no one was here. Wow what a great way to wake up I thought sarcastically.
There was flowers here . I read the card . "So sorry for your loss" it read . THEY THOUGHT I WAS DEAD wait actually I did too , nevermind. Then Jackson walked in . "Ella" he said happily. "Your awake" he said overwhelmed , hugging me . He kissed me but I didn't kiss back . I didn't want him . I want Ashton .
He stared at me . "That was probably a bit forward considering you only woke up" he said awkwardly walking back to his seat . "How are you" he asked me. I was pretty upset right now . I wanted Ashton to be here. "How long have I been asleep" I asked holding my head . "Two weeks" he said casually . "TWO WEEKS" I yelled covering my mouth .
"Yeah relax" he said . "Relax , Where's Mason" I asked worriedly . "With the guy who called us , he asked us to say goodbye to you since you basically died for awhile" he shrugged eating his ice cream . "I died" I said shocked. "They revived you" he said . I looked at the floor sadly .
"Babe , what's wrong" Jackson asked . "Nothing" I said lying back down .
A few days went by and no one showed up . What did I expect . But I atleast thought I had some sort of a connection with Ashton , but looks like I was wrong .
"Come on , you can come home with me" Jackson said . "I can't" I said . "Why not" he asked disappointed as I stood up. "I need to go see Mason" I said .
"Mason" he questioned. "Yes Mason , look , Jackson I appreciate what you've done for me but we can't be together anymore" I said sadly . "What , your breaking up with me again" he said angrily. "The only reason I got back with you was because I was mad at someone" I said honestly . "Wow , you're a real bitch , you know that" he said walking out . I held my bags as I watched him walk out of the hospital.
